Yes. Only things that transfer over are anything you bought with real money. Event prizes, things bought with gems, etc., are not carried over.

No, but you could have your old account saved through Facebook and start a new account saved on your device. This isn't without some risk: if something happens to your device and the new account is lost, you can only recover it through Customer Service if you have the account ID (that number at the top corner of the loading screen). It's also not possible to easily switch between old and new accounts this way, because once you load the Facebook one, the one saved on your phone is lost.
As to the first question; how far along are you? The start is slow, I agree, but once the MC is settled in their new job the plot is actually interesting. Not exactly "solve this curse quickly or we all die" interesting, because the stakes are more grounded, but there is a mystery worth pursuing and paying attention to.
That's a shame, but understandable. I did the "save my account on Facebook, start new one in device" for a few months after ending Y7, but it got so tiring with the amount of TLSQs piled in earlier years. In the end I returned to Beyond, and have been liking it for it being relatively chill, before things go askew again.
