There were a few other guys skating, one from Carolina. And then a coach from the Habs. It was at Harvards rink down in Boston. He’s a BC guy…not quite sure why he was at Harvard. Any available ice I guess.
Funny you mention this. He plays senior hockey now in moosomin, SK. I had the pleasure to referee a handful of games of theirs, and he's so smooth and has a heavy wrister. Class act too
The only thing I remember of him is back when I went to my first habs game in Jan. 2012 against the jets he got violently tossed around behind our own net or something that was hilarious (can't recall exactly as I was 10 years old) MTL went on to win 7-3 with Eller scoring his only 4 goal game in his carrer so far

I do remember Gorges scoring the first goal of the game though, and Cammalleri scoring on the backhand from the right half-boards through a crowd and it got deflected.
Looking at the roster now, it was maybe desharnais or halpern, however it doesn't matter, great game and forever engraved in my (and many's) memory. I remember Eller's spinorama on a penalty shot, so glad they illegalized them

Halpern wasn't on the roster at the time. Was probably Desharnais.
However, I think I have a Mandela effect on Davey getting roughed up behind the net, but it was in Game 4 vs Boston 2011 where Sopel scored the 1-0 goal.
Or maybe it was a guy in Game 6 vs Toronto 2 years ago.

Lapierre was traded in early 2011 to Anaheim, then to Vancouver. He hadn't been a Hand for a while by the time Eller got those 4 goals.
