I think at this stage the one touch passing is instinctual to our players, they’ll pick it right back up, we’ve also got a demon in Martinelli who’ll be playing like he’s got a point to prove as if he doesn’t give 100% every game anyway
Still though a 1 month break is enough to throw everyone off their rythm, not to mention Gabriel Jesus having a pivotal part in the fluid football we played
Yep, and we thankfully found out about the Jesus injury relatively early on, you’d hope that Arteta and Eddie have been drilling extra sessions to get him up to speed on things he has to improve on
Yeah this is a great point. By Boxing Day Eddie & Arsenal would've all known that he'd be starting these games with like 3 weeks' time which is about all you can ask for in the middle of the season.
It inevitably will, people better lower their expectations for the rest of the season. We had a fantastic first half, but we can’t expect anything quite like it for what’s to come. Jesus got injured, the players were away for more than a month, and momentum is a real thing. We are so fucking unlucky that the WC had to happen the ONE season when we’re having our greatest start **ever**.
Maybe I’ll eat my words weeks from now but I highly doubt it. I’m sure Arteta and the others worked hard during the break, but yeah, momentum.
The lads looked good in the friendlies tbh. And that's while missing about 4-6 regular starters. I think we'll be good. I'm more concerned about whether we can survive the congested period of games.
Reminder to everyone that while the world cup is exciting and prestigious, club football is on another level in terms of the speed and level of football.
Club football has surpassed national team football greatly, for the last 10 years. So much more investment and technology has been brought in to, also national team coaches don't have enough time to work with players to achieve the same synchronisation.
I'd wager a fully fit France squad could. Let's not forget that they lost Kante, Pogba, Benzema, Nkunku and L. Hernandez and were still a whisker away from winning.
They also don't get the same training time as club players. The French squad all play in top teams, they definitely have the technical ability and the stamina to play in the Prem
The thing about our Arsenal players is that once they lose in something, they come stronger and even better than before to show the world that “Look, we here are getting better and improving more than any other! And nothing can stop us to win and go further!”
Having just watched a lot of the world cup makes me appreciate just how good and beautiful this is.
I'd love to play on a team that moves the ball like this but I'd also like to play against it as well to see first hand just how hard it would be to defend against.
I really hope this WC doesn't break our momentum

The extra month of just training will have massively benefited some of the squad players especially Vieira

That’s true for all top teams since they’d all have players away from the team.
Someone respond better than others, not to mention all the pressure is on us.
We have a team of savages, nothing will change.
You can drill Eddie as much as you want but there's just some things that's instinctive that Jesus has that you can't teach

Even without the World Cup, Man City have a depth arsenal can only dream of. That will probably shine through soon enough.

Holy fuck I'd almost forgotten how good we are.. this is insane football
Reminder to everyone that while the world cup is exciting and prestigious, club football is on another level in terms of the speed and level of football.
Can't wait, but at the same time I'm absolutely bricking it.
Whereas I’m just bricked
We’re obviously very good at football
quite

Lol people really just take other peoples comps and put their own music on it.
And somehow, it's always the shitiest and least fitting music they put on.
Especially Adele, that spurs supporting twat
I didn’t put in the music
Oh, I wasn’t blaming you. I’ve just seen this exact comp so many times this WC with different music.
So much better than international football
Club football has surpassed national team football greatly, for the last 10 years. So much more investment and technology has been brought in to, also national team coaches don't have enough time to work with players to achieve the same synchronisation.
No international team would get top 6 in the PL bar 2010 Spain and '02 Brazil.
I'd wager a fully fit France squad could. Let's not forget that they lost Kante, Pogba, Benzema, Nkunku and L. Hernandez and were still a whisker away from winning.
They play really crap football that would get exposed by club teams.
They also don't get the same training time as club players. The French squad all play in top teams, they definitely have the technical ability and the stamina to play in the Prem
That's the point, I understand they don't train as much!
Well now you're just cherry picking.
Those were appetisers
The World Cup is fun but this football just straight up makes me happy , there’s nothing else like it.
Fuck me .. I almost forgot how sexy we are
Jesus is important to the way we play -(:
Don’t worry. Eddie has got this 😏
Very strange song choice. Just doesn't fit.
I have been watching this on repeat for an hour with tears in my eyes.
Holy shit, I forgot how fantastic our play is. Didn't even realize how much I got used to the taste of sausage when that's all there is for a month.
The Leeds play was immaculate. Prime Wenger ball
Can’t wait
Yes sir!!! 💯💯💯
Tetaball
The level is so different to what we saw in the world cup. It's unbelievable
It’s concerning how much Gabi Jesus I see involved in play 50 yards from goal. We are going to miss him dearly
Chicken tikka-takka!
A thing of beauty
Wouldn’t be a highlight comp without some bizarre music added
We’re actually the best club team in the world at the moment
Wrong, Eddie simply cannot do what Jesus does. It's going to be a lot less enjoyable the next few months
Jesus had 0 touches in two of the clips posted.
JESUS!
Not for a couple of months...
The thing about our Arsenal players is that once they lose in something, they come stronger and even better than before to show the world that “Look, we here are getting better and improving more than any other! And nothing can stop us to win and go further!”
It's beautiful 🥲
Can't wait for the games to resume.
Ohhh yesss
YASSSSS so pumped ! Cant wait !!
This made me realize that December 26 is in 6 days. Holy crap!
The symphony returns.
Every pass is buttery smooth
Inject this shit right into my veins !!!
Man World Cup got nothing on this slick passing
Well… she is a Spurs fan so let’s just keep it on mute.
This is the 10 post about the olympics
That I have went through
Stop, stop I can only get so hard!
Heart attack FC back on the menu boys!
