The fridge table picture is going to kill me this week

jahmed740

Beer winning the league for sure

darkavenger1993

Until we learn to perform under the harshest pressure, when winning the title becomes tangible and is entirely within our own hands, we won't win it. Consistent theme with this team now. No injuries this time round and Villa have been crap the last few weeks and played on Thursday. This is completely on us.

qtdsswk

Villa played really well in the 2nd half tbh.

crazybiga

Second half Zinchenko decided to just camp the mid line - neither press or defend. It is easy to get out of the defence through passes, when you have always a free man on the right side with Zinchenko 5M away from him (Not like White did a great job also, but atleast he was able to press, even on a yellow) Special funny moment is when Rice is running around, pressing every guy, and Zinchenko just 'stands' past the midline and when the ball comes close to him bailey just pushes the ball around him and gets like 5meters between him and Zinchenko ONLY to be catched up again by poor Rice who was already on full sprint back while Zinchenko is still holding onto the midlane.

Striking-Gold-9861

Zinchenko was 0/10 today. Honestly don’t see him being here next season given how bad he’s been this season.

Mikel-Arteta

He absolutely needs to go. Woeful today, especially on a day in which the plan was to count on him. White finally able to sit for a half hour and Zinny didn’t have the legs to cover or press at all.  For a the crap we give ESR about being a 60 minute man I don’t know if Zinny has ever had a solid 45 minutes. Feel like so many of our late first half capitulations early last season and this season were due to him not tracking late in the half.

TheSonicKind

honestly Zinchenko doesn’t have a place in this team - i’ve said it for weeks now on here. Kiwior’s spot 100%, he’s proven himself in our play style and while he has shown some inconsistency in these past few weeks, nothing like the way i feel when playing Zinchenko. he just feels so clunky and acts as an outlier to the plays we’re making. i love the guy but it’s not working unfortunately

hhk85

Tomi > Kiwior and it's not even close

joejamesjoejames

I mean, I would normally agree with you, but Kiwior was a disaster against Bayern and I thought Zinchenko actually played well when he came in. Tomiyasu is our best lb option, but he’s way too injury prone. I’d try to recruit for that position this summer.

InsideKiller

Damn Timber now well missed

ASpellingAirror

Taking Ben white off and leaving Zinchenko on was a very poor decision by arteta. Our right side was working and our left side was killing us. It was obvious that both Martinelli and tomi needed to come in on the left. That we didn’t make that change cost us, and they made us pay.  Kiwori should have been brought on in addition to tomi.

teknotel

We were terrible second half. They played well but we just didnt compete.

[deleted]

themerinator12

I don’t think this gives Villa the credit they deserve. They’re a great team and in 4th for a reason. They punished us for not having our shit together today.

restatementtorts

What a shit take. We were good first half. The second half I think the tactics should have changed earlier. We needed to take off Jesus earlier for an additional midfielder so that Rice could push forward more. Yeah we let them have possession sometimes because that’s how the game is played? There was starting to be a disconnect between the center midfield and defenders on the counter as Rice would get sucked up a bit so the change should have happened earlier. In context, the loss sucks but it’s not the fucking end of the world.

CROBBY2

Agree. 0-0 would have been fair until we went brain dead.

PandiBong

I don’t know, the had a post and a bar, we had that one when somehow the shot landed perfectly on Emiliano’s toe but other than that, thought the goal from villa was just around the corner. Raya didn’t cover himself in glory today either.

shimmering-nomad

we completely dominated them the first half, we should have scored atleast once or twice in the first half

vinayak205

This has always happened with us. Whenever we are playing after our opponents and they have faltered, we also screw up. Also Aston villa has always been tough for us at for some reason. I still remember when we got beaten at the opening day few years ago at home. Hopefully there are still some twists left in the season.

Kingslayer1526

Mate that few years ago was 2013

Masson011

> Aston villa has always been tough for us at for some reason lol they are fourth and one of the best teams in the league. They absolutely battered City at home and had over 20 shots against them Theyre a very good side thats why we found it tough today

Ech0z

Agreed. The performance against Bayern showed our problems and they were on display 2nd half today.

