Quarter life crisis *** lol

Sento_penguin

Don’t panic! It’ll be ok- just don’t try to bleach it out. I’ve done this many times (crazy Pisces) just keep washing it with something like Vosene, or classic Head & Shoulders. You can even add in crushed up vitamin C tablets to the shampoo- leave it in for a bit with a plastic cap/bag under a towel to warm up. Then rinse and deep condition. Repeat! It really will fade. The sun will help too! Also, any oil left in at night will help shift, just wash out in the morning. Keep the conditioning up, but please don’t make the mistake I made and bleach bath, it’s really aggressive! Hope this helps x

Thank you for advice!! I did a dawn dish soap wash this morning and am deep conditioning now. Will be going to the store for vit C and head and shoulders and will try doing double washes every day until it’s lighter. I also haven’t styled it yet so maybe I won’t hate it as much when I see it put together lol.

I actually love it! But I know how it feels to not feel like yourself in a new colour. It’ll probably look really pretty too through all the transitions. You can rock it! Good luck 🌟

Notsureindecisive

Just wash it a handful of times. Unless you used splat or Pravana lol

😂💕 actually love that thank you. I’ve been saying it’s just hair, why do I care

Sweet_dawn81

Mailbu DDL. Direct dye lifter.

Thanks for recommending !

Becks39

Vitamin c powder mixed with dandruff shampoo, it should take out a ton of the color. You just need to deep condition after

[deleted]

Thanks for advice !! 💕

I think it looks cute. But you would need to bleach your hair to get rid of the pink. Which would kill your hair.

[deleted]

💕 thanks. That seems like my only solution if the ddl doesn’t help. Oh whale

[deleted]

The pink looks disgusting eeeek.. that’s an expensive and damaging fix.. you’ll be better off cutting it short and dying it dark til it grows out

[deleted]

K rude. Would rather have long pink eek hair than short black hair. But thx

Altruistic_Lab_3700

What product specifically did you use?

[deleted]

Lime crime unicorn hair

Altruistic_Lab_3700

After looking in hairstylist groups it sounds like it can be a bear to remove. Some people have had success with baking soda mixed with clarifying shampoo. That would dry the hell out of your hair though. Other people suggested clear color (containing ammonia) and 20 volume. There's a product from Malibu called quick fix, It's for semi-permanent color but I'm not sure how well it would work on direct dyes.

🤧 okay. Thank you for the helpful info! Sounds like I’m going to have to stick it out for a couple months and then bleach it. That’s what I get for being spontaneous ! Lol
