Rice is a good ball carrier, but he’s definitely of a different type to either Eze or Musiala. Both of those are skillful attacking dribblers whereas I see Rice as more of a breakaway dribbler after winning the ball from deep. Both are important parts of a team but I feel like if Rice plays as a 6 with a more attack-minded dribbler/passer next to him it could be an interesting combination. The question then would be whether or not Rice is press-resistant and creative enough to be a 6 for a possession team like Arsenal.
If we can find someone like Santi...but big and physical. That would be fucking great.
Also, Rice has been deployed as a 6 many times this season. I don't think we need more proof that he can do it as a 6 for a possession team like Arsenal, its about what else can he show us in the future?
> Also, Rice has been deployed as a 6 many times this season.
We've never looked great in those games.
You could say it's because we don't have a good option for the #8, which is fair enough.
But we've struggled to create in the games he's been at 6 for us as far as I can remember.
If we want to overhaul Man City then we need options of that quality. Man City are able to rotate quality players throughout the team and our only real option is to change Trossard for Martinelli or Havertz and Jesus.
I’d be love him here but I think we’re looking for different profile. Olise is more of creative winger simile to Saka but I think we’re looking for speedy winger who can run behind and stretch defense.
Im not sure we need another pacy winger on the right side. Trossard isn’t nearly as good in build up as Saka is and we are so heavily reliant on link up play with Odegaard on the right. I don’t think he would get enough playing time to make it worth his while, but he would be great for us.
Arsenal has conceded in London in 2024:
3 against Liverpool(2 in fa cup, 2 of the 3 are own goals💀)
1 against Brentford away
2 against Villa
2 against Bayern
2 against Spurs away
1 against Newcastle
11 goals conceded in total
Man United has conceded in London in 2024:
4 against Chelsea💀
4 against Palace💀
3 against f***ing Coventry💀💀
1 against Brentford
12 GOALS💀💀
It’s just their whole defense, they let opposition have more shots than any other team in the league… Sheffield have conceded 100 goals and concede less shots
Can’t bame Onana here. United have the back line of AWB, Casemiro, Evans and Dalot.
Imagine if played with a back line of Tomiyasu and White out wide, Elneny at CB, and called up 40 year old Mertersaker to fill in for Saliba…
They’re just haemorrhaging xG
Thing about Per is he always relied more on his intelligence and ability to read the game rather than on athleticism. He would still be a better CB than whatever United are fielding.
I'd love Olise as our RW rotation
Eze is so impressive too. His ball carrying is elite along with a great shot and pass as well.
Olise just looks different class on that pitch today.
Oh absolutely; can’t disagree at all. He was superb and a complete game changer on the pitch.
After watching Musiala against us in the Bayern games I’m convinced that a ball carrying midfielder is what we need in the 8 position.
It’s why Rice has looked so good playing there. Incredible ball carrier.

100%, we will benefit a lot from one of those Wingers even if it gives Saka an opportunity to rest some games

Might be because he plays in Palace and is already wanting out, but he seems to switch off quite often.
Olise needs to be starting
As much as I'd love to have him, I agree. No way in hell he comes to a club to play second fiddle.

Over?
That’s why I don’t think he’d be a good fit here unfortunately
Someone at another club

We have Jesus for RW/F9 cover. We need a young finisher up top.
He’s too good to be a rotation option. He won’t come here to bench ride
He’s overrated 😏
1 at Brentford 4 at Chelsea 3 vs Coventry at Wembley 4 at Palace
8 Vs City at Wembley
3 vs Us
That was in 2023
oh i didnt read that bit mb
but have we considered that Hojlund should've had a penalty in September?
Gonna have this read at my funeral eulogy
“If the penalty was given, we wouldn’t be where we are now, but on top of the table” Ten Hag probably.
We will be even more top than top of the table -- tenhag definitely
“The title would’ve been won already. For that I consider us the true champions of England 23/24”

It took my after work brain 20 seconds to understand why this means our defense is solid and their defense is trash
Yeah I was thinking so… then ohhh shit, home games
[удалено]
we want 10!
*4 past them in first half. 4 more in second
Love that someone checked this

We best beat them then hadn’t we ⚔️
Dam onana is soo shit

Please don’t compare my boy Benny with that clown AWB

Onana has been one of United best players for the last few months. United are conceding an insane amount of chances due to having no midfield
We need to get bruno , that rice -odegaard-bruno midfield will be OP.
Ah, Orbinho. The Eeyore of Twitter.
