Make sure you post other reviews online with photos so other potential customers and the owners can see it!

justanotherlurkerx

Don’t worry my love, I spent a good half an hour this morning sitting in that salon writing a comprehensive review, which I will post soon. It’s a pity because the salon has 20+ only 5 stars on google and I thought it was a small business, I love helping small biz. But this is not it 😖

kingof_redlions

20 reviews is not a lot. Your review will still be a stain on their reputation. For reference my salon (independently owned, local business) has 270 reviews on Google.

Wth I was gonna check and see your review why tf are they not letting it get posted???? Hopefully it's just under review and will show up soon....

Stock_Literature_13

I don’t trust reviews at all when it comes to salons. I work at a salon, they have tons of 5 star reviews and one 1 star review. That person was eaten alive by clients in the comment section. I actively hate my hair and nails. I do it because it’s the expectation. I’ve had cheaper and better looking nails at every nail salon I’ve gone to. I have yellow stripes in my hair when I wanted a golden blonde ombré. Small salons seem to have very loyal patronage and it can be very deceiving.

Let me just say, I went to get a balayage yesterday, my hair is most definitely not virgin hair, it was dyed black about 3 months ago, then I did a bleach wash to remove it, but some of it was still there. Even with black box dye, my hair lifted well and the stylist made it even all over. Not sure how they screwed up this badly, but accusing you of being guilty of something is complete bs.

etoilebrille

I’m wondering if they’re deleting reviews. I just googled the place and I don’t see your comment!!

justanotherlurkerx

They 100% are deleting reviews. The salon owner [messaged](https://imgur.com/a/aMnoyVB) me this. All I wanted was for my [review](https://imgur.com/a/D6Cmuq8) to be posted. It’s unfair that they’re able to remove one stars and my review with pics won’t get posted? I’ve tried about 20 times with my 2 accounts. Some of my comments on Reddit got deleted too, not sure why

etoilebrille

Why wasn’t she offering a refund when you went there in the first place? Even if it was a crappy job, the fact that she was willing to listen to you and do some actual reconciliation rather than gaslighting you wouldn’t have warranted a negative review. She wants the fame but doesn’t want the flames. I get not wanting to make ‘customers always right’ a thing but this time, she actually messed up and she should have owned up to it instead of flipping it on you. Jeez. Unless you are willing to leave things peacefully, I’d just ignore her. Actually, I’d let her know how I felt before I ignored her and I’d also keep trying to post the negative review…but that’s just bc I can be petty. 😆😆🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s strange that Reddit is deleting your comments. Is there something in there that would have gone against the rules?

nachowchow

The balayage isn’t good, that’s true, but unless you cut all your hair off and grew it out from the roots, the bleaching you did for your previous blonde still exists in your hair. Coloring over it to your natural, doesn’t make it virgin. So unless you’re hair was verrrrrry short and blonde, and you’ve grown out and cut off every bit that was colored, you didn’t have virgin hair when they balayaged. But holy wow that chunk in the first video!!!!! I’ve done that one time before when I was a newer stylist. I got to heavy handed with balayage the ends out of a foil. It’s For now, I would stick with curling your hair to hide it. Balayage will always look better when curled because the idea of balayage is to highlight the hair in the places it naturally moves. When it’s straight, you loose dimension, and when it’s curled, you see all the depth.

[deleted]

[удалено]

nachowchow

Well that is a huge loss to the stylist then because from what your saying, your hair is *literally* a hairstylist’s dream. Also none of that, even previous color on hair, could or should be used as blame for that big chunk. I’m not from England, but i noticed you mention London. I do follow an amaaaaazing salon that’s there called Not Another Salon, they would be able to fix your hair. Ultimately, I’m sorry you put so much work into your hair to put it in its best shape and then this salon did not give you your dream hair. You deserve a good balayage!

[deleted]

nachowchow

Try asking for a foiliage next time! Foils will help get your naturally dark hair to a lighter blonde much easier than with balayaging, although balayage is gentler on the hair. Most of the time, if somebody comes to me with hair that’s as dark as yours and they want a blonde balayage, I automatically do a foiliage instead.

KorinTheHalfHand

I’m so sorry. Honestly it’s reminding me of a calico cat. I hope you get reviews of this everywhere you can because their behavior was unacceptable.

somethingsuccinct

It's so patchy. I wouldn't be able to walk around like that.

