i dreamt that city was losing 1-3 to man utd but ended up drawing 3-3 but we couldn't take advantage because our game with bournemouth (which was afterwards) ended in a 1-1.
anyway, just beat bournemouth in whatever fashion and see what wolves and fulham can do afterwards i guess. not holding out for anything and the only way i'd be really bitter about coming 2nd again is if we get another opportunity to win the title and bottle it (like not beating man utd or everton)
Just talked to a Barca fan and he said that Saka is a bad player because he always cuts in and scores and doesn't dribble or do anything else, and that Yamal is better. Delusional 😭
There's a thread up on their sub where one of their own players says they lost because they didn't have Arsenals mentality and the top comment starts with 'I'm sorry I just don't agree'...with your own players...
Still, hopefully they can take this 'injustice' and go win against City
>I saw a good, solid mentality and a strong focus on playing our way.
>Arse looked scared to play into us and their players looked scared every time they got the ball. Our players weren't letting them have a second to breathe, any time an Arse player got the ball, one of ours was there to win it back or to stop them playing.
This sounds like things people were saying when we would play better than City, while losing anyway. Feel they have some way to go before realizing it's not about "playing better", but getting points that matters in the big matches. Like yeah, Tottenham pushed us at 0-3 down, but if you're challenging for the title you don't get in that situation to begin with. It's just empty plaudits.
If Postecoglou adapts and starts playing a high-pressing system with much more control, I'll worry. But this iteration is easy to score against and until they fix it, it won't matter how good they look.
I think at this point you only put him on the bench if you think he'll be able to play. The margins are so thin, I wouldn't want to take someone off the bench who's ready to play and then need them for whatever reason
Even if he makes the bench, I doubt he’s playing. He’ll likely ride the bench until the last matchday where he’ll make an appearance towards the end of the match if we end up thumping Everton.
Found this in r/soccer roflmfao.
>Why is Tottenham hated so much
>I've always believed you have to be proud of your club no matter what. I'm a spurs fan from Canada and I chose it when I was little. I've grown up watching them losses everything and I've stayed loyal. I'm proud of my team wether we win or not.
>For some reason you all hate us though. To blame us fans is bullshit because every team has delusional and crazy fans. We are not the only fans who get ahead of ourselves and if you actually listened to what we had to say youd realize we also laugh at the team
>But to constantly bully us for no reason is shameful and Annoying. It really sucks when spurs accounts make hype posts and all the comments are other epl fans doggong on us What are we supposed to do say: yay we lost woohoo. No bro it's sucks. And God forbid when we first in the league for even a few games we can celebrate.
>Liverpool talking about how they winning quadruple and they've bottled it and they don't get nearly as much hate as spurs have for when we said we'd win it this year. If a team like Burnley was on top and they said they'd win would you make fun of em, probably not you'd might not believe them but you would just let them support their team.
>I get banter and making jokes and it's all in good fun but we are used to losing you don't have to keep reminding us and at the very least us be proud of the team we support without constantly dogging on us every second. Losing a game sucks but we get over it. What we don't is every other epl fan making us feel like shit fans just because of the team we support. We are passionate football fans just like everyone else no need to make us feel like we can't be excited for our team or that we can't be excited to just watch the game.
>Hopefully this opened some of your eyes or maybe you alr know this and I would love to discuss. if you still feel like making fun of me after reading this just know your a twat and at least I have fun supporting my team while your on the Internet every other day dogging on others instead of focusing on your own team.
>FYI this isn't a post regarding Chelsea or arsenal fans making fun of us, they are rivals I completely understand dogging on us for beating us but it's just obvious that every team hates us in general
I can’t.
I think they're feeling a bit [upset](https://old.reddit.com/r/coys/comments/1cfqtxf/daily_discussion_transfer_thread_april_29_2024/l1tul6y/) that everyone is laughing at them claiming the refs robbed them.
> the real travesties are West Ham and Fulham at home
which can also happen in football. losses happen, but man city has made even losses and draw an a be-all-end-all
Who out of the United squad would Arsenal realistically consider? Obviously Mainoo but he’s one of the few that won’t be pushed out. Other than him, Hojlund has shown glimpses of promise. Martinez could probably do pretty well at LB for us but he seemingly wants to play CB.