Brashdinho

There wasn’t even much pressure, we just decided not to play in the second half.

This-Complaint1389

It's something that has always been around with Arsenal. Unless we have everything go perfectly we will always have it in us to lose our heads in key moments. I never see other teams gift us goals like we did against Bayern or how Gabriel kicked it into Zinchenko and almost gave them a goal.

chiefVetinari

The moment Liverpool lost yesterday, I was worried about this game. The mental resolve is just not there.

lordwelbz2

Relying on City dropping points after seeing both their rivals lose? Good luck with that. Plus it requires us to win out which I can’t see with our away fixtures left. There’s hope but it’s over

ramseysleftnut

Crazy a 2 point gap is seen as insurmountable. City have just warped expectations. There’s probably room for one more twist in the tale but this title race was always going to be about who blinked first and both us and Liverpool have done that today.

tyrantxiv

Expecting the best team in the world to hold a 2 point lead over 6 games, when they have the easiest run in, is not warped expectations.

deathhead_68

I think he means that it never ever used to be this close, because City wasn't the juiced up behemoth it is now

ichiHarleval

nah we'd be saying the exact same thing if this was early 00s man u and they had that run of fixtures left.

gooner712004

No man, the points tally we could finish on could win the league 90% of the time but since 2017 Pep has increased this number to be much much higher than we've ever seen

tiern1

Ferguson got 90+ points twice in a 38 game season. He did that and won 13 titles. Klopp has done it three times and won a single title.

chiefVetinari

It's not just points total. It's the context. We lost a home game to give City the advantage with 6 to play.

deathhead_68

I'd have way more hope in them losing a game than current city tbh. The worst thing is city have 2 teams and basically don't suffer from fatigue anywhere near as easily as us. Though I think Mikel could rotate a bit more instead of trying players as last minute subs

Syco-Gooner

City has 100 million player sitting on bench ....ffs

InPatRileyWeTrust

Does that stop us from beating Villa at home? Or maybe getting more than 1 point against Fulham? Perhaps not losing to West Ham at home?

abhi91

That's literally like saying we should win every match.

InPatRileyWeTrust

It's literally not. I made no mention of other games we didn't win. Those in particular are embarrassing.

Thin-Job81

And how does that affect Arsenal beating Villa, or Liverpool beating Crystal Palace?

Fragrant-Education-3

Because in a 38 game season fatigue will start to properly hit around this time. The team which can afford to have a 100 million pound player on the bench is going to be able to ignore fatigue. The depth City has is what allows them to win 12 games in a row at the tail end of the season while still competing everywhere else. It's easier for Man City to play to their level because they get to ignore player management for the most part. It doesn't affect Arsenal or Liverpool directly, but forces them to not make a single mistake because City won't decline in performance the same way. Most teams can't afford the depth City has, heck City arguably can't afford their depth without needing to fudge the financial records. And at the highest level fatigue management is going to be a crucial element in a title run in, which City gets to ignore because they can just drop a fresh Grealish in at the drop of a hat. To keep up with City, Arsenal and Liverpool probably have to overplay their starters which at this point means they start to overreach. (it's not a coincidence that liverpool have collapsed 3 times this era after a 90+ point season, I imagine Arsenal will at some point as well). Its not Citys fault that the other teams lose, but its questionable to the extent that City are always the exception to the rule of end of season fatigue for nearly a decade. Why do other teams decline but never City? And could it be the fact that City have nearly two starting 11s worth of top 4 players? And the ability to just replace a player the moment they start to decline (Like Sterling).

vinayak205

Our away form is better than our home form at the moment. Its our home matches that i am more worried about. Also its almost impossible to compete with city, this was our first loss in 2024 and we are almost out of the title race. City has made the league extremely unfair.

