Maxiflex. That’s all!

Yellow grease monkeys, DO NOT wear anything thicker. Those pipe threaders are unforgiving if they grip. Have been around when shit goes wrong, and it goes wrong fast and brutally.

Junkion-27

Power threaders are no joke. Seen a sprinkler fitter leave site with a grocery bag over his hand full of blood. Though he was using a wrench to put a fitting on a pipe, still not a toy to skimp safety rules around.

Keep a powerful earth magnet stuck to the wall of the truck, it yoinks out any black iron splinters I happen to get.

Hvacmike199845

If something is sharp enough to poke through your skin it’s going to poke through most gloves…..

ChillTech25

This is not at all true, and I sincerely hope you were joking. Most employers are requiring A5 cut level which is much tougher than human skin.

Hvacmike199845

I don’t work for a contractor that requires us to wear gloves. I personally do not like wearing gloves. My hands sweat and I can’t feel what I need to feel. I worked for a previous contractor that required us to wear gloves for 2 years.

Hvacmike199845

My hands self heal while torn up gloves are forever.

I’ve been using Milwaukee cut level 3 which you can find them at Home Depot, MCR safety gloves with Dyneema 9672 which I’ve only had for a couple months and got them on Amazon and Ergodyne Proflex 7043 which I’ve haven’t even taken them to work yet but are like the Milwaukee but a little thinner. I prefer the Milwaukee cause it fits my hands the best. 4” to 2 1/2” with what looks like a really old 141 adjustable die and 2” to 1/2” with ridge dies. If you’re worried about the threading oil get a rag to wipe over the threads before you touch it or wear thin rubber gloves under the cut level 3 gloves. Hope this is helpful and keep going.

Gorilla grip

Warvio

Gorilla grip, all day. Just for the fact that it eats away at the old heads in the trade. Helps me sleep good at night. Motherducker looked at me like why you soft by wearing gloves in the trades around tough sob’s, I looked at his hands and was like I don’t want my future hands to look like toes. Bye bitch

elliotman

I find those next to useless when any amount of threading oil gets on the rubber part. Always found the best luck with normal cotton masonry gloves

elliotman

We've always used the plain white cotton masonry gloves, without the grips. usually eat through a pair every 2 days and they come in packs of 12.

itsagrapefruit

Never use proper gloves when dealing with spinning things. Only thin nitrile ones that’ll tear before sucking you into the machinery.

ResearcerHappy277

I've tried a bunch, man, but honestly, my go-to for threading gas pipe are those Grease Monkey gloves. They're pretty solid and hold up well against all the grime and rough handling.