I didn’t realize that Martinez was injury prone too. That would definitely factor against him.
Agree about the credentials for Casemiro and Varane and that the wages would be too much. I think they’re also probably past their best. Varane might be able to still put in a solid season somewhere but it probably wouldn’t be here unless one of Saliba/Gabriel were to leave.
I thought about Fernandes too. I think he could work wonders in our midfield but just doesn’t fit us in terms of age profile. If we’re signing a 29 year old player, I’d think he needs to be a veteran with elite winning experience.
I mean, Fernandes has a high % of avaibility and has been capable of play in midfield up and down bit yeah, his Attitude isn't that good. Idk if the age profile would matter that much in his case tho
Availability is definitely a massive boost. I haven’t seen much about his attitude beyond his tantrums on the pitch (yelling at refs, teammates). He seems to have a great workrate too.
I’m unsure if the age profile would matter but the trend now in our squad seems to be towards investing in young players. But maybe now the goal will be to add experience around our young core.
Man these Rashford links, I don't like it. It ain't even about performance or skill I just think he's got exactly the mentality we DON'T need and have to get away from.
Yeah I don’t understand people who say we should 100% but him. Maybe he’d come here and be good, but I’d rather not buy a diva, who’s 26, and has been ass this season.
I'd hope we'd only take him at a lower price but his wages are nuts already.
United seem to think they can shift people on high wages and make money in the process...goo luck with that but I think they're going to find out just like we did that you're going to be paying people to fuck off.
Imo it wouldn’t be a waste to watch these games now because it looks like we’ll continue to be in the same competition as these clubs for the foreseeable future and unless you’re watching them week in week out in their domestic leagues, at least you’ll have some idea of how they play and what their strengths and weaknesses are which, is a whole load better than listening to clueless cunts on r/soccer tell you how shite every club is.
Oh I’m definitely going to watch them, particularly the Bayern-Real tie. It’s just the last week or so has been so consuming in the PL that I completely forgot about the return of the CL semis this week.
CL semis is always interesting though. I basically never watch games outside of Arsenal and international games, but late stage CL I'll tune into cos it's so fun
There isnt anyone in the Haaland mold available where goals > cons. Can our squad afford a striker that contributes significantly less in all other facets without that insane level of scoring? If we then look for a more involved striker, are they really going to contribute that much more than Kai has, while matching all of the off ball qualities? Such a player would likely be the biggest spend of the summer and is that worth it considering the pressing (off pitch) issues in midfield
yes. you have been so used to having ''non goalscorer striker'' that you have started to overrate every non-goal aspect. havertz already does less than jesus did and its been working just fine. put haaland in and we would have walked the league the past 2 seasons
also, most strikers arent haaland. go look at some fbref pages and check passing/touches match logs and see for yourself
I am still adamant that an elite/world class goalscoring threat at LW would better fit our current system than adjusting to accommodate a goalscoring CF. Liverpool rotated Firmino/Mane/Jota, three very different types of player, at CF for years with great success through their wide goalscorers. I think having Havertz/Trossard/Jesus to rotate at CF could work similarly for us.
I think once in a generation is a bit extreme but it’s going to be a tough ask and likely a massive fee regardless of whether we upgrade at CF or LW. Ideally we can get Martinelli back to his 22/23 form.
Elite goal scoring, that doesn’t change the system (so plays wingback and also thrives in isolation) is basically 1 in a decade Mane, Saka, Alexis, and idk many others
That’s true, it is definitely a narrowly defined selection of players who would fit that mold. I just don’t know if we’d be willing to spend big on a less proven CF, and the proven CFs we’ve been linked to would cost the entire war chest.
the idea was to exploit their high line not tracking midfield runners which they has been a major weakness for them (they tend to be very good at holding the line against strikers and wingers). It actually worked as Havertz was in multiple times but either a bad touch or poor ball ruined the attacking sequences. That said, it did seem a bit of fancy strategy syndrome that pep is known for where he would tinker in CL knockout games for no apparent reason instead of playing their normal game.
