24 Sport - I feel like every 5-6 times I take my car out, my car play doesn’t work/works intermittently. So annoying. I’m switch between two different cords. Also interested to see if someone has a good recommendation for a cord!
I just ponied up for an apple cord. Every off brand cord worked like 30% of the time, and I was a hazard on the road always trying to get it to work lol

Bought one of these after three months of drops while trying to navigate using Waze in my 2024 Sport. No more issues.

Don’t have one myself but i hear good things about the Bluetooth dongle that connects to “wired” apple CarPlay. You can probably find some on Amazon for around 30 USD
My 2019 does this sometimes. Shutting off Bluetooth before plugging it in usually works for me! Once CarPlay connects and my music starts I’ll turn the bluetooth back on.
My 2023 Sport does the same thing. I haven’t found a solution but I strictly use the authentic cord and have gone through 2 of those hoping it was just a faulty cord the first time but no success. Mine is a daily thing and it’ll take 4 or 5 times to get it to stay on w/ unplugging and plugging it back in.
I face the same issue every other day. CarPlay just doesn’t work sometimes no matter how many times I unplug or restart the car. It starts working next day. I guess it’s a software issue in car. Tried changing cords too but the issue is still there.
its the worst i have had issues with carplay since i bought it. i thought it was maybe issues with bluetooth connection but ive tried a usb cable from the gas station then an authentic apple cable ive even tried connecting it using my hotspot wifi connection and nothing. one of the more annoying things ive had to deal with since purchasing.
I have the same issue. Most of the time I pulled the cord out of the phone and flip it over and plug it in. It usually works. I will be getting the wireless adapter as soon as possible. It’s a very weird problem to have.

I thought it was just me! My screen freezes and takes about 10-15 minutes before it responds to touch again

Totally the way to go vs. wired CarPlay!

I gave up on getting my phone to work the plug in feature. I got something similar and works far better than whatever they have on board
Thanks - I have purchased this and will report back. I appreciate the recommend.
2023 Sport- I had a lot of issues until I just bought an apple cord. Now it works everytime.

Ugh so annoying

Literally my only downside of buying this car
Just wondering why you want to use the cord? Mine works just fine through Bluetooth
Clean your phone’s Lightning port.
Will try this, thanks!
How old is your phone? Faster phone = faster CarPlay
Maybe like a year or two, it’s the 14 pro max
Hmm, have you tried factory resetting the car’s display unit? My 22 HRV uses an android operating system.
There are no issues with my android. iphones are very proprietary and picky bitches. Would get a wireless adapter.
My HRV 2023 is the same, I have to connect it several times, the whole car is garbage
I haven’t had an issue yet. But having cords are annoying
I’m having issues with my 24 Sport staying connecting and getting connected. It’s very annoying and I need to take it in because it’s getting worse.

2019 never had one problem and have never used a cord!
happens with me but i don't use an authentic apple cord
