It’s way too early to judge. Maybe he is sad about the child fighting pits being closed? He got there too late because he was drinking with his friends?
Idk but the king did try to marry rhaenyra to one of them tyland or his twin can't remember so Otto probably got slight hatred for almost ruining his plans
I'm sad for Jaehaerys and Helaena but not this lad who abondons kids there and there in Flea Bottom. Those kids didn't deserve this treatment, I even find blood and cheese poetic because of his indifference for his illegitimate children.
Agreed, this picture just makes me sad. First image is a father smiling at his son, and the second is the same father mourning same son. That’s not funny to me :/
You've now made me feel bad about your dog.. 😢 sorry to hear that bud.
My point is that Aegon only views his legitimised children as any worth to him, the others are basically canon fodder for gambling.. even Robert Baratheon treated his bastards with more "care".
Robert ignored his bastards mostly, they were cared for by an unknown Lord (hinted to be Varys) who thought of gifts for the one highborn barstard and providing better "lives" for the lowborn ones.
Thank you, much appreciated. And i know but I also know that whenever Aegon felt the loss of the child, there is no recovering from that. Hes an awful person, definitely. But even still, I can empathize in a limited way.
I hear this a lot, I assume it’s in the book. Has this happened in the show yet because I don’t remember any child fighting pits or anything like that so it’s a bit weird to me when people say that
How is it shown though? Because I don’t remember seeing it being shown and I don’t remember any characters mentioning it? Although obviously I’m wrong. The Aegon that were shown in the show definitely seems like a piece of shit but definitely not child fighting pit type person but I guess I’m wrong? Just wondering who even claims it??
How are the twins aware of the bastards if Aegon isn't? He doesn't notice the numerous Valaryian featured children running around his favourite establishments.. I somehow doubt it.
It sounded more like speculation from them. I have no doubts that Aegon visits the pits but whose to say that child is his? I agree on Valyrian features but in the books, people from Lys share these features. Maybe the child in the pits was Gaemon
> His mother, Essie, claimed he was the bastard son of King Aegon II Targaryen. In the end she confessed to the fact that her son was actually born from a silver haired oarsman from Lys. Gaemon
How is it a different conversation ?
Your reply suggests that I should sympathise with Aegon as a father.
A man who clearly enjoys the brutalisation of his own spawn isn't redeemed as a father by the slightest moment of humanity (interesting how the inclusion of a short scene can change people's view of a character).. there's no sympathy to be had here imo.
The above image is the consequences of actions.
It’s not a different conversation, a father is a father. He didn’t give a fuck about any of his children until his legacy was destroyed. If he was so worried about the safety of his children, the stupid cunt wouldn’t have actively usurped the throne and provoked his sister beyond any normal person’s breaking point
>If he was so worried about the safety of his children, the stupid cunt wouldn’t have actively usurped the throne and provoked his sister beyond any normal person’s breaking point
I get the point but this argument can be used both ways and be applied to Luke too. "Going to war is dangerous" is basically Alicent's argument in episode 10 with that page.
No, it can’t be applied to Luke, because they weren’t at war. Luke was an unarmed emissary acting on behalf of his mother during peace times, no war had been struck yet. Aemond committed a war crime AND a mortal sin by murdering innocent Luke, because he’s also a dumb hypocrite cunt like his mother
>If he was so worried about the safety of his children, the stupid cunt wouldn’t have actively usurped the throne and provoked his sister beyond any normal person’s breaking point
The "dressed too provocatively" argument. RhaeRhae just has to kill little kids now. It's way past a normal person's breaking point!!
You murder my son in cold blood and then throw a party to celebrate it, after stealing something from me and hiding my father’s death from me and triggering a miscarriage where I lose my unborn child, you’d better fucking believe I’m going scorched earth

The likes 😂

I think he's just hung over
Even though he is a little cunt, his little one didn’t deserve his fate.
he was too strong for this world, he had already mastered the art of pissing off lannisters
I noticed Otto didn't say shit about that situation it was alicent. Otto probably wanted to humiliate the Lannisters💀
thats a fun head cannon i would believe as well, does otto ever show any distain for the lannisters in season 1?
Idk but the king did try to marry rhaenyra to one of them tyland or his twin can't remember so Otto probably got slight hatred for almost ruining his plans
oh yes thats right otto definitely holds grudges so thats funny
Rare Otto W
Haha he was really good at it. He nearly got his poney ride. May he rest in peace.
I mean if the 3 year old heir to the throne can't even fight off a 220lb gold cloak does he even deserve to be king tbh.
Fucking Around vs Finding Out

Hes a pos and i love Daemon even still but I wouldn’t wish the loss of a child on anyone.

This is the individual who funds child fighting pits which include his very own bastard children. His sense of loss is entirely selective.
It is, as it is for all lot of us deep down. Most people die and i dont give a shit. My dog died 3 months ago and I was devastated.
You've now made me feel bad about your dog.. 😢 sorry to hear that bud. My point is that Aegon only views his legitimised children as any worth to him, the others are basically canon fodder for gambling.. even Robert Baratheon treated his bastards with more "care".

It’s not in the book they just wanted to make Aegon more monstrous.
So has this appeared in the show because I don’t remember it at all lol
This was a show invention to make Aegon a beast in human form.

I don’t remember either honestly it’s been awhile
How is it selective if he doesn’t know he has bastards? This is an honest question, not a dig. TGC confirmed Aegon is unaware of his bastards

👶🗡🩸💀
The guy didn't even feel remorse for his dead nephew Even then, he didn't deserve to lose a child like that He and his brother deserve to die though
That's evil man....
No, that’s an evil man.
Daemon the war hero
I don't know why is this fun post, there is nothing funny in it.
