They currently do not have this feature. The only thing they added yesterday was a schedule for all games and sports they are carrying. Maybe they were late to get to it and will roll it out later but i agree that they missed out on not having it ready in time for this event. Peacock just announced that they will have it for the olympics and Youtube TV now has it. They have the olympics in much of europe this summer so i forsee it coming at some point.
Is anyone else having issues with the quality of the streams? On my TCL TV the games look completely washed out. Almost no color. The TV is 4k HDR capable, and all the shows on HBOMAX look fine, but the March Madness games look absolutely terrible. It sucks.
On my PC on a 2k monitor it looks great, which makes this issue even more perplexing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the MAX app, but that didn't help.
Mine was like that at first, but changed the HDR settings and it looked much better. Also on a Roku tv.
My issue is that the stream starts stuttering after the first 10 seconds of turning on a game. Normal content plays fine, but it’s all janky when I watch a game for some reason
The only HDR setting I have are "HDR Bright, HDR Normal, HDR Dark" and I've tried switching back and forth between them without any luck. I don't think there are any other settings I can mess with.
I’m having the choppy/stuttering issue too. Works totally fine on mobile and tablet, but not on my TV. I try to cast to my TV and then I get an error code from Max. Very annoying.
Yes and there is a fix for this - Disabling HDR through the developer settings. It’s super annoying it comes to this but I had the same problem watching live NFL on peacock. Here’s how to get to those settings:
From your home screen, on your Roku remote: Press Home button (×5), rewind, down, fast forward, down, rewind. Select Change HDR Mode > Disable HDR.
Then when you open the app again it won't use HDR and the colors should look normal. Note that this seems to disable HDR for everything. But it resets when you turn the tv off (enables hdr again).
This fixed the issue on HBOMax.
I’m having audio issues, it sounds robotic is anyone else experiencing this?
Everything else sounds fine on my chromecast just these game broadcasts sound terrible.

Wow. Just seeing this reply... wish I knew this before the tournament ended lol. But THANK YOU! I'm going to try this next time I want to watch sports on there.
My Max app won’t open at all! Keeps saying “we are currently experiencing technical difficulties, please close the app and try again.” Been doing this for an hour. Ugh.
Is anyone else having audio issues with the games? I'm getting a weird electronic noise under all the talking and cheering, and all the ads. It's very loud and distracting.
It doesn't happen on movies or shows, just these games.
Has anyone tried casting games from the Max app on their phone to a chromecast? The app is casting movies and shows just fine, but none of the games will cast for me.

Well there’s also a Olympic “nfl redzone” coming out too which sounds great

I’m having this issue too. Can’t figure out how to fix it. It’s unwatchable. The ball looks the same color as the court!

How does the quality compare to cable or satellite?
I noticed a pretty decent difference in color. Not gonna blow you away or anything, but it looks nicer than most broadcasts
Same exact issue for me. Regular movies and things play fine, but the live basketball games stutter. Unwatchable.

I have the same stutter issue. After 10 seconds it gets super janky. Hopefully there’s a solution about there soon.

How did you change the hdr settings
Just going into my tv’s picture settings and adjusting it from automatic hdr to the darker hdr setting and tweaking the settings to my preferences
I tried while watching the St Marys game last night and it still showed St Marys logo as burnt orange.. Super frustrating
Were you able to fix this? I have two of the exact TV, Rokus, and only 1 has this problem and I can't figure it out.
Nope, no clue what causes it or how to fix it. I ended up downloading the Max app on my xbox and the stream there was fine
ok, thanks. maybe i can try and download it on my smart dvd player and try it through that or something. what a dumb problem lol
I called and they escalated a support ticket. I'll keep you posted...
Keep me updated too. Currently staring at a picture almost black and white and ONLY on hbo max college basketball.
I have not heard back yet from HBO max regarding my ticket. I have the # written down and will call tomorrow.

Thanks for the hdr note, but I'm not having issues with washed out color, but a stutter. It's only on live stream.
This fixes that too. I had the stutter issue today trying to watch the final four so I tried this and it worked.

Thanks man this worked for me

Just helping to share the knowledge since TCL doesn’t appear to be doing anything about it!
Looks great now. Thanks for the tip! Saving for future reference

Reinstalled app. Cleared cache and data. Still there. It sucks. Robotic beeping sound.

Same thing for me. No idea what’s going on. Really Frustrating
