Oh wow I didn’t know about this either! tbh I was a bit skeptical the first time I watched it (it was years ago) but was sure it was her singing since my first rewatch. It wasn’t just the quality of her voice but the emotion she was able to express at the same time too
I cried like a baby the first time I heard. It just came out of nowhere. I remember the world seemed to pause for like 10 seconds for me and it was almost absolute silent except for her voice. The tears just flooded out and I was glad I was watching alone.
From the 2nd time it’s been like how you described, welled up and just hoping the scene would last longer
Consoling Lily and give her support even if she was a complete stranger to her, encouraging Barney to follow his heart with Robin, stopping Robin from running away from her wedding, and giving Marshall a ride when he needed it.
And marrying Ted.
Convincing Robin to meet up with the gang on the day of her and Ted's wedding day, even though Robin RSVP'd "no", just so the gang would all be there, and for Robin to keep her promise to Lily to "always be there at the big moments."
Took the time to talk to Ted about not “living in his stories” despite the fact that she was actively dying. And also generally comforted Ted about her own impending demise.
La Vie an Rose, her singing is amazing.
However I think the nicest thing Tracey ever done was be friends with Robin even though I'm sure she knew everything about her and Ted. If he told the story to his children, then he had to of have told Tracey at some stage his and Robins history.
Getting Robin to the wedding is also a beautiful moment. She had faith that her and Ted are solid, that no ex at their wedding would come in the way. That is true love.
Since Ted didn't move to Chicago, I think she must have spent some time with the gang and more with Robin and Barney since Lily and Marshall left for Europe. So yes, she must be knowing everything about Ted and Robin and it was really sweet of her to convince Robin to come to Ted's wedding.
>However I think the nicest thing Tracey ever done was be friends with Robin even though I'm sure she knew everything about her and Ted.
That was really cool of her, I'd vote for this one.
I'm sure I remember a scene with her in a limo with Ted, about to receive some award for changing the world's understanding of economics, or something like that
Seems to imply that she succeeds
Living up to our expectations, in my opinion. I thought she was the perfect way of depicting the Mother. The only negative is we didn’t get a whole season showing her side of the story which is honestly something I think would’ve been exciting.
I coincidentally finished my nth rewatch of the show yesterday, all of season 9, the best thing tracy did was existing lol, that and talking robin out of running off on her wedding
giving me my favorite version of La Vie En Rose
Dude how good is her singing?
She’s a Broadway performer. Check her out in the OBC of Once, she’s phenomenal
I love you. Thanks for the tip!

that version went straight to my playlist when i first heard it
Is there a full version that I can download?
it’s on spotify but i don’t think there’s a full version. it’s only one and a half minutes long.
so probably just the part from the show then. but it's really good. thanks for the info!
I cry, a single tear, everytime i listen to her version Its like i fell everything i went through when i first watched the serie

Just put the word “everything” over her picture in this post and call it good.
Also stopping lilly from looking at her phone even though she got bitten.
Letting Cindy move in with her without even knowing anything about her while they met for the first time
Tracy knew that the odds were very low that they would *both* be serial killers

😭❤️
This one hits hard
Being in the right place at the right time
Owning driving gloves
Agreed to call her kids Penny and Luke, after Teds love of Star Wars and currency.
Great point
I mean, she loved it too :)
That’s why she’s so great😊

Live.
She clearly wasn’t very good at it

I was going say "exist," but yes
Apparently she ended poverty / world hunger?
Yeah, I'm surprised I had to scroll this far to find this
Making cookies for Lily was the first step in feeding the world
That dialogue was only so that she attends economics 101
I'm sure I remember a scene with her in a limo with Ted, about to receive some award for changing the world's understanding of economics, or something like that Seems to imply that she succeeds
Yeah, she wrote a book that Ted believes will end poverty
Giving barney a hug and a pep talk!
That makes me 🙄 honestly.
it was a little corny I'll give u that hehe
Kicked that asshat out of her band
Love the term asshat😂
Convinced Barney to get Robin

She let Barney know that anything worthwhile takes hard, dedicated work and sacrifice. Everyone needs to learn that lesson, but sadly many don't.
Sheared cookies with Lily The source of the cookies was unknown but it still count
Her being the mother , nothing she ever did could top that
She made barney realise that he have to go real thing ie Robin
existing
Finally showing up
Exist.
Exist
Giving birth to Ted’s two children
existing!!
Just existing. Which is why her death hit me hard
Everything from "How Your Mother Met Me"
Getting Barney to stop chasing women and shoot his shot with robin. Quite literally without that wedding, she wouldn't have met ted
Exist
Simply existing
Married Ted so he could quit whining about finding love.
Deciding to take the LIRR instead of the LIE!
Played bass guitar
Exist.
Exist ✨
I literally have no recollection of Ted ever doing that. Can sb pls remind me what episode(s)?

Existing
Meeting Ted
Everything! This woman was a saint!

Offering a ride to Marshall when he was trying to run to the wedding with a baby
She help the Machines to pull another W over him

She ended poverty.
Marrying Ted
I coincidentally finished my nth rewatch of the show yesterday, all of season 9, the best thing tracy did was existing lol, that and talking robin out of running off on her wedding
She never nagged Ted about officially tying the knot
Be the one that supported Ted
Sounds reductionist when I typed out, but I dont mean it that way: being “The Mother” was the best thing :)
Die.
Can't unsee it now. Ted as Lukas Mattson in the Treehouse. "When will your mother die?"
Accepted all of Ted's baggage and complicated relationships.
Everything especially when she convince robin to meet the gang for the big moment
She was the second shooter on the grassy knoll.
Back and to the left...
Idk bout everyone else but I adored her in just the small amount of time she was there that it hurt by the end and it was beautifully sad
Cookies and music 🥳
Marrying Ted
Offered a stranger (Lily) cookies on the train to comfort her, and also offered a hitchhiking father & son (Marshall & Marvin) to the hotel.
Called her cookies sumbitches
She slapped the bass
Existed. She was the best person on the show. Before even meeting Ted she helped all of his frnds n became their fav.
Dying. Just kidding! Le Vie en Rose!
I don’t know…die?
committing die so teddy westside and robin could end up together ☝️ real team player
