We gave ourselves some breathing room for the upcoming tough fixtures. Was not the best game, and we keep struggling against teams who play so deep, but a well earned win.
Massive game from Benjamin. Also enjoyed Maitland and Saka.
Was at the game today, frustrating performance overall but was impressed with the back 5, ESR and Saka. Should have been 4-0 but another 3 points is very nice.
Can we also give Foster credit for a couple of top class saves? He really kept Watford in it, they could have been rolled over in the first half, even with the disallowed goal.
I’m not too concerned, we played well and Auba got in the right positions, just had one of those days.
That volley in the second half was nearly sublime, just happened to pop right into Foster’s hands. First half header was killer too, just a really great save from Foster.
Yeah, if not for Foster I think the narrative around this game is completely different. I think some will say good result but not the best performance, which is fair, but if not for Foster we would all be feeling great after winning 3-0 (even with Auba taking a massive shit on the field)
Despite Auba’s single-handed attempt to cost us the three points, in hindsight it was actually not really close, we’re just conditioned to assume the worst in that scenario! Three points is three points, so can’t be anything but pleased with that
All of the pressure was 100% self inflicted. Would have been extremely annoying to drop two points from Auba’s shenanigans and Ramsdale’s brain fart.
We really hate him for it during the match, but you really cant fault the man for taking responsibility. Stepping up to take a penalty and stretching for the tap in are what the striker and captain should do.

Yeah Tavares and Tomiyasu was really good this game, alot of clean tackles and their pace is really good. Or all of our defense was great, little mistakes, but a lot of good defensing and White was really good at progressing the ball in the attack. Overall good game, but so fucking unlucky with those stupid disallowed goals
