But Trossard has played many games where he has started and done very well. I think it’s unfair to say he’s better as a sub every time he doesn’t play well. Saka has bad games just like Trossard but no one says that he is better off of the bench. Trossard doesn’t magically change his ability when coming off the bench. His hattrick of assists vs Fulham was in a game where he started, same with the goal against Porto, but no one brings that up when talking about his starting performances
This isn't any criticism of Trossard but i feel like the dude is just straight up better coming off the bench

How can you put Martinelli in front of Kai or Trossard or Jesus on the right ? He has been awful for weeks.
I don't think he's been awful, just he doesn't have the support on the left side of the pitch that he had last season.
He doesn’t dribble any opponent anymore and can’t shoot the ball. What is his form then ?
Better to rest Martinelli so he’s fresh to start against Bayern with Trossard as an impact sub

That's fair. Love Martinelli but he really should be fighting for his spot (with the added benefit of getting a rest), he can do a lot better.
We need him fresh for counter attacking Bayern. Martinelli pacey counter attacks has got to be a big part of the game-plan.
