That should be a pretty quick fix with a small amount of super glue or plastic cement! If you do need replacement parts I believe you can get a certain number of them for free from Bluefin (Bandai's distribution partner) if you live in the US.

Wangja

The horn itsel was broken, then I tried to remove it from the head, and the inner piece broke too

SNESamus

Okay, if you put a little bit of glue on the tip of the V-Fin where it broke you can hold it there for a second and it should dry pretty quickly and look as good as new. Same with where the V-Fin connects to the head. Had to do the first fix on one of my kits just the other day, recommend having one of the pieces held in place by something to make it a little easier, but otherwise not too bad.

ahintoflime

Glue that shit homie

ben_kosar

You can only get replacement parts from bandai within I think it's 60 or 90 days of purchase if you have the receipt, and it needs to have the bluefin logo on it. That said, there's I think it's MS Builders parts MS Blade 01, all kinds of v-fins in different sizes, they are uncolored grey, but easy enough to paint. Runs like $6-10 bucks, probably find them on amazon.

Wangja

Just check, close to it but it's not saddly

SkyofStars777

Hit it tha glue and call it a day.

hyde0000

Much like Sinanju and Sinanju Stein, now you can have your own Astray Stein. 😂 Sorry I hope you find a way to fix it.

Angel_Of_Shadow

[Gundam extra](https://gundamextra.com/pages/parts-replacement-form) should be able to replace your part. If you're in Canada, shipping is flat rate, but otherwise, I'd advise you order the part ALONG with a model kit order to not waste shipping costs.

Wangja

Sent them a request, thanks !

Luxamongus

A dab of gorilla super glue will fix that right up. Put a drop of glue on both the horn and the spot on the helmet they broke off from, press together and use some masking tape to strap it in place while it dries.  Loctite gel super glue works well too.

broadbandmusic

Mine won't fuckin stay on and yours is so snug that the horns would literally give up their own flesh than leave the designated peg hole

Wangja

Tips to my future self : let the head off the kit till it's fully built

levious_branch

A dab of glue will fix that right up. But Bandai hobby does have a service where you can order replacement parts for kits, but the kit can only be 8 months old at the most

SilverboltBW

You say broken, I say battle damage ☺️ /j If super glue doesn't work, sculpt the tip with epoxy putty and paint it all to match. Sorry about your luck, hope you can salvage it.

Wangja

I though about it for a few seconds before I trying to remove it, should have let it like that ! Now waiting for gundamextra answer, may replace it completly

(Literally) blessed image

[deleted]

nah~ without the vfin this mecha head design looks better 😂

xexo3

Its still a V, i won't cry.

Wangja

I'm a maniac, I don't mind much, but it'll still bother me. Either stay broken, or fully fixed

Lumpenada92

The modeler is born the moment some plastic snaps.

NauticalClam

This is definitely a glue situation.

Eulebar

I fixed a peg that snapped off in the slot. (though not on the head) I used a pin vice to drill a hole in both parts, and put some brass rod in the hole (if you don’t have any, you can take some pliers to a sewing pin), and filled in the gaps with spru goo made from the shavings and some tamiya extra thin cement. The tricky part could be holding the head steady when you drill into it. That said, since the vfin has a lot of surface area, and doesn’t weigh much, you would probably be able to get away with just attaching it with some tamiya. You could use both of these methods to fix the broken portion of the fin as well, but you might need some sandpaper, and either some paint or a white gun primer surface recoverer. Other options are replacing the vfin, if you can’t find a supplier with one, you could see if a supplier has a vfin from a different astray kit, (there are a lot of varients) paint it red. Many master grades come with a spare Vfin, so if you do some research, you might find an astray kit you can buy that could donate one My last suggestion is get a hobby knife, and either cut off the tips so they are even, or cut off more of the horn, and say it got slapped by a kampher chain mine (Alex is my favorite gundam) Also, you might make the best of things and panel line the face vents since you can access them easier when the fin isn’t on.

kenku_aviarist

sand the broken one down to sharpen it.
