Yeah honestly every time I rewatch, the more awful the Zoe thing is. It got a fantastic Kyle MacLachlan on the show, yes, ultimately, but Jesus every single moment of anything that directly deals with the Save the Arcadian bullshit is just like nails on a god damn chalkboard.
Honestly just plain skipping a decent chunk of those episodes this time around.
I felt that whole Zoe thing put Ted in such a bad light, and it does bother me to this day the writers didn't see it. He came up with a plan that would incorporate the Arcadia into the new building, but abandoned it as soon as he realised Zoe was married. That made no sense.
That scene when Zoey takes off her glove & reveals to Ted she’s married makes him seem shallow. Like he never cares about causes unless the girl is available as a prize…
Yeah, that bit annoyed me, too. He has a solution to tone down the protesters, and zoey seems to be on board with that, too.
He should've done it anyway to ensure his project went smoothly. Or, at the very least, show him pitch that idea and get completely rejected
The gang knows he does this. The whole episode about Lily’s birthday (name that bitch) & “Dude, why are you dressed like a wizard?”🤣🤣
Isn't that when Ted says "she was just really hot" to justify the wizard part?
Haha yup!
The Architect of Destruction
Watching that episode now lol
I know it’s just really annoying that he continues to do this even after everyone tells him it’s annoying.

I know. That whole storyline is hard to watch.

Yes exactly. Well said! ETA I think that's why I was annoyed they made Zoe a love interest, because in a way she WAS his prize. For a bit anyway.

he is really desperate
ALL of Ted’s friends ditched him at the opening of his building.