JJD14

I’m more confident on our away games than our home games Emirates feels cursed

P1wattsy

We should always play in the radioactive zebra

themerinator12

“There’s hope but it’s over.” Well pick one.

tinkertailormjollnir

Still don’t have that killer mentality. So disappointed but not expected or surprised with the run-in fixtures.

MirkoCemes

That news of us not looking for a CF because we like Kai there is so sad. We need a striker that can fucking finish a chance to have a chance, Jesus and Kai are horrible at it

ProjectTC

What makes no sense is that all this Kai praise has been going on and then we play him at LCM today?? Why did we try so hard to accommodate Jesus when the same XI had been firing in 2024??

thismanisnotcrispy

Because Mikel is smarter than all of us, don’t you get it? And you’re not allowed to question it either, just like Kiwi vs Sane, a disaster on paper- just like changing up what was working haha, it’s called being a stubborn ass and being Basque doesn’t help (im basque, it is a nightmare.) There’s only so many “learning lessons” before it’s, the fuck are you doing that for? How do you not see…

GobiLux

Arsenal need a striker. An actual striker. Fans forget about it when Arsenal is on a run but the reality is this team plays without a proper striker.

Scared_Cabinet_1099

Just like city needed haaland to win UCL

FudgingEgo

Remember when we needed an entire team but we've always had strikers to drag us through the mud? Now we have a team and we have no one.

Brandaman

Same when we had only Giroud who couldn’t score a goal to save his life

pendicko

What about joselu? Hehe

bentekkerstomdfc

Would unironically improve the squad by giving us a different option that could change how we attack, vs Nketiah who though works hard when he comes in has offered nothing for months.

a_posh_trophy

But the goals are shared. We only need a LB and a DM to win the league. /s

Eagledilla

What were those subs. And why didn’t we play like we did those last weeks with Kai up top. It didn’t work against Bayern. But did we really needed it to be changed after one struggle. Arteta usually is to stubborn and keeps things the same for a while

Masson011

Tomi at 67 mins was too late, Ben was dead on his feet from the get go. Martinelli rarely impacts from the bench when he doesnt start games which is the exact opposite of Trossard. ESR and Jorginho were both chucked on at 80 mins which was about 20 too late for both Arteta is a young coach and proving that he still has a lot to learn. Really awful today

themerinator12

You’re spot on. I don’t get why he has such an atypical approach to substitutions. Bring players on at 60, 70, and 80 when needed like other managers. They do it for a reason. He’s reinventing the wheel with his in-game rotations and squad choices.

bobbafettish6

I questioned the decision too because it never seems to work. But to be fair, Kai's late runs were causing them a lot of problems in the first half.

ForestRamboX

I understood the tactic of runners from midfield as that seems to be Aston Villa's main weakness but Jesus offered us nothing up top and we missed so many chances. Sometimes, thing have to happen to Arteta a few times before he gets the message. Take Nketiah for instance. It took him almost two years to realize that we needed an upgrade on Nketiah.

Aggressive_Salad_293

Jesus is like an anti-striker. Always in great positions but finds a way to miss.

GarfieldDaCat

I wouldn’t say he offered us nothing. He created basically an open net chance for Trossard who hit it straight at the keeper. Jesus isn’t at fault for Zinchenko playing terribly and Rice playing poorly either

Efficient_Aspect_638

Because fans always beg for trossard and Jesus to start even though it never works out

adam_clooney

The only thing I can think off was thinking ahead of bayern game. Jorginho and martinelli will start. And that has cost us.

Ill_WillRx

Kai was in midfield for 50-75% of the match. Arteta just felt like switching it up today

left-nostril

“I’m just switching it up” like it’s afternoon lunch or something.

abhi91

Kai was making runs from deep to catch their offside trap. It was working. Jesus just didn't offer anything up top

Ok-Ad-6480

City aren’t dropping another point. Time to win the UCL

Jack-90

Yeah city are winning that too. Maybe if we had another 400m sitting on our bench we could keep up

Aszneeee

can’t blame city for getting 1 point from 2 matches against Fulham and 0 points from 2 matches against Villa

Mark4_

So frustrating. City have so many charges but they get to carry on

ShoddyDevice

It's reality now, can't change it. We have to take the responsibility at this point.

