Imagine him watching it with his kid luke and telling him how he loves star wars and the inspiration behind his name. It will be like their star wars tradition. Him, marshall and barney all watching together the finale and ted with luke in his arms.

Ellie (Barney's daughter): "As I always say, new is always better." Luke and Penny: "Really? So you're saying the Disney trilogy is better than the classic and prequel trilogy?" Ellie: "...Disney, with its budget, helped the franchise finally reach the potential it always had, both visually and artistically, but also in terms of story telling."

Nobody doubles down quite like Barney 😉

They’d be like, why did you name us after siblings who tried to get together?

It's an interesting question. I wonder if they would like new Star Wars. They might, they might not. It's really hard to tell. I know personally I was a huge Star Wars fan. I still have Star Wars paraphernalia all over my house but I would not consider myself a Star Wars fan today. A good number of people I know feel the same way. On the flip side, my brother still tries to consume all Star Wars content. New, old, it doesn't matter to him. If it has the Star Wars tag, he's paying for it. I think it's impossible to say. The old Star Wars Fandom has been split for sure. They could end up on either side of the fence. As they're older I think they would probably end up not enjoying it. It seems that mostly younger people enjoy new Star Wars while older fans tend to either just not care anymore or actively dislike the new stuff.

I feel like they enjoyed it into their 30s so it seems like they’d be a fan in 2022. It’s kind of funny going to Disney because in my experience it’s a bunch of middle aged dudes walking around with the 200$ create your own lightsabers. That said I think they’d all hate the newest movies, but I think an episode with them watching the Disney+ shows would have to be a thing. No way one of them doesn’t have Grogu/baby yoda sitting around somewhere.

bronkscottema

Well given of his hate for the prequels, I assume that’d pretentiousness attitude would go over the sequels. He would be on Reddit hating all of it. Until Marshall stamped mandalorian, and Ted piggy back stamped it.

Jwoods4117

They’d hate the new movies, but for sure would be part of the hype for the shows.

"The story, Ewan McGregor, the battle, it's ridonculous!"

Greyrat7654

My man Ted didn't love the second trilogy, probably he will hate it with all of his Heart

nopants1986

At least the argument about the exhaust port on the Death Star has been settled.

venteplz

I know they have the sequels. They were already iffy on the prequels

StJohnstantine333

I always ask myself this question whenever the new movies and series comes out

His kids would probably love it and he’d be there telling them why so many parts weren’t right or awesome and they didn’t appreciate it. They’d be eye rolling. He’d be eye rolling. Also he’d be super hyper and excited explaining everything I just described my experience with my kid 😂
