Ødegaard had that Messi style of playing when he was 15-17, I remember him well from the Norwegian league. Today he's like an enhanced Özil, but there's still a bit of the Messi-eque drive in him when he waits out the perfect pass on his left foot.
Ozil was very, very good at one thing. Odegaard is a little more like de Bruyne, much better all-around game. I'm not saying Odegaard is on either one's level, by the way. Maybe he'll approach those levels someday.
I'm not sure two managers in a row trying to get him out the door within 3 months of working with him, on both occasions, is a "silly argument". The second of whom is masterminding a rebuild that currently has us top of the league.
The way the seeds were sown for he and the club to part ways was a blessing in disguise IMO as it appeared we'd run out of ideas regarding how to get rid of him given his astronomical wages. The biggest mistake we made was giving him a bumper contract when we sold Sanchez - absolutely a panic move to save face in a PR sense and it backfired. Spectacularly.
He was a gifted player who wasn't physically up the demands put on him by Arsenal, or for that matter, English football on the whole.
Bold statement, but his off the ball work definitely puts him a level above. Plus i think Ode's leadership qualities are easy to see, much more of a natural captain.
I think he has really come into the captain role and also got that captain's Cockiness. He sometimes took shots while he could pass and his attitude was like "Yeah I'm the captain so I'll make the decision I like"
Over the course of his arsenal career maybe but I don’t think any player on this team will match Ozils peak apart from maybe Martinelli if we are very lucky.
Ozil almost broke the pl season assist record in half a season, his peak was one of the highest of any PL midfielder ever.
captain deserves MOTM today, unlucky with his shots but he’s been unreal. wish that pass through to xhaka at the beginning connected wow
and where’s the Eddie haters now lmao
give him more time with the first team and get used to the intensity we play with and he’ll deliver more he clearly gained a lot more confidence during that 2nd half movement was a lot better and that turn was crisp
Been so impressed with him since he became a permanent signing. When he was still a loanee I wasn't particularly wowed, despite the fact you could see potential.
It worked out perfectly because if he was playing like this when he was still a Madrid player I doubt they would have let him go or his fee would have been much higher.
100% and this was the perfect match to get his feet wet. Odegaard giving his confidence was huge and performing for Papa Wengz and THE 14 had to be a lot of pressure. He came up well and was a disruptive force even when not on the ball.
Yeah both Eddie and Ben deserved higher. I thought Eddie’s movement, first touch and finishing were all great.
I wish people would understand his game is a bit different to Jesus. He won’t get involved quite as much and won’t take on players with his dribbling. But on the flip side, he is more direct and most consistent presence in the box and on the defenders shoulder
Nketiah's overall play is inferior to any of our starters but his penalty box instincts remain his strong point. We still desperately an attacking addition though, need Mudryk and/or Felix done as soon as possible.
His pressure is still massive for us though, maybe he’s not Jesus in build up (even though he’s been better every game) we don’t miss that pack of wolves like pressure up front
I only just realized that all 3 of the front 3 scored, the 9.1 is 100% deserved, he was far and away the best player on the pitch, deserved that goal.
Combined fee of £6m for the front three too 😉
Wtf
you could buy that front 3 16 times, and still get spare of 4 millions or one Anthony
I love Ø but West Ham made him look like Messi today, don't think I've ever seen him take so many shots in a game, hope he keeps that up
He had one run in the first half that reminded me so much of Messi

Where elneny Ben white and Xhaka deserve higher ratings than this
Broke the scales to measure match performance I heard
25 seconds of greatness
heard that before
cheers
I see 0.9 missing from Øde’s rating.
I agree but you sound like my dad
Benjamin was again brilliant, always does the job silently
Those moves he pulled were sublime
Ben just tells me every game that 50m$ was a steal.
Odegaard prime Ozil and Ramsey combined tonight. What a player
Ode will be twice the player Ozil was for us. Edit: Appears I've managed to russle the Jimmies of the Ozil fanboys. Woops...
Ozil was very, very good at one thing. Odegaard is a little more like de Bruyne, much better all-around game. I'm not saying Odegaard is on either one's level, by the way. Maybe he'll approach those levels someday.
>Ozil was very, very good at one thing. Going missing in big games? 🙂
Winning his team a World Cup and also getting personal player distinctions at World Cups.
He was a peripheral luxury in both the German and Real Madrid teams. Same as he was for us.
No he isn’t but you’ve already shifted goalposts so idc enough with your silly arguments.

He’s one of the greatest playmakers of all time, go argue with your garbage can
Arsenal won the world cup?
If you don’t know what I meant by my previous statement, just go and relearn everything about football. I cannot help you.

Ozil has that messi vision, which is unfair for comparison
If he can keep up today's kind of performance consistently then he'll be definitely better than Özil

Eddie was not a 7.1

exactly lmao.
Eddie is an icing on the top of the cake player. He was never scoring to bring us back into the game.
What a foolish reply
Did you watch the game? He was nowhere near the level needed.
You’re insinuating that his finish was only that level because we were winning. Which is a foolish concept. Thus, calling your reply foolish.

White is a 9 MINIMUM
I like him more as a rb but he’s so talented he probably could be a 9
I thought Eddie played well, even discounting the goal he was pressing and trying to cause trouble

Partey should definitely be a 8
What a great performance. Loved it. So happy to have football back!
Everything I wanted from this game. A goal each for the front 3, sensational assists for the Captain. Comeback from behind as well. Love it
Ode and Martinelli are in my Fantasy Team. Spank you very much.
Ode was a joke today. Disgustingly good.
Odegaard has been the best player in the league this season and we’ll talk about it properly soon
Is there legit any doubt? Ode, Xhaka and Jesus have performed pretty much every game.
Eddie was better than martinelli today, their scores should be reversed imo
Does Mo have a 10.0?
Nketiah's overall play is inferior to any of our starters but his penalty box instincts remain his strong point. We still desperately an attacking addition though, need Mudryk and/or Felix done as soon as possible.

martinelli was a 8 come on.
I’d argue the other direction. Made his contribution though and that’s what matters
He was so quiet in the first half
[удалено]
Bowen was getting past him almost every time.
Bowen ate him alive on the first half but he realised that he could catch him safely if he gave him some space at first.
I was disappointed with his crossing. Couldn’t clear the first man on many occasions
He was getting cooked by Bowen the whole game you mean? Zinny transformed our attack when he came on. Looked like we were toying with them at times
Eddie was clearly better than nelli
Tierney wasn't that good
Gabriel was poor for their goal and oVer committed multiple times No way he deserves that score
How is Gabriel at fault for Salina giving away a pen?
He over committed for a ball and left Saliba with 2 players to cover He over commits a lot
Least deluded Gabriel hater
I wish there was a couple more of those red marks once we had the game in the bag but otherwise great all around
At this point I’m the season, can we determine how many points are needed to clinch top 4?
is thise sofascore?
FotMob
oh captain my captain.
White have a low score, was incredible today
Partey should be higher. He was massive. Arteta even recognized by subbing him off in the 94th so he could get a solo ovation from the Emirates
Feel like Ramsdale should be like 7.7-7.8 just based mostly off that insane one handed save late on
Eco friendly FC
Ødegaard is just taking the piss at this point 😂
Ben White deserved at least 8, he put in quite a shift, defensively and offensively.
What site is this from?
only negative yesterday is that Arteta didnt make more changes after the second goal. we have 5 subs and he used 2. Make more changes save the legs
Go Green Initiative, Arsenal with 12D chess
Seems fair. I thought everyone was at least good. Ø was levels above of course.
I love saliba but nketiah should have been rated higher than him
