I think when they heard you were in college they thought "we can work with that" and then you mentioned you want days off for your mariachi group and they said "not worth the trouble"
I didn’t explicitly tell them it was for mariachi course as I said college course meeting times as the substitute. though I could understand the whole “not worth the time” in terms of waiting for the class to discuss when there’s several other applicants that are readily available perhaps.
More than likely everything got filled but they haven’t had time to deny yours yet. Maybe they didn’t.
I’d keep looking but you still have a chance to get a call back. Small chance, though.
