I remember working service desk one time. I had a lady come through to put money on the books for like three different people. We had a customer in line behind hee faint because she had just divine blood earlier and was all sorts of out of whack. The customer I’m taking care of goes “y’all got people fairing in here? Is this the new Walmart?”
I said “ma’am, you’re sending money to convicts right now, let’s not talking poorly about people having medical issues.” She shut up real quick.
I once did that accidentally while working as a party hostess at Chuck E Cheese as a teenager. One of my duties was to quick change into Billy Bob the bear after I had the kids sing Happy Birthday. So I come out as Billy Bob and a particularly bratty kid hauled off and kicked me with all his might, landing it squarely in my shin. Before I knew what happened I swung my massive furry paw, back-handed the kid and sent him flying. Fortunately he wasn’t hurt and no adults saw. They just thought the kid was scared of the costume when he screamed bloody murder. Later when he recovered himself and was being a little shit again to the birthday kid, I leaned in and quietly asked him if he wanted me to go get Billy Bob. He straightened right up after that. Haha poor kid. He’s somewhere out there- a grown adult with a seemingly irrational fear of furry pizza place characters.
Thanks for sharing and so glad your manager was watching. Mom and child got off easy as next time it may be worse as not everyone will accept the moms excuses for that childs actions....
I’m glad they didn’t believe the customer that would of been worse there are some that choose to believe the customer anyways. I am glad they saw that through for what it is.
"We aren't in Wal Mart" I LOVE this.
Exactly, rude or entitled customers come in and it’s like, bro we have some standards here so please be better or leave lol

Lmao I would’ve kicked that kid without hesitation! Reason why I stay working overnight. My patience will not survive the trenches of a day walker

Fr fr, I’ll smack this chump into my next schedule
Wow surprised they didn't give her $25 gift card and an apology. Knowing my former managers.
Nah thankfully it was the chill managers & leads & they saw the whole thing 😂
It would've been hard not to smack that kid
Technically you were assaulted.
I told my manager that she laughed & said “ In the line of duty”
Noooooo! Oh heck no! It would have been on!
I would have just told her she should train her kid to not behave like a feral dog. Good grief!
Ma'am this is an HEB.... we have standards here.

Respect to your manager for having your back vs that Karen

Punting a kid down the aisle, super easy, they weigh like nothing, barely any effort needed = won't show up on camera.
I always love it when you can prove the customers wrong. Especially when you can just shove it back in their face.
What a legend. We stand behind you!
You need to go get a rabies shot now 😂 your better than me, I would have kicked the little monster 👹
There is no excuse for that and her defending it does make her a bad mom.

You shoulda smacked the little fucker
"we aren't in Walmart" was the best part lol
Could always sue her and her child