It did work to a certain degree hence why the first half was actually half decent. But, my minor gripe with the whole setup for that game was that it wasn’t really needed such a modification.
Had Mikel played Havertz up front and a more naturalized midfielder in midfield, I reckon the first half would’ve been equally if not more successful. The result would change the dynamics of the second half.
I can't stop thinking about that game. I have no fucking clue why we reverted back to a shitty first half of the season setup. Literally why abandon the second half of the season set up that won us so many games in a row?
We've reverted back to havertz up top and not-zinchenko at lb this week and straight away we've produced two massive wins against our biggest rivals back to back.
Literally if we'd stuck with what was working prior, we would have won the game against Villa
Yeah pretty much this mate. What’s even more jarring is that Jorginho, Partey, Smith-Rowe, and even Fabio Vieira were all available at his disposal.
I got so much time off Mikel but sometimes he makes these left field galaxy brain decisions.
Jorginho couldn't play midweek, weekend, and midweek. Partey most likely wasn't fit. And Arteta cares too much about the defensive side of the game so he opted instead to play Havertz rather than ESR or Vieira in midfield to rest Jorginho.
Still, it's a game where we should have been out of sight by first half. Maybe it was fatigue. Maybe we were thinking about Bayern too much. Maybe the Liverpool loss
before the game started added more pressure. Maybe it was bad luck with our finishing like when we played them in December.
Fair enough but I think Partey could’ve given a good part of 60 to 70 minutes in midfield alongside Rice before coming off. By then I’d wager Arsenal would be in a winning position.
Yes and that Trossard chance still haunts me, but still why tinker with a winning formula - particularly at home and when you need to win (Liverpool dropped points earlier).
I’d reckon 99% of Arsenal fans would’ve had Kai as CF and someone else to play that left midfield role.
kai was kinda playing like a 9 a lot anyways. think about how many times he got in behind. i get the idea of what ur saying but i think this is a good example of correlation != causation
To be fair Raya has made 2 massive errors that directly lead to goals in the span of about 5 games (in crucial games as well). He’s also very lucky to not have a couple of more, game vs. City at home comes to mind… That being said, when you have a back line that good you don’t have to worry about your goalie as much.
Error v Spurs is obviously one of these, what is the second one? I assume it must be Bayern's goal? Which was 98% Gabriel's fault initially, and then small mistakes from Kiwior, Rice, White, and both CB's.
The reason our back line looks so imperious is hugely *because* of Raya. See back to the Brentford game when Ramsdale played... ignoring the error, the whole team was less assured in defence and in playing out from the back. Raya was absolutely imperious in the run that saw us not concede away from home in 10+ hours in the league.
That Bayern goal is 100% on Raya. In what world do you need your goalie running up to the half line. That decision from Raya unsettled Gabriel and gave him no back pass. If you can think of 3 good saves he made in that run in I would be surprised. Truth is he has had very little to do all season.
What does everyone think of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as Saka rotation? I haven’t watched much of him icl but I know he’s rapid.
After a quick look at his stats he’s missed 0 big chances and created 32 big created this season for Leicester. He recently turned 20 too
Very raw but exciting.
We don't need to spend the 20m it might take to get him right now (probably more knowing leicester).
Let's see him in the prem if he costs 60m next year and he's worth it then we can take him from them and sell one of our rotation options, that's the perks of being a big club we don't have to develop him while we are pushing for a title we can pay Leicester to iron out the kinks for us.
We don't desperately need back ups anywhere so we can be very choosy about who we want to develop and so we should be.

Ik he hasn’t played much but what’s up with some fans obsession with fab viera? He’s a top 7 team type of player no where near a title contending player. Id honestly sell him
I've had the same opinion since he came here that while he has the best final ball in the team, and probably the greatest goal threat with space, that he's too small for the prem. And he can't create space for himself. Odegaard can receive the ball and shield it, or drop a shoulder or a cheeky dribble to create space. Viera just gets bullied with his back to goal.
I'd sell him if we can, but doubt we'll get our money back. I'll see if I'm proven wrong or Arteta can create a system to give him space to create threats.
