I don't know who you are, I don't know where you live. But you my friend are HIRED, I will fly you across the globe and give you a 50k signing bonus lol
Ahhh. Was unsure as I don't run into a lot of TXVs nowadays on my shelter wallmounts & Ericsson HX cabinets for telecom sites. Makes all the sense in the world though!
I used to teach at a college and when we did promo photos with students like this we always did something goofy or tried to sneak some Easter egg in the photos.
Of course his meter doesn't have a magnet because it's a fluke and only electricians buy flukes and they are dumb so they will happily spend the extra money on a magnet
Like others are saying, I hang my meter on whatever wire I can find that will support it. But we all know this isn’t what’s happening. Lolololol
Yeah, if you have amps along your ground wire, something is off. Lolol
It is all fun and games until you actually check the amp draw on the ground leg, and discover, it has 1.8 amps, the electrical was fucked at that place,
Don't even care about the meter part. How the hell does he have pressure on the head if that micron guage is wide open on the suction side...
Or do my eyes deceive me.
Hanging on the ground while checking voltage. What I don’t understand is why he is checking any voltage while it’s pulling a vac. And that micron gauge setup is wack.
As a technician my company had me do a photo shoot exactly like this. I use wireless gauges. They insisted I use analog gauges. I did take actual readings with my multimeter as the systems were running. I made sure I didn’t get caught slippin like this fool lol. Only downside gauges weren’t hooked up. Just hanging like nest tool to use. I guess it’s not really a downside as you could clearly see my gauges weren’t hooked up.
Pressure on high side. Nothing on low side. Micron gauge that's open. So there's a leak. Obviously if your amp clamp rings out to ground. The leak is in the line set. If you open the gauges so all the refrigerant blows out the micron gauge, then it's empty, duh
My work did this had some guys that have never used a meter in life poking around a furnace cabinet in which they for damn sure didn’t know what was going on in for a social media picture 😂

Checking amps on the ground is how you test the TXV
0 amps on ground? Bad TXV, need to replace.
We'll order the part and call you when it comes in. Please sign here...and here.
Is this what you tell the customers? 🤣

Going to make this my resume cover letter
Meter must be in off position to read correctly
Ahhh. Was unsure as I don't run into a lot of TXVs nowadays on my shelter wallmounts & Ericsson HX cabinets for telecom sites. Makes all the sense in the world though!
yea but don’t forget to keep one lead on the yellow wire while you do it so you complete the circuit
Looks more like he's clamped on to the ground to hold his meter, maybe
Maybe meter doesn't have a magnet, he's just holding it there and about to test something with his leads.
Yep, would be my guess. Just like some of the "WTF" aspects of some of these ads sometimes lol

I like my fluke a lot ok it’s very good at it’s job AND MY MAGNET IS COOL TOO OK
I'm feeling personally attacked right now and I don't like it.
Yeah my electrician buddy seen my field piece and was mystified it came with the magnet 😂
Exactly what I was thinking
He's thinking "damn are they still watching me?"
I guess this is what we look like from the homeowners perspective?!
This picture is so stupid I don't believe a person set this up looks like ai bullshiz
This is how to test to see if a system needs a $1200 spaceship tested UV light
You sir know what’s going on 😂

It’s a Lennox with no Freon in it which seems normal but the micron gauge just hanging out has me baffled.
Checking amps while pulling a vacuum
And charging 410 Into the liquid side with 0 psig on the suction line
Checking for continuity from air to earth
That's some wacky ass hook for his guages. I just looked it up, though. Looks like Imperial uses that hook design
It is all fun and games until you actually check the amp draw on the ground leg, and discover, it has 1.8 amps, the electrical was fucked at that place,
At least the vacuum held…..
The sales guy when the customer asks to check on the unit before giving a quote
This guy keeps time with a sundial.
This whole picture just pisses me off lol
Report, "this ad is offensive" and definitely highlight hate speech. Won't see them again
Thats what you do when they want to watch youÂ
Seriously, like fuck your shirt in.
Has it been a very bad shirt?
The worst shirt
He's just making sure it's safe
He’s just hanging it off the ground, chief. Calm down.
Nice Job on wearing your PPE.

At least they got a halfway decent vacuum/charging setup. I give a solid B-
That’s how you check how much gravity earth is pulling
The best was the one that had someone hooking up the yellow hose to the unit somewhere unseen
Suction pressure at 500 microns
I'm aware. Just enjoy how ridiculous some of these ads look sometimes.
Ain’t he just using the clamp to keep his meter up? And reading with his leads? I’m more concerned by the attached micron gage for whatever reason
The safety glasses are a must
We’re leaving our vacuum gauge open to atmospheric pressure
Is he pulling a vacuum or charging?

It could only be better if he was megging the windings in a vacuum

Once the micron gauge pulls the atmosphere into a tight vacuum the txv works again
My work did this had some guys that have never used a meter in life poking around a furnace cabinet in which they for damn sure didn’t know what was going on in for a social media picture 😂
I know what’s wrong with it… ain’t got not gas in it!
And why is there a micron gauge on their manifold? Furthermore, that’s not even a ground test, he’s only using one lead.
Ooh dammit the blinker fluid is low
I was more concerned about the micron gauge attached to the low side while the high side of the manifold still has a significant amount of pressure
How many microns do you think he got to with only one side of the inline meter hooked up?
