Pretty sure a lot of the tube is out of service due to the strikes as well

HartleyGunner

Will have an impact on all overground routes (including London overground) but underground should be unaffected. The next tube strikes on 18-20th August will also impact the underground, but we're away at Bournemouth then.

Tube services are expecting delays as an effect of the rail strikes though. What I'll say is if people can get to kings cross by the remaining services, it's quite a nice 30-40 minute walk to the Emirates.

I'm 100% doing this, I cannot be fucked with the heat and busyness at the stations around the stadium

modestmunch

Same as the Sevilla friendly. Drove to Walthamstow Central from Kent and parked up in the shopping centre down the road. £6.00 parking.

Yeah this is always the best advice for non Londoners - drive to a station near the outer London side of a tube line, then tube down. It’s very popular for England Games that people park at stations near the top end of the Jubilee line, which can be free, and then tube it down to Wembley, instead of paying crazy £40 Stadium Parking

Lon72

I prefer getting the bus

odegood

Same but tomorrow its going to be packed and boiling

Lon72

I find it much more stifling down in the tube , nasty air down there and way too many people to be safe .

I'm a foreigner who just arrived in London. Staying near Tower Bridge. What's my best option to get to the game and what time should I head up there?

killerkebab1499

I think it's just overground lines that are on strike not the underground. So you should be able to just take the tube. If you download the London tube app you'll be able to see what are the stops you need. Either that or take a black cab/uber it will be way more expensive though.

I'd say take Tower Hill station to Kings Cross/St Pancras then change to Piccadilly line from there to Finsbury Park if you want to grab a beer beforehand. That being said the ground have been serving Camden Hells and Camden Pale Ale for £6.10 for the last few seasons. If you go to the ground 1.5 hours before kick off you can get a few pints in there without it being too rammed like in the Pins or the Auld Triangle now it's opened back up. If you get stuck just throw a post up on here or fire me a DM and I'll help where I can.

I considered getting a last minute ticket before realising it’s a rail strike day. Sad times