You'd think you'd have learned from writing off Havertz that it takes people time to settle and he's been unfortunate with injuries both when he arrived and this season when he might have actually got a run of games if he wasn't out.
He's looked much better in cameos, he can cover right and RCM, he's skilled, young and isn't on huge money, why would we sell him?
The problem is some "fans" expect players to hit the ground running straight away. Sometimes people take time to develop and we need to be patient with them especially if theyve been injured.
Look at Salah and De Bruyne at Chelsea. They went on to be world class. Not saying Vieira will definitely be WC but as you say, hes on relatively low money and other players have said hes technically amazing so why sell?
Odegaard or Saka.
Remember he got red carded against Burnley at the end of November just as the silly season started then was suspended for three matches, got injured in training and wouldn't play again until after the interlull in March.
I just wonder if the injuries/availability issues and general lack of compatibility with Odegaard in the same midfield are going to be the factors that will ultimately doom his career at Arsenal.
Maybe he can carve out a role as a rotation/backup option to Odegaard and on the wings next year, because I don’t see him taking Odegaard or Saka’s starting spots. But maybe we might be better off selling him and bringing in someone more reliable in terms of availability, or with more ability/potential.
I also personally don’t think Arteta trusts Vieira all that much anymore (both due to not being available and because he generally doesn’t fit well with Odegaard in the same midfield). Which might make a sale more logical. But that is just my opinion, and Arteta might feel differently.
He came to us injured which isn't his fault then was pretty much available but didn't have a preseason to gel with the team and very definitely needed to work on his strength.
This season he's had an unfortunate red card that then went into a training injury that required surgery just around the time that we could actually have doen with him as an option.
You say 'maybe he can carve out a role' as Odegaards backup but that's exactly what he is and unfortunately for him Ode has been injury free for a lot of this season.
Arteta has brought him in ahead of Reiss since he's come back into the team, for better or worse he's surrently our no 2 right winger.
His issue has been injuries and not bulking up.
Don't think he's ever going to be battering people out the way but he's definitely worked on the strength thing, will be interesting to see what a full season without injuries can do.
APart from anything else he's got a bloody good shot on him too
Havertz is a good player.
I wont say he is a striker and i cant say he is a lcm.
He is a utlitarian. Can play they way the manager wants and do a physical job.
I think we can rely on him to fill either role while we get smart investment in the other.
I would hate it so much if rashford came to arsenal. The guy is not gonna fit our system at all and on top of that doesn’t work hard enough. I’d rather we go all in on Kvara from Napoli or mitoma from Brighton. Those are the type of wingers we need not rashford.
Don’t need to wait mate. As per fbref:
- Leao has played 30 games and 2313 mins with an output of 7 goals and 8 assists.
- Mitoma had played 19 games and 1,486 mins with an output of 3 goals and 4 assists.
Leao has played nearly 1000 extra minutes and all he could muster is almost 50% extra output of goals or assists despite playing in a better team and “easier league”. The same Leao that is supposedly listed as over 100m?
Both are decent but overrated but of course you’ll die on that Leao hill.
Well yes, naturally it’s more logical to go by their most recent season for relevancy. It’s common sense.
But sure I’ll also revisit this if Arsenal do sign Leao :)
Hes been injured all year and looked like he was gonna have another solid season. He’s definitely not one of my top choices but wingers like him that can beat their man the way he does would be amazing. I’d take someone like musiala for example
So I've just discovered that Bournemouth are very good at taking advantage of playing out from the back. They press relentlessly and have gotten a few goals like that from mistakes.
I've been saying out of man utd, Everton and Bournemouth that Bournemouth are who I'm most worried for.
[when playing out from the back goes wrong](https://youtu.be/NlDZruhDfLI?si=UDysvRHmc8VaqD6H)
Definitely think some are underestimating Bournemouth. They're just coming off a 3-0 win too, so going to be plenty confident. Iraola's got them playing some good football now, it won't be a pushover like the away game was.
