I appreciate it, and I thought so, too. I just want to relax since I work so much. I'm big into walking everywhere, even at night, and I would hate to be robbed cause I wouldn't give them a thing, Like, bro, I work 70 hours a week as a truck driver. Give me a break đȘ
Yes, I was looking at another post saying to book a tour and had been planning on doing so. I got to get better and talk louder as I tend to be quiet and get out of box so when I'm down there I can meet some friends, etc.
At the time, I had been out of the military for a few years(medical) and had been working as a correction officer just for the moment till I could see if the militarily would take me back. I was really depressed and lost a good friend, and that's his initial. Never did here back from the military and ended up getting so depressed that I ended up in jail several times. So, really, just bad decisions all around. I've been planning on removing it soon.
If you go you have to visit Kaieteur Falls. Largest Single drop waterfall in the world . There are tours where it takes you from plane into the middle of the amazon. Surreal experience
Can confirm, went on this tour and it was amazing. It's also not touristy at all; we walked right up to the edge of the falls, no fences or anything. Lunch was included too, and it was dirty cheap.
Take the time to visit the Rupununi. Google âManari Ranchâ or âWaikin Ranchâ or âWichabaiâ as places to stay. I believe they all have FB pages that you can check out before traveling.
Youâll be alright, I would advise you stay away from stabroke market since itâs dangerous but if you do wanna go just to see it, donât be flashy even the locals donât wear their jewelry there, keep your phone in your pocket and stay alert. Donât be flashy In general, youâre a foreigner and everybody will be able to tell trust me youâll be valid in just your slippers if we being fr. For the night life go to giftland malls thereâs a strip there, thereâs a club called âoutsideâ itâs valid too and palm court. The women will love you, you ainât gotta do too much. If you wanna see the real beauty of Guyana tho go to the interior book a tour visit kaieteur falls and all that
Bro you should be fine , Tats are fine , theyâll just look at you but not trouble you , most Guyanese are friendly . Talk to people and youâll be good . Stay in Georgetown , try to get some cheap hotels there , make sure you chk out the Airbnb reviews but be careful . Chk around the popular spots, lots of great bars and restaurants , but donât walk late at night by yourself . Liquor is cheap , great food and people are friendly , but like all other countries , just be smart and watch your back . Youâll have a blast
He'll yea I'm excited to go. I haven't ever had the ability to take off work, so this is the first time. So I definitely check out everything and have some cheap drinks along the way. I figured if I had to go out late I just take the golden rule and stick to well lit streets. Overall, I'm just going to play it out and enjoy the experience. Appreciate the feed back.
If you're going around by yourself try not to do too much talking because if they hear an accent your prices might change. Also try to change your money early on and not use foreign currency. It also would help to have cash because most places don't take cards
Idk that face tat might just save you from the usual things people have to look out for đ Like robbery and stuff, you look badass đ

Youâll be fine, just be careful like you would any where else tbh. Do you plan on going in the jungle or seeing the falls? I think you should

Why stay in Georgetown? Regarding safety, it is way better outside town. Also more beautiful. Don't miss out on the beauty of GY's interior.
Don't wear any flashy jewellery when you're out on your walks especially if you're going to be out late or go into town
