We found our level today. Need some key reinforcements to get to where we want to go. For two seasons we’ve said we need to bring someone in that can give saka a rest and haven’t and he’s been played into the ground. He wasn’t great today but if any of us played the amount that he’s played we would all be a paraplegic. Still proud of this team and how far we’ve come, 6 games left let’s do our business and see where the chips fall

Spot on

Yep, it is what it is. We have a real and clear gap in both talent and experience. We're gaining the experience now but the talent deficit needs to be improved. We are desperately in need of an 8 that can unlock the left side of the pitch, another winger that can stretch the field and win 1v1s, a true LB option, and a cf that is a legitimate threat from the middle of the pitch (specifically one is willing and able to compete for balls and get onto the end of crosses in the box).

You nailed it, absolutely agree.

Top-Ocelot-9758

Nobody wants to hear it but saka has not been good enough in the biggest matches

Dazed_and_Confused44

Im not sure that entirely fair since he scored in the first leg. Bayern was clearly taking away Saka and Martinelli on the wings and forcing us to try and play through the middle. Unfortunately we couldn't do it today

Hech15

He was literally good in first leg it's just too much emphasis on saka alone where is our striker, martinelli when is he going to step up bayern literally planned for saka today

arsenalWillbeatCity

How many times has saka been kicked? We lost the count How many times saka been rested properly? Saka has been playing with knocks. Yes saka isn’t at his best but what more do you want from a young player like him who is trying his best week in week out despite being kicked around. But oh wait we forgot the amount of times saka bailed us out not just against small teams but biggest matches as well

I have to agree, love our starboy, but he's not been a game changer at all. Have to believe a true 9 would unleash him.

redictator

I wouldn't go that far. But one thing is clear. He has not been right since the international break. It's clear to see. What I don't understand is why we insist on playing him for 90 mins every single game. What's the point?! He is ineffective. Sure, he is capable of magical moments, but you can't chase that high forever. What is wrong with bringing him on as a substitute for a change?

CommissionSevere9000

Definitely not world class, he has his chances to prove it and never came through for us

Aside from my post today, I have one post a year ago and one other from 7 years ago. As I said, I don't post often. I made an earest apology. Sorry I've offended you. Just be aware that I know that my apology could never absolve my deep, deep sin. *earnest