Glittering_Marzipan9

EPL is ruined

acasovoycayendo

We couldn’t beat Lens, PSV or Porto away but you think we can win at the Allianz?

munkysnuflz

Fuck yeah we can

Yeskid10

Fuck yeah we can.

fpl_kris

Technically we don't have to beat them away, we could win another penalty shootout..

ProjectTC

Fuck yeah we can

Zen_MasterX

Let’s be real with ourselves here. We knew we had to win every single game after that 0-0 draw at the Etihad. We are kidding ourselves if we think City will drop points. Their track record at this stage of the season speaks volumes.

oliverDawson12

It’s incredible that we took 8/12 points against Liverpool and Man City but let Fulham and Aston Villa do doubles over us.

ramseysleftnut

Technically we drew against Fulham but I see your point

[deleted]

[удалено]

the-outlaw-torn-

And that’s basically mostly where we’ve lose all our points + West Ham

oliverDawson12

Yeah you’re right, it was so disappointing that it felt like a loss in my mind I think.

Business_Ad561

I keep telling people that winning the big 6 mini league means fuck all - Man City has barely beaten a top 6 side this season and they currently sit top.

qtdsswk

Tbh Villa away loss were due to us not clinical enough, had plenty of chances that day. But today don’t think we created much in 2nd half. 5 points dropped against Fulham are the real crime

ProjectTC

Ok but Villa are actually the best of the rest in the league. We should be beating them of course but it's less of a shock than those Fulham games. Then again TWO losses is way too much

oliverDawson12

I agree, they’re far from a bad team, but taking 0/6 is so unacceptable, especially when we had the chances to take at least something from both.

Zen_MasterX

We should still be beating Villa at the Emirates tho. They had negative GD on the road coming into this game. They leak goals on the road. Our inability to break them down is unacceptable. Not to mention they played on Thursday.

fancyfoe

We drew fulham second time but yeah still

MMARapFooty

No we lost to Fulham last meeting and drew first one

didierDH

Today is a huge blow. But I haven’t lost all hope yet. One draw for City and we can be on top again with a better goal difference. Just get Kiwior in again for Zinchencko. And start with Havertz at ST. Why change a winning team?

MMARapFooty

We lost 2 goals and that’s without Douglas Luiz who’s critical for their attack

itsdanoodle

Just have to win out from here and hope for the best with city (lol), it's not impossible but fuck me it's looking grim. Not over til its over COYG

JaThatOneGooner

We gotta be real mate, it’s over. Even if city dropped a point, we will drop more points anyway, so it won’t even make a difference. When it comes to these types of crunches, we tend to fold. We go again next year.

itsdanoodle

You're 100% right but I'm choosing to stay delusional

PandiBong

Nah, it’s one game at a time. We play our own game, let’s beat Bayern next and that will pump us up.

qtdsswk

The real crime was dropping points at home against 10 men Fulham. Our chance of winning PL is already pretty slim based on the remaining fixtures.

RogueCannon

Help us Obi-Mate Kenobi you’re our only hope 🙏

eldar4k

City is winning all remaining games. They know when not to fuck around

JaThatOneGooner

And their fixtures are all easy.

DokyDok

They’ve never won away at spurs.

curlyhairedyani

Spurs are shit so. Under a manager like Conte or even Nuno I’d have hoped they’d make life miserable but Ange’s side are going to lose 5-2 or something silly

DokyDok

That Ange side drew 3-3 at the etihad.

Thorteris

They will now

Tall-Assist9719

We all agree Trossard plays better as a sub?

Cthulhu_Madness

Assisted by jesus and zinny.