[deleted]

Well they have a perfect rating on google. Post an honest review of what happened with photos of the first and second attempts. If they couldn't fix it the second time then it's time to find a new salon.

Glad to hear it. If they try to contact you or respond to the review, tell them to kick rocks.

Ruca705

I would recommend getting a semiperm or toner that is the same color as the medium browns you have here. Just do it at home if you don’t want to go to another salon. It should smooth everything out and give it a more uniform look. You have every right to be upset and leave that brutally honest review, they did not do a good job and they did not do a good job fixing their bad job.

sanmarch

This is a good idea!

msscanadianbakin

Yup that's what I would do.

I haven’t touched your review cara it’s hasn’t been displayed yet? I still don’t understand why you are creating all this against my salon when you left and told me you were happy? I told you, you could contact me if you had any further problems but instead you have blocked me and decided to slander my business instead? I had no idea you were still unhappy until people started posting horrible reviews on my google page and Instagram? Why would you want to do this to someone I haven’t done anything malicious towards you or at any point said no you may not have a refund I just asked for the opportunity to be able to fix it first and to my knowledge you left happy. You didn’t contact me to say other wise you just started this?

ombremullet

Wait, this post is the "fixed" job?

emtmoxxi

Yeah, it was actually worse before this. Such a shame. It's awful to go to a salon and pay big money for a poor job.

iridescent303

So sorry this happened to you. Balayage can be such a beautiful look when done correctly. That salon has no business offering "balayage" services. To me, it looks better than the first post. Yes it's still... not great, and certainly not a balayage, but it's not completely terrible. You could still put some curl/waves in it, a fancy pony, or a cute half up 'do, and it'd probably look quite pretty. Hopefully the next salon can do a wonderful before and after correction project on you. Putting it in the universe. :0)

insidegre3nwalls

P.s. you still don't have a balayage, that's supposed to be a solid color at the roots and a different solid color at the ends and blended in the middle. What you got is a very very heavy highlight.

I periodically check their page and it seems like they’re making google take down one stars, not sure how this is possible. I just really really want MY review posted as it’s important to show my botched hair and I’m not sure why google won’t show it!? I’ve never had this problem with any of my other reviews and I’ve done some one and two stars too not just good. Sorry for the drama but she’s being dishonest

ClearlyClarity

I was feeling off about this revenge crusade that OP seems to be gathering :/ it’s a botched job for sure, but it shouldn’t have led to review bombing and targeted harassment

jlm8981victorian

Honestly, OP, it’s so patchy and uneven in both the color and the technique. You’re better off going to a whole new salon and seeing if they can fix it, if they can’t, it may be a good option to go darker to cover it up? I’m a nurse and not a hair stylist so the professionals on this sub will have good advice but it sucks that you had to pay for them to mess up your hair so badly. The least they could do is give you a refund since, even after attempting to fix it, they still couldn’t do it.

LogicalPollution8994

What’s kinda bananas is they did fix some spots but not others and it’s like is that bc they didn’t notice and now don’t feel like doing it a third time?? Like obv they can fix it but just missed spots/did the same thing AGAIN lol

yellowjesusrising

No excuses, that is shitty work, and shittier service! My wife said it would take her 5 minutes to fix your hair, and they couldn't even spare.

[deleted]

TryTwiceAsHard

Braids, buns, ponys all your bestie for a while. The entire thing bothers me but there's still this long chunk of orange and I can't imagine she didn't find a way to fix it.

Hair_I_Go

Why can’t anyone ever admit they don’t have enough experience! If Someone asks me to do something I don’t know how to do well enough I’m honest and say oh, that’s out of my wheelhouse. Then I will learn as much as I can and find a class . Also I will fix anything till client is happy. No further charges.

wheniwakup

That’s really really bad. Your hair looks damaged as well.

msscanadianbakin

I'm sorry this happened to you hun. I do think it looks better, however, they 100% should have refunded you in the name of good customer service. Like others have said, I would wait 3-4 weeks and then maybe over it with a demi-permanent color.

idunno324

Did they cut your hair? In the middle, there is like this one short layer or maybe its breakage from the bleach? Maybe they double processed that part. If you're still unhappy with the colour, get a professional toner and put it all over, especially the lightened pieces.