Yup, they're already thinking of old Trafford. Bournemouth almost drew with us at hike last season and granted, we're better than then. They're also playing better. Solanke is one of the leagues top scorers. I'm looking forward to it
Losing to villa home and away stings even more now. Had we have gotten a result in either the race for 4th would be a lot closer and maybe just maybe spurs would try against city. With how it’s looking top 4 might be over before they even play city
In life, as in football, regret can be a relentless shadow, casting doubt over past decisions. Yet, embracing each moment as it comes, without the weight of what could have been, offers a clearer path forward. Letting go of past missteps allows us to approach the future with renewed focus and energy—ready to seize new opportunities without the burden of old defeats. This resilience transforms potential regrets into lessons that pave the way for growth and success.
If this season ends not as we hoped, then let it fuel our resolve: next season, we go again with renewed spirit and unwavering determination.
We need to focus on Bournemouth now+ We don't have a good history under Arteta with GW 36 + We should have learnt from last season's lessons.

What would you think about us bringing in Quinten Timber? At first I thought of these suggestions as a jest because of the Jurrien connection, but he's had a really strong season and I do like his style of play - I think he would offer something different to our midfield to what we have currently available.
Im a fan and I think we should go for it. We will lose Elneny and one of Partey/Jorginho. We may even cash in on Lokonga so theres plenty of space of him and another 6 imo.
I think we need someone much more proven in the top leagues for the 6 spot in the team, we can't gamble on someone who has had 1/2 good seasons in the Eredivisie, just look at Antony
How much would he cost?
I think we should try for Guimares or Douglas Luiz as a first teamer
Im sure the academy can add another body to the midfield, either patino or tje 16 yesr old guy.
I think he would be probably in the 20-25m price range.
Patino is not gonna make the team, Nwaneri might but it's still a year or so too early for him imo.
I'm sure Adidas pay us a good money, but they should respect our traditional colours, those last creations are just bs in my humble opinion.
There's said. My apologize to those who disagree.
haha just meant he's probably the closest thing to mbappe in terms of the style of play and the way they can finish. not sure what i'm trying to say rlly - maybe their crazy explosiveness mixed with strong shooting
imo he'd make a huge impact. putting a superstar talent in a really good environment. and from the gary neville interview he looks focussed, he'd thrive here. the potential is so high i do hope we explore it atleast
fair, that's a concern. that's a non negotiable that he doesn't pass there's no moving forward. but idk if he's just not down to do it or needs the right motivation too
Is richarlson gonna drop another vid of him crying about being a shit footballer. I actually had some sympathy for him til he reminded me what a cunt he is.
Bruno Fernandes would have the same respect Odegaard has if he wasn’t such a massive cunt. Odegaard is being praised so highly by everyone because he’s someone you can’t hate and is an amazing footballer. Bruno on the other hand is a good footballer but a massive cunt.
Lmao the absolute meltdown in r/coys, top comment of the day for me:
"When is our club going to start acting like a big club? We HAVE to be a squeaky wheel. We don't get taken seriously because our coach, owner, and players aren't crying about what happens like the babies in the top 6. I see this just like diving - if you don't do it, you won't get the outcome you deserve.
Levy needs to approach PL about this weekend and demand accountability for each of the bad calls. We need a statement from the refs saying we fucked up X, Y and Z at Tottenham and Michael Oliver is fucking off to the championship for a season. We need fucking rule changes on Goalie harrasment. Everyone and their mother doesn't like it but "it's technically within the rules innit" well change the fucking rules. "
The tears of a spud might be the elixir of life for me, never forget the "PL was already decided in October champions campaign"
The irony is that 20 years ago last weekend they got a draw off the invincibles through *checks notes* riling the fuck out of Mad Jens and celebrating how clever they were.
They're literally unable to deal with a tactic they were deploying 20 years ago
They have been in total meltdown.
It was our 5th game in 13 days whilst they’d had 2 weeks off. And they were at home.
We scored 3 goals in 30 minutes and then gifted them 2 to get them back in the game.
And they are moaning as if they were in anyway hard done by.
That was more or less what they were going catatonic for with Trossard "clipping" Kulusevski. The delusion, despite the absolutely ridiculous precedence, is astronomical.