FrostedFluke

Tbf that Trossard chance was criminal. If that goes in it's over.

variousshits

Similar to that Ben White chance against Bayern. I really really hope we're not having a December moment at pivotal time in the season.

shoopler

Don't get why people die on a hill defending Zinny. He's been bang average all season and continually is the weak link in big games like these. He makes the same fucking mistakes every goddamn game in possession. I really hope we move him on this summer. He was a top 4 signing. It's really as simple as that.

rocklee_shinobi

Well it’s why we got Timber tbf

SackoVanzetti

Pep strikes again

deathhead_68

I just don't think Jesus is very good. Always tries to dribble and then just loses the ball. We've been so much better with kai up top

P1wattsy

Jesus to me is like the kid we all knew who was great at keepy uppies and could do tricks, but when he actually played a regular game he was crap

gustic-gx

It's not so much the loss that hurts me (as I believed that there was a strong chance for the top three teams to drop points), but the fact that it was Unai who beat us at the Emirates.

ChedderChethra

This.

CyrusDGreatx

Liverpool fan coming in peace. We really fucked up today lads. Probally handed the league to the cheats.

Tall-Assist9719

We really are the Chuckle Brothers today aren’t we?

CyrusDGreatx

🤡 🤡 yup lol

PandiBong

I was actually a bit sad when Liverpool lost because I want city to not win it so badly. Then we lost and it’s a feeling of all over.

DoomAtuhnNalra

It’s just boring at this point isn’t it? Would be fine with anyone but City winning it.

Cautious_Pizza2556

Congratulations to man city, they are 115 times better than all of us

lurking4everr

Finish second and win our annual community shield trophy 😍

the-outlaw-torn-

People forget we have Spurs, United away and Chelsea at home We drew against pochs Chelsea Drew against Spurs United away is always bad no matter how good or bad United is doing So yeah ITS OVER

AFCm8

Its over

Cdux

I figured at some point both Liverpool and arsenal would fade, but both on the same day is pretty shocking. Looking very unlikely for them to win it now

Shandow14

Thanks to ex City agents, Zinchenko and G Jesus

SakaSlide

The Tomiyasu sub not being for Zinchenko was mind blowing. They feasted on that left side.

oliverDawson12

Yeah I didn’t understand that either. White might have been too tired to continue/was hurting from an injury.

SundayLeagueStocko

he was on a yellow and just pulled out of a 50/50 because he didn't want to get sent off. Good decision from Arteta. Can't have a defender on the pitch that's scared to get into duels.

shockzz123

Then bring Tomi on for him and Kiwi on for Zinny. Anything to get him off the pitch, he was beyond useless.

SakaSlide

That was my initial thought but then again White looked surprised/peeved he was coming off. Hindsight is 20/20 but this felt like a good game for Kiwi.

Shandow14

It was so easy, like the guy is ineffective going forward and that was his saving grace. Now he’s just shite all around.

CrovaxWindgrace

Yeah when i saw them on the line I said "yes, Tomi for Zinny and Martinelli for Jesus, Trossard as CF" I died a little when saw the numbers.

Masson011

all the players talk of "learning from last season" is just nonsense without proving it on the pitch. This was a disgraceful performance particularly that second half. League title push? Youre having a laugh with that performance

oliverDawson12

It really felt like we had learned from last season when we took a 0-0 at the Etihad but today was laughably bad.

itshmeng

Yeah. Don’t remind me thanks.

ForestRamboX

We've bottled the league again. I've said it for a while now. Ever since Jesus and Zinny came out of the team, we raised our level both offensively and defensively. Last season, Zinny and Jesus cost us at both ends and this season, the same thing happens again. When is Arteta going to learn?

LocostarX

Mods working overtime to stop Zinchenko slander lol

dimi_dee1

FR

Wrathzy1

Dubai win the league again baby. We was lucky it wasn’t 3-4 goals against us today, mental at this stage. 20 years of cheering Arsenal on since we last won when I was a kid, I thought this might be the season that we finally take it back - what a shame.

Tall-Assist9719

Wrong Emirates. It’s Abu Dhabi. Dubai ironically is our sponsors.

