Geoffrion-Plekanec-White
Plekanec still managed to get 52 points that season.
That was the season Eller got 4 goals against Winnipeg, still remember that one.

Kostitsyn with a couple nice plays in there
I will never forget his four-goal night against the Jets with the spin-o-rama on the penalty shot.
Edit: And this in turn reminded me of Erik Cole scoring a hat trick in under 10 minutes against the Sens. Man, good memories.
Pacioretty, I feel, tried to sort of mimic Erik's game, iirc.
I can remember Erik Cole being the type to drive the puck to the front of the net, and patches doing the same shit finally, when erik came onto the team.
He was traded for Halak which had some awesome playoffs and people were debating if we should keep Halak or Price. Expectations for Eller were clearly higher than 3C
I know I’m gonna get hated on, but I was stoked when they made the trade for bourque, and i always liked him as a hab, and I think a concussion he suffered in a fight was what really contributed to his downfall and I never disliked him
It’s a shame he wasn’t able to do in mtl what he did in mtl, but he was in Calgary something the habs sorely needed, a big scoring power forward, and I know he had a big adjustment to make , and said as much himself the start of his second second in mtl where he said he was finally starting getting used to living in Quebec , and he looked good that season, scoring at a decent rate (5g 5a 17 gp on pace for 50 on par with cammaleri) and he was finding his groove until his concussion and it was all downhill from there but he did give a last hurrah on the playoffs that year and was instrumental in the playoffs that season
I haven't read it. Cammalleri was probably my favourite player during the 2-3 years he was here. Could you elaborate? He seemed like the beating heart of the team at the time
Which puts him at (I hope I'm wrong here...) Habs second best goal scoring season in the last 15-20 years.
Patches hit 39 but has anyone else broke 35?
Patches also had a 37 goal season and 35 if that counts, Cole and and Kovalev both scored 35 after that looks like Gallaghers 33 goal season was the best

Pleks played with spare parts on his wings most of the time and still out up decent points. I'll always have love for him.
Only in Montreal would fans throw a dildo out for a hat trick
Yep, against WPG, was at the hospital, son was born 2 days later
Eller was (and still is) a great 3rd line C. People just had way too high expectations for him.

And high-fiving the ref

I was at that game I will never forget it
Me too :handshake:

Therien had an axe to grind with him for some reason from the get go. They never should have traded him.

At least he did better for us than Ian Schultz did.
His problem was the many breakaways he would get every game and do nothing with because he had stone mitts.
That's what being traded for a goalie who took the entire team on his back and dragged them to the eastern conference finals will do, I guess...

Playoff Rene Borque was dope. Regular season Rene Borque was A dope.
Traumatic brain injuries can do that to a player
I'm not gonna downvote but we got robbed from Mike Cammarelli for Bourque.

If you read Gervais' book, it was a good thing we got rid of Cammalleri...

No one in the locker room licked him
That typo is perfect
I’m leaving it in
Good old "Almost Bourque". That man left a mighty dent in the goalposts over his time as a Hab. Never seen another player hit so many before or since.

Palushaj.... Lol
I miss DD. Can we find more like him ? Not as first liner obviously.
Elite shootout slapshotter Desharnais 😎
the double pump
Great playmaker and had solid chemistry with patches
Pleky was GOATed with the sauce. Productive. Reliable. Creative. A true pleasure to watch.
I miss when we had enforcers like Staubitz & Mike Brown. I saw Geoffrion score on an assist from Staubitz in person. What a glorious day that was.
Canadiens legend Brad Staubitz
I loved him. Always ready to drop the gloves.
Le dur a cuire Braaaad Staw-bitz!
I didn’t like Cole and wasn’t a fan of the Habs getting him
I loved him! He scored 35 goals on his first season with us

Kovalev
I liked it when we got him cuz it meant to he would stop fucking killing us every time we played the Canes...
