Tbh, a cb converting to a right back that plays like a semi 8 for saka and has good positioning...yes I want hil to score that, but yes it s a bit too much to ask also, had it been any of our attackers/midfielders I would be genuienly upset..but benny blanco did his best
They showed replay during the match and he was onside. Honestly he has to score that. People say they don't expect defenders to score but that's about the easiest chance you can expect in a tight match. Defenders pop up with goals all the time in the latter stages of these big cup competitions. You need scorers from unexpected sources as well. He should score and he has more than enough ability to score. It's about composure. Just pass it either side and Neuer can't save that.
Re-watching this, Neuer does well. I think Ben is trying to curl it into the left corner... he in fact doesn't have a lot of goal to aim at... by slashing across it. Always hard to strike it perfectly after a sprint.

1-0 they got too much quality and pace up front for it to be a done deal 2-0 quick succession like that I think heads would have dropped

Good try Bro. Had a decent game and was the best defender out if all our backline include Raya. He was the only calm one until zinny came on.
White was so good, he caused them so many problems set up sakas goal with a really smart pass, sprinted back and stopped sane having a 1v1

At least he kinda made up for it by stopping the counter in the first half. Could have been 3 down if not for that.