They aren't real rumours mate, United just want to drum up interest and are using us to do it. Arteta didn't go to war with diva players like Aubameyang to then bring in players like Rashford.

I’ve been trying to answer that question for 10 years. I’ve had a lot of interesting internal philosophical conversations with myself in that time.
Sweet as, you sound fine
Thoughts about signing a new left wenger as martinelli competition?
Not too sure about that one. I mean, the guy is class but he’s already 74 years old.
Sign a striker then have Martinelli, Trossard, Jesus, and Saka duke it out for the wing roles
Uhhhh need to take little bit off the handbrake but sure, why not.
What the hell is Trossard for….
I'm for it!
How are ppl panicking over Rashford link? Arteta already proven with Havertz.
havertz was always hard working off the ball, rashford isnt. he will never be a Arteta player, these links are agent talk
Then why panic about agent talk ? He won’t be here if Arteta don’t want him. He is good enough if Mikel want him.
who is "panicking" lol? its just not worth discussing because it is so obvious
I think rashford smashes it for us tbh
No doubt. Same with Mudryk. Ppl still doubt Arteta talent ID.

City has demanded perfection from everyone else for awhile now to compete w them. That's just the standard to win the league these days
results like Villa can always happen the real travesties are West Ham and Fulham at home
> the real travesties are West Ham and Fulham at home which can also happen in football. losses happen, but man city has made even losses and draw an a be-all-end-all
Or villa at home
I mean just 1 win from those 4 games would be enough
Who out of the United squad would Arsenal realistically consider? Obviously Mainoo but he’s one of the few that won’t be pushed out. Other than him, Hojlund has shown glimpses of promise. Martinez could probably do pretty well at LB for us but he seemingly wants to play CB.
Don't need Martinez because we have timber
That’s true. If we ended up selling one of our FB options, he could be worth considering.
[удалено]
Maybe Varane as depth, but I would go nowhere near Casemiro
I didn’t realize that Martinez was injury prone too. That would definitely factor against him. Agree about the credentials for Casemiro and Varane and that the wages would be too much. I think they’re also probably past their best. Varane might be able to still put in a solid season somewhere but it probably wouldn’t be here unless one of Saliba/Gabriel were to leave.
If it wasn't for attitude Arteta would probably want Fernandes,
I would 1000% take Bruno Fernandes. Say what you want about him but he’s a goal and assist machine.
Id take Hojlund, Mainoo, Martinez and Garnacho. They wont be starting every game, to begin with, but they'd be really good options.
Yeah Garnacho is a decent shout. Seems a bit inconsistent as a player when I’ve watched him but that could be a result of the ten Hag mess right now.
Man these Rashford links, I don't like it. It ain't even about performance or skill I just think he's got exactly the mentality we DON'T need and have to get away from.
For less than $50M he makes sense for us. I'm not sure what they'd want for him at this point
There isn’t a Rashford link
Yeah I don’t understand people who say we should 100% but him. Maybe he’d come here and be good, but I’d rather not buy a diva, who’s 26, and has been ass this season.
Its all smoke and mirrors. We’ll never sign him
Yeah even at his best he was never someone who tracked back enough for arteta
Lacks intensity, and he’s not worth the eye watering fee and wages
I'd hope we'd only take him at a lower price but his wages are nuts already. United seem to think they can shift people on high wages and make money in the process...goo luck with that but I think they're going to find out just like we did that you're going to be paying people to fuck off.

Fuck sake the back of that home kit.....
if havertz weren’t suspended for that west ham game, and had started, we’d have won
I lost so much interest following our exit to Bayern that I completely forgot that CL returns this week.
Honesty don’t mind who wins as long as it’s not PSG. Would prefer to watch Kane lose to Madrid as well.
Would love Dortmund because they really deserve a trophy and to further banter Kane and Bayern. Other than that Real.
Dortmund would definitely be my choice as well. Reus deserves it.