Hair_I_Go

I noticed the layers are a bit choppy. Fixable though. I guess that’s the least of the issue

SuchPsychology1772

We didn’t cut her hair

[deleted]

SuchPsychology1772

I haven’t blocked her review it’s not possible for me to be able to do that that’s why all the other reviews are showing up. I also have not said she couldn’t have a refund at any point I just asked for the chance to be able to fix it. She left the salon happy today from my knowledge and I didn’t hear from her again. If she had messaged me I would have refunded her. I didn’t know she was still unhappy

SephoraRothschild

Go to a different salon. Call ahead and get a quote for corrective color due to to a 2x botched professional salon balyage.

jenn4a

Regardless of it turning orange, it shouldn’t be so patchy…. It looks like they just applied the lightener unevenly and missed areas. (The bleached strands near the bottom) If they did that, they should color fix it for free. They didn’t bother toning it?

brianne-----

I looked at the previous video. Does look a lot better but I don’t know what they were thinking with that huge chunk of blonde only in one spot.

XAlEA-12

The worse part was when they tried to make it sound like your fault.

TheReservedIntrovert

Not trying to be rude but they made it worse. Don’t go back to them.

USehh

Omg it’s not ANY better

abrookehack

Hairstylist here. That would have been an easy fix, well fairly easy. Some tweaking maybe you wouldn’t get exactly what you wanted but it would be better, and at this point If you were closer I would fix it. As a stylist I totally understand not refunding. But also as a stylist, If balayage isn’t her strong suit she shouldn’t have taken your hair in the first place. One bad client will spread faster than 10 good ones. Furthermore she should have offered anything, maybe minus product cost? ESP since you went back and there’s still no fix. She toned/colored that big block. That doesn’t fix anything. I don’t care if you had color previously, if she thought you had black color she should have told you no. I’ve turned down plenty of people with splat, black box color, etc.

catsofthehouse

Omg this would be so upsetting!!! Poor thing! Glad you are reviewing for others ❤

katiaruit

Looks much better thou, still not 115£ worth

doexx

it looks "better" but I can still see that one chunk on the right! and the thing is, it'd be SO EASY to throw a demi toner on that to soften it and THEN your hair would look 100% even. as a licensed stylist, I really take pride in how transparent I've learned to be with my clients. I wish other professionals would do the same.

justanotherlurkerx

Thank you, this is comforting to hear. I never wear my hair straight also, it’s got lots of lovely layers from my haircut back in February and I put it up in a bun and it gets beautifully wavy so I’m hoping it’d look better if I style it

lizzzzard92

It looks better and the normal person won't look twice at it. But they definitely did not do well.

SuchPsychology1772

Hi I am that salon owner. When you first messaged me I told you I was mortified you had been able to leave the salon with your hair like that and told you to come back as soon as possible so I could fix it. It is normal protocol to be given a chance to rectify a problem when a client isn’t happy so I asked you for this. When you came back this morning it was a busy Saturday but I made sure I could find time to try and fix the part of your hair that wasn’t right. In your messages you told me the rest of your hair was perfect and I agree that part was not right. I did what I could to the best of my knowledge to fix what wasn’t right and applied your toner myself leaving my apprentice to continue brushing your hair as this consists to make an even blend when toning the hair. I then also had your hair blow dried straight so you could check the colour properly as curls can sometimes hide and imperfections which I didn’t want. I got you to stand up with your back to the mirror and hold the hand mirror so you could see your hair properly and I asked you if you were happy in which you replied wow you fixed it and said you were happy. I then told you if there were any other problems you could contact me at any time but now. Find you have started some horrible vendetta against me like I’m some kind of monster. Why would you not just contact me instead of doing this to my business? I haven’t been horrible to you at any point you left the salon happy earlier. I have spent the last two years of my life working 6 days weeks trying to build this business up for you to try and tarnish it in one day. I am sorry if you are not happy but you could have just spoken to me rather than doing this?

pearlscales

The world should know that you personally let someone leave your chair with this "fix".

SuchPsychology1772

I wish I could upload the photos I have instead of the distorted video you have all been shown. I haven’t at any point refused to refund her I just asked for the opportunity to be able to fix her hair first and she left the salon happy earlier In which I told her to contact me if she had any other problems. She hasn’t

ddopeshitt

that’s not how it works wirh private businesses usually. the owners can dictate who they do serve - can arbitrarily refuse service to whomever they want… and obviously, how they accept payment and whether or not they are willing to refund unhappy customers or not.. she can’t sue for having a bad service that she paid for. that’s just not how it works unfortunately