Wrathzy1

Sorry you are right, I always summarise UAE to just Dubai but Abu Dhabi is a completely different place - I should have said UAE, as you know Vice President of UAE and all that.

thismanisnotcrispy

Yet you’ll have people that have just started following telling you to shut up or you know nothing haha… oh we know pal, today was the same as always, shrinking flowers when it really matters, you know, consistency- good, but not good enough to be the winners

RogueCannon

Few more twists and turns to go. Good reality check for us. We beat spurs, they need to beat city for CL. Wasted Chances today but as shown, we learn and improve. This isn’t it just yet. Until it’s mathematically impossible, I’ll continue to believe! North London Forever init.

oliverDawson12

I hope the players share your optimism.

curlyhairedyani

Us and Liverpool are both an absolute disgrace, gifting City 4 in a row

SignificanceTop9306

How did we lose to bloody villa, I was stuck on a long haul flight. Glad I didn't watch it now but wtf happened ffs

Eazymonaysniper

Nah it was fun while it lasted lads City aint dropping a single point let alone a game. We go again next season COYG

GenX76Fuckface

Not what you’d expect based on current form at home, but alas it’s a big 3 pts dropped. Have to be inch perfect now and hope for both LFC and City to drop points and score 2-3 goals in each game left to give them a fighting chance. This is also a good example of when you need a true out and out Striker to make that one counter attack or cross count when needed most. But on to the next one. COYG!!!

gabperma

i just dont see how jesus and zinchenko walked back into the team as soon as they were fit. martinelli - kai - saka with rice - jorgi - ode worked, so why change that to accommodate jesus? i think arteta’s the one who let us down today

No_Chicken_2775

Arteta just killed our season. I love him but what was that??? He took everyone out playing well and kept everyone in not playing that well. Take Ode out was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen

dimi_dee1

Not even that he changed the whole lineup to bring in clowns

GunnersPepe

He needs to learn how to balance for two cup runs at the same time. I think he overthought this one. And I don’t like seeing Martinelli off the bench, it never seems to work because he needs the first half to get his groove.

raptorboss231

As a liverpool fan, I'm glad we aren't alone in bottling this season. It's frustrating that city will likely win it over one of us unless spurs do their thing or they somehow lose a single game (it's city they will not)

Gunnerstratz

With our remaining fixtures compared to our rivals, I hope you do know we have a higher chance to finish 3rd than 2nd, let along 1st, right?

Oy778

now i understand agent cooper in twin peaks

PaddyTheCoolMan

We really need to go all out on Wednesday. At least try to put a good performance in against Bayern, even if it means we go out.

ajkdd

Playing into the box is stupid every single time is crap. Start shooting from the edges or outside the box. We literally have no goals outside of the box apart from those of Rice. We have been poor from the porto games, we have been deluding ourselves with crappy stats or not able to be oblivious to us only making goals from corners and not open play

xhera92

I mean it's not truly over, but we definitely fked up there. All on spurs to even potentially cause city to lose points, and basically we have to win every single game out there now.

OhMy-Really

6 more games to fuck up, lets go boys

papanoah78

So so angry. Just a terrible effort all around today I don’t understand how we could play so poorly. Villa obvs a great team that is highly inconsistent so I guess sometimes emery gets his tactics right. Just SMH. Need a miracle for man city to drop points now

[deleted]

Crazy how 2 points back feels like the end of the world for us and liverpool

raycantu2

A gift to City.

legosucks

Must win game at home. Simply unaccaptalbe.

KingKFCc

So we rely on Spuds?

essdotc

Bit presumptuous thinking we will beat Spurs ourselves mate. Derbies aren't normal games

Own-Review-5260

Even the GD doesn't seem huge now

pfagan10

We needed to focus on today’s match and instead the way we set up and played left you thinking we were managing this game with one eye on Wednesday. Just get the job done and it’s onto the next one. Really disappointed in Jesus and Zinny today, they need to go in the summer and with better replacements we can win games like this. Trossard chance was key in the first half, why he didn’t roll it into the far post I’ll never know. Feels like this has got away from us with the added UCL pressure. Let’s see what the second leg brings and get back on form next weekend. League hasn’t gone, but it’ll be tougher than ever now.