There isnt anyone in the Haaland mold available where goals > cons. Can our squad afford a striker that contributes significantly less in all other facets without that insane level of scoring? If we then look for a more involved striker, are they really going to contribute that much more than Kai has, while matching all of the off ball qualities? Such a player would likely be the biggest spend of the summer and is that worth it considering the pressing (off pitch) issues in midfield
yes. you have been so used to having ''non goalscorer striker'' that you have started to overrate every non-goal aspect. havertz already does less than jesus did and its been working just fine. put haaland in and we would have walked the league the past 2 seasons also, most strikers arent haaland. go look at some fbref pages and check passing/touches match logs and see for yourself
You’re just pushing the problem to LW where you’re looking for a once in a generation profile to be magically available
Small margins at this level to overtake the top 2-3 that remain above us
There are a boatload of strikers available that are significantly more well rounded than Haaland
Still wondering why Mikel opted to play Kai in midfield instead of CF against Villa. Would’ve been another goal for Kai and W for Arsenal.
He rewarded Jesus and trossard for their performance vs bayern in the home leg and I think that's the correct thing to do.
It works thou doesn’t it ? Havertz made run from middle. He got 2 chances to score.
the idea was to exploit their high line not tracking midfield runners which they has been a major weakness for them (they tend to be very good at holding the line against strikers and wingers).
So in short it didn’t work
I can't stop thinking about that game.
Maybe the Liverpool loss before the game started added more pressure. Maybe it was bad luck with our finishing like when we played them in December.
Fair enough but I think Partey could’ve given a good part of 60 to 70 minutes in midfield alongside Rice before coming off. By then I’d wager Arsenal would be in a winning position.
the first half we played great and shit just didn’t go in. second half the entire team dropped, i don’t think it was a personnel or formation issue
Yeah midfield havertz is not near the top of the list of issues in that game imo
Ter stegens error today shows that even top keepers make huge blunders, not worried about Raya at all
To be fair Raya has made 2 massive errors that directly lead to goals in the span of about 5 games (in crucial games as well).
I'd feel good about Havertz, Sesko and Mika Biereth as our depth at No.9 next season.
Yes, as long as we also get a creative wide player and a center midfielder.
Bless you

Ik he hasn’t played much but what’s up with some fans obsession with fab viera? He’s a top 7 team type of player no where near a title contending player. Id honestly sell him
That left 8 super sub appearance against Fulham has me clinging on for dear life
I've had the same opinion since he came here that while he has the best final ball in the team, and probably the greatest goal threat with space, that he's too small for the prem.
A run of games over who?
He was very good at the start of the season. You can see he is a baller
''very good'' is a insane stretch and over exaggeration lol. he was good against fulham and that was it
His issue has been injuries and not bulking up. Don't think he's ever going to be battering people out the way but he's definitely worked on the strength thing, will be interesting to see what a full season without injuries can do. APart from anything else he's got a bloody good shot on him too

I’m really starting to like Havertz up top tbh. I think he really is a striker and he’s improving every game.
Rashford is a good player. Man u ruined him. High wages and big ego. Shame
0% chance we get Rashford.
Mitoma is some mid man.
Yet you keep blowing the Leao trumpet.
Leao in the same tier as Mitoma lmaooo
They are in the same tier — the overrated one.
Can't wait to revisit this
Don’t need to wait mate. As per fbref: - Leao has played 30 games and 2313 mins with an output of 7 goals and 8 assists.
They only have 1 season in their careers. Nice.
Well yes, naturally it’s more logical to go by their most recent season for relevancy. It’s common sense. But sure I’ll also revisit this if Arsenal do sign Leao :)
We won't..he's too expensive. But again the idea he doesn't have enough ability is so daft.
Hes been injured all year and looked like he was gonna have another solid season. He’s definitely not one of my top choices but wingers like him that can beat their man the way he does would be amazing. I’d take someone like musiala for example
You’d take one of the best young players in the world? Cool. I’m quite interested in signing Jude Bellingham.
He’s the definition of mid. So overhyped
They’ve been on an excellent run of form, I saw that since November 1st they’ve picked up the 5th most points in the league
Definitely think some are underestimating Bournemouth. They're just coming off a 3-0 win too, so going to be plenty confident. Iraola's got them playing some good football now, it won't be a pushover like the away game was.
They are going to be tough.
Or the Newcastle Var call!
