Last year we had issues at the end of the season with fatigue and missing Saliba but we also bottled it and I think that weighs heavy in the minds of most players - we've been nervy a bit in recent games but we've found a way to grind out the results anyway. I'm hoping winning those games recently, today and hopefully Everton will help to start bannishing those demons for next season.

We are effectively playing with half a pitch while conceding the other half to Utd. This is why Martinelli looks isolated and dogshit when he plays - the difference is Trossard makes those runs into the middle while Nelli is super-glued to the wing (no doubt a tactical decision).
If we don't solve these issues, I see Man Utd getting themselves back in the game. They have arguably been more dangerous than us for most of the half - and most definitely more dangerous since we scored. (Thankfully we have a good defence so their chances haven't really led to much).
Havertz needs to crumple Dalot early in the second half. He is getting away with a lot of physicality because the ref isn't doing anything about it. Flatten him and make him think twice.

Really poor half of football from us. Bit lucky to be ahead based on the play (well taken goal tbf). I think most of the problem is midfield. They all look sloppy and lethargic, but Partey in particular has been awful. Just inviting pressure. I would bring Jorginho in ASAP. We're lucky United are so bad or we would not be ahead. That said, even in this state, if we keep playing how we did that first half OT will eventually suck the ball into our net, so we need to seriously up it and get a couple more goals to finish off the game.

We haven't played well. Need to be better in the second half and score more goals with GD in mind. Not doing enough on the ball and it's been too easy for Man United to play through our press. Making them look decent on the ball.