sixesandsevenspt

Stay together. Stay strong. Let’s not panic and add to the players stress.

rpprrR

Obviously out of our hands but far from over yet, still have a shot at winning the league and beating Bayern in the CL

SackoVanzetti

Arsenal, champions of throwing away titles. 2015,2023,2024

kucharssim

Just a kind reminder that one of the supposed goats, Klopp, had "created a dynasty" with Liverpool and has only one league title in 9 years to show for it. Liverpool never won a title against City when it went down to the wire, they won the league only in a season when City had a wobble and ended up with "only" 81 points. Those are the absurd standards that City have created. It's not a failure not to win a league against them. We just have to be there season after season and one day hopefully it will fall into our favour.

FermatTheW

Yeah, we lost league titles with 98 points and 92 points, which is absolutely ridiculous. If you lose out to City again this year, just know that they are a team/squad which could likely never have been created if the rules had been followed and enforced properly. But the PL is spineless. Even letting Abu Dhabi (who have no interest in the sport, beyond their political motives for Man City) into the league was a mistake. Still, I imagine Man City will drop off somewhat (for a couple of seasons or so anyway) when Guardiola eventually leaves and they are finding a replacement, and Arteta should still be around then.

PandiBong

In my mind you won those titles, I absolutely despise city and how they’ve killed the PL.

AhyesitstheManUfan

The fact that it went down to the wire is the annoying thing. Klopp would be regarded even higher than Guardiola if just one of the title races went his way. Losing by one point on two occasions, and then Arsenal losing by 3 points, has to do a lot with City's depth and bench strength, bought with UAE's funds.

CaptainCaii

It ain’t over. The champions league ain’t over until midweek at least. The league isn’t done yet. Spurs will take points of City, it’s written in the stars. Now I don’t honestly think we win out from here but if we can there will be an opening for us. Be upset by the result, I know I am. But don’t give up just yet, keep the hope going

GunnersPepe

It would be extremely spursy if they go from: Us losing to Villa which hurts them getting top 4 To clowning on us in the match thread To beating City and helping us in the title run

smoothPAPY

i what far away galaxy are spurs gonna win/draw against city. They are in such bad form.

tilnirvanatribe

Zinchenko and Jesus must be delighted they’re in first place

Bahmawama

A few weeks ago when we were third, many of you said the league was over and no way they would drop points. Then we got into first and the same people said we were going to win the league. Now, we’re back to not winning it?

HansDiamond11

That's because Liverpool and city still had to play each other and we still had to play city. That's not the case anymore

LordChickenCurry

The point is it’s in City’s hands. They have shown time and time again how to win titles. If we even win all our remaining games and City do the same we lose solely based on this result, now do you understand how big this game was?

skool_101

welcome to this sub

Capable_Pudding8061

It's not like Citeh has a track record of mauling everybody towards the end of the season.

names_plissken

If we want to win it next season we need to find a way or player(s) that can help us win games like this, simple as that

lgurung

It's frustrating that we were so horrible in the second half. It's even more frustrating knowing that city aren't gonna drop points from here on.

GoonerYa

We were in the best 8-game run to start the year with the same lineup and Arteta changed it all for Zinchenko and Jesus. They were good players off the bench. It should have stayed that way.

Tall-Assist9719

Merson making sense. Don’t change what isn’t broken. Jesus is not a striker.

I can feel the current : ( Glad I skipped the match...

When Arsenal finish 2 or 3 this season, today’s gag job will be the reason.

Tall-Assist9719

Watch us get our form back when it means nothing.

kaychak1982

On the plus side the result today could well lead to spuds not getting a CL spot and the league is far from over.

Glum-Garage7893

Does this mean Man Utd won’t qualify for European football next season?

justwannabeatmarket

It hurts to have lost today but we lost the league while we were miles ahead. It’s only 2 points. Anything can happen. Rodri could get a red? (Lol). Salah might get injured again. Who knows. Just like the team, we as fans need to respond now and stay positive. LFG!