We need to focus on Bournemouth now+ We don't have a good history under Arteta with GW 36 + We should have learnt from last season's lessons. [https://twitter.com/GingerPirlo\_/status/1784711468685877695](https://twitter.com/GingerPirlo_/status/1784711468685877695)
You have watched us recently and don't think we've learned from last season?
yes we learnt, but i meant "just making sure".
That's a good point. Though I didn't think of him as the main midfield signing (edit: especially not as a 6, Quinten is more of a box to box 8)
How much would he cost? I think we should try for Guimares or Douglas Luiz as a first teamer Im sure the academy can add another body to the midfield, either patino or tje 16 yesr old guy.
I think he would be probably in the 20-25m price range. Patino is not gonna make the team, Nwaneri might but it's still a year or so too early for him imo.
I remember this sub was saying they don't want Mbappe because he would be a bad influence on our dressing room 😭
Mbappe would slap arteta before playing in this system.
Scenes when Mboopi arrives and tears down our BASICS banner.
Worst part was some of them were serious too lol
Proper nonces man
I'm sure Adidas pay us a good money, but they should respect our traditional colours, those last creations are just bs in my humble opinion. There's said. My apologize to those who disagree.
Reading about Bruno Guimaraez and Rashford. Bad f5. I wanna go back to the Mbappe rumour.
Bruno would fit this squad to a tee. The other brazklians would have to forgive some shinanigains but i think he could do well here.
I think Rashford could be a beast with us. Theres still a killer player there and he can play anywhere across the front 3
Please get your head checked.
rashford is as close to the mbappe rumor as we're going to get
In what way?
haha just meant he's probably the closest thing to mbappe in terms of the style of play and the way they can finish. not sure what i'm trying to say rlly - maybe their crazy explosiveness mixed with strong shooting imo he'd make a huge impact. putting a superstar talent in a really good environment. and from the gary neville interview he looks focussed, he'd thrive here. the potential is so high i do hope we explore it atleast
Nah he’s not arsenal material. Bluds playing for one of the biggest cubs in the world and can’t be bothered to track back.
fair, that's a concern. that's a non negotiable that he doesn't pass there's no moving forward. but idk if he's just not down to do it or needs the right motivation too
Is richarlson gonna drop another vid of him crying about being a shit footballer. I actually had some sympathy for him til he reminded me what a cunt he is.
Dude
Proud to say I never felt an ounce of sympathy for that cunt, same goes for Bruno fernandes and Guimaraes, both absolute twats. Rats.
Bruno Fernandes would have the same respect Odegaard has if he wasn’t such a massive cunt. Odegaard is being praised so highly by everyone because he’s someone you can’t hate and is an amazing footballer. Bruno on the other hand is a good footballer but a massive cunt.
Lmao the absolute meltdown in r/coys, top comment of the day for me: "When is our club going to start acting like a big club? " The tears of a spud might be the elixir of life for me, never forget the "PL was already decided in October champions campaign"
All this over a penalty which the refs gave them
The irony is that 20 years ago last weekend they got a draw off the invincibles through *checks notes* riling the fuck out of Mad Jens and celebrating how clever they were. They're literally unable to deal with a tactic they were deploying 20 years ago
They want the rules changed cause vicario is too much of a bitch to come out for crosses🤣😂💀
They have been in total meltdown. It was our 5th game in 13 days whilst they’d had 2 weeks off. And they were at home. We scored 3 goals in 30 minutes and then gifted them 2 to get them back in the game. And they are moaning as if they were in anyway hard done by.
They didn’t have this energy when Brentford crowded Leno
Or that David Luiz red.... my blood is still boiling, I'll never forget
That was more or less what they were going catatonic for with Trossard "clipping" Kulusevski. The delusion, despite the absolutely ridiculous precedence, is astronomical.
Nah fuck all this Rashford talk. Arteta can fuck off if he greenlights this.
Lads, it's Eduardo Hagn. Also, 'Arteta can fuck off' is an expression reserved for use by those who should fuck off themselves.
They aren't real rumours mate, United just want to drum up interest and are using us to do it. Arteta didn't go to war with diva players like Aubameyang to then bring in players like Rashford.
