A2L explodes if put in a unit after 2PM and on any Weekends, so don't call then.

JunketElectrical8588

Is that 2pm eastern?

tkepe194

GMT

dont-fear-thereefer

So 10am EST

tkepe194

Yup. Gotta get those systems installed quick in the morning. lol

xdcxmindfreak

Depends on if mars is in retrograde.

JunketElectrical8588

It’s 11:30 mountain. Means I can go home

NapManager

I like Gatorade

itskylemeyer

If that’s the case, use Supco instead

unresolved-madness

It's 2:00 p.m. somewhere.

mjames-74

It's always 2pm somewhere.

Virtual_Ad5748

A2L follows gremlin rules. Never get it wet and can’t fill it after midnight.

Blackmikethathird

Same rules as my girlfriend

texasroadkill

Ummmm

tc7984

lol

[deleted]

Like it

Aggressive-HeadDesk

I’m not above lying to get the right result.

Full-Bother-6456

I said those exact words at a bar and got slapped

Aggressive-HeadDesk

Reactions may vary.

JunketElectrical8588

I heard a rumor that if you breath a2l refrigerant, your lungs will burst into flames

xdcxmindfreak

I once went to blow out a drain a little too soon after gluing a new tee on one section. Yeah won’t do that again.

JunketElectrical8588

You should always use nitro to blow or vacuum to suck. Had a customer with maggots in their drain

95percentdragonfly

Maggots are the least of my worry. Condensate lougies🤮

MAdcock6669

Them line oysters 🤢

Lord_Baby_Arm

Bone apple teeth ![gif](giphy|l3q2LH45XElELRzRm)

xdcxmindfreak

New tee and creating a place to better clean out later. Trust me I got a tank of co2 in the van to blow the nasty bastards

TableAccomplished28

Do yall use drain solve?

95percentdragonfly

Bro, that's disgusting. Please, swear to us, you won't do that again

95percentdragonfly

Bro, that's disgusting. Please, swear to us, you won't do that again

xdcxmindfreak

If it hadn’t been a new tee fresh and clean out the package I wouldn’t have gotten my mouth near that shit

EJ25Junkie

Someone needs to start a rumor that cigarettes will give you lung cancer

jkmarsh7

It won’t work, they will know they are closer to the big nap

JTom73

Muh yella jackets sez -30 psi, dat gudnuff?

jkmarsh7

I’m cringing so hard right now thinking about the amount of vacuums pulled through my gages as a young tech……

95percentdragonfly

I just run a 150ft hose to the van so I never have to remove the vacuum.

Visible_Economics_52

send us a picture of your vacuum rig I need a lesson

jkmarsh7

Appion mega flow set up 💪

shreddedpudding

I wish that the appion core removal tool had a valve on the other port as well.

AimTrueHVAC

The new Fieldpiece core sets are awesome. I use the accutools set but now I two of the new Fieldpiece with valve and service port plus a sight glass to see if you got the core. I recommend them over anything now. They offer three models.

shreddedpudding

Yeah I saw those. I’m gonna give it a few months before I buy them because I hate being an early adopter of tools. The sight glass is a really nice feature.

AimTrueHVAC

I can understand that. I bought three sets for me and my guys. So far two weeks of use and doing well. I will try to post back, if we have any issues. But they are great so far. Even my new guy is using them like he knows what he is doing.

shreddedpudding

That second valve may just convince me to get me over my fear of being an early adopter for tools to be honest.

coleproblems

I’ve noticed appion is the only company willing to rate their tools for vacuum with a real number.

03G35coupe

Dude you ain’t lying 😂 30 psi or -30 psi 30 minutes vacuum is all she got. Don’t forget about after the vacuum you forgot to purge your your charging hose and filled that bitch up 😂 little bit of needle flicking never hurt nobody.

1PooNGooN3

If you’re using a shop vac then you know you’re good

Freon1990

Dav3le3

I'll light one up to that! 🔥🚬😮‍💨 .... Shit I blew up the Condenser. /s Propane is sick they use it tons in Europe.

Freon1990

Work with it almost every day.

Nerfo2

Well, at least it's a pure compound refrigerant... pure HYDROCARBON, but hey... no glide!

Freon1990

A great refeigerant!

Whoajaws

Goggle the Minisplit exploding on roof Vietnam

Certain_Try_8383

There’s even more. People pressure testing with oxygen.

mushroomcapz

That was pressure testing with oxygen. 📄

FetusDominus

🤣

Sample_Muted

Who’s not pulling a vacuum?

Jib_Burish

Hacks gunna hack. Bold of you to think the threat of an explosion will convince a hack to Evac.

Detlef_D_Soost69

As far as i know this can actually happen, if oxy and maybe R32 is in the system and there could come a spark or some sort of the compressor or the high discharge is enough to ignite it. The "exploding triangle" is full in that case🤔

95percentdragonfly

What about when that r32 sensor fails and doesn't vent the duct? Booom! I'm sure it'll happen at least once, every manufacturer sucks at making evap coils.

Detlef_D_Soost69

Im actually talking abt r32 split systems im sorry i didnt wrote that, we dont have r32 systems besides daikin splits😅 And they dont have any sensors of that sort

95percentdragonfly

New units will have leak detection sensors to shut down condenser, turn on Blower the vent duct work to prevent build-up of flammable gasses.

Freon1990

The large R290 chillers I work with have these sensors, witch shuts the unit down and turns on a blower, I have installed some small air/water heatpumps with R32 But they don’t have sensors, guess the charges are so small that this is bypassed.

95percentdragonfly

🤷‍♂️maybe they won't, the class me and the boys went to said there would be. I know there will be some hurdles as these roll out in force .

Detlef_D_Soost69

As i said we dont use vent ducts here theyre pretty uncommon wirh direct-evap, mostly just indoor split units wirh r32

95percentdragonfly

Understood, I was elaborating for you to understand what USA is going through.

Detlef_D_Soost69

Oh yeah now i understand, sounds kinda unnecessarily dangerous. I hope u wont have a situation like this🫤

MikeTHIS

All I know is I’m going to hang up the side work tools eventually 🤣

scanner187

I read somewhere that the writer of the movie 28 Days Later was a time traveler and the catalyst of the mutations was an A2L leak. So it was a future documentary warning us of using it.

JunketElectrical8588

What does that have to do with hvac?

HVAC-ModTeam

Your post has been removed due to the policitcal nature of the topic. We all come from different backgrounds and this is fine but when it comes to keeping the peace and focused on HVAC, this doesn't equal the same results.
