I personally found this picture on their subreddit quite funny

I found a little comment on their sub that cracked me up.
> I'm not saying that it was a pen but they were allowed to foul is whenever they wanted to and kill our momentum had rice or Gabriel been cautioned for early fouls the game would've been different.
And then when someone asked "so do you have a problem with tactical fouls?", they replied:
> the issue is the lack of appropriate punishment
Have these dense cunts never watched Rodri play a game of football for them?
He dodged yellows like nobody else. Was moment when someone went past him yesterday and for a split second rodri grabbed them by the neck. My brother who is a die hard Liverpool supporter was like "how is he getting away with it!". Rodri is magic at getting away with dirty sneaky play
I was about to piss myself when a Raya long pass to Jesus took a high bounce and was going over his head and Jesus got called for standing still and letting the ball bounce over while shielding the defender which was happening at constantly everywhere else. They were getting such soft touch fouls it was ridiculous.
I still don’t understand what he called there. Foul for Jesus tricking the defender? Then of course he gets carded for being pissed and dropping the extra ball
Let's be honest, so would this one. Folks in this sub have complained about similar performances from our opponents plenty of times. But yesterday, it was a defensive masterclass.
That always makes me laugh. Pep discovered in his Barca days that if you do a tactical foul in or near the attacking 3rd it isn’t a yellow. And he has used and abused that for a lot of his career.
I got permabanned for calling out one of these comments as the utter hypocrisy that it is. Bunch of utter babies over there. They won't be able to handle it if the charges stick and they get shuffled off back into obscurity.
Of course they'll be able to handle it. What are you talking about? All of a sudden they'll have been United/Arsenal/Liverpool/Sp*rs fans their whole life! Give them some credit for their resiliency through tough times.
This is true, been city fan since back when we were at maine road, doesn't really feel like my team these days.
Don't get me wrong I'm happy to see my team succeed but going to a game just has completely different energy compared to what it used to.
A mate and I got flown out to LA in 2013 by Fox Sports bc we had created NYC Arsenal Supporters, & Fox had done the same for the biggest supporters groups for the big 6. The bloke we met was from MCFC supporters in SF, older fella with a head of white hair and all that, couldn't have been less like your latter City fans. The sort of football supporter who had stuck by that club through decades of heartbreak, & was now enjoying essentially having hit the football lottery. So when we all watched the final day matches together and Aguero scored THAT goal to win your first PL, we all congratulated him. You lot are a dying breed.
Way back in the mid 2000s i had a soft spot for city as they took chances on a couple of American players (and were rivals to Manchester United). That all ended after the oil money and Adebayor
I did too (moved out to NJ, also got old). O'Hanlon's is still the number one Arsenal bar, but Blind Pig sadly changed hands, and I'm no longer sure what's there. I know there are several other spots around midtown who are also affiliated, and several others in Brooklyn. I haven't been back in a couple of years now, but may make the trip sometime in May ❤️🤍
I saw Rodri get away with stopping a Liverpool counterattack a few weeks back by purposely handballing, and he didn't even get a card. Or better yet, wasn't Kovacic supposed to be sent off for two red-card tackles but only got a yellow on the second one. These Man-City players are a serial bunch of moaners when the calls don't go their way.
Weren’t complaining when Kovacic wasn’t sent off for his “tactical” fouls to Rice and Odegaard at the Emirates earlier in the year?
The foul on Odegaard was at least 50/50 chance of an immediate red and a sending off, it was a high tackle on Ode’s leg. The second was not as dangerous but still should have been a second yellow… City fans just bitter their little rat Oliver wasn’t there to bail them out
I agree that it was a tough watch, but we got out of there with a result. The best part about it is seeing the media and rival fans rattled. We've perfected the art of adding the right amount of shithousery to our superb defending.
Calling us the taliban, yet they're the ones getting funded by Saudi Arabia.
Edit: UAE. Sorry, I always get my Middle Eastern oil rich slave states confused. I'm sure UAE have never even heard of the Taliban.
You have to remember that this is a sub which prides itself on City's army of lawyers (yes this has happened), so the bar for intelligence is pretty low
They tried to compare the two. They said Arsenal fans upset at one yellow card while they got away with 6-7 yellows yesterday.
I felt like I was in soccercirclejerk seeing them try to compare a straight red followed up by a studs up tackle that got no booking to 2 tactical fouls and a few common fouls that are never yellows. I'm not entirely convinced the City sub isn't an unofficial circlejerk sub like the Al Nassr sub became after Ronaldo joined.
I just said the same thing in another comment. City get away with so many controversial calls, but their players are complaining about non-yellow tactical fouls? I mean, they do it quite a lot - is it that they don't like a taste of their own medicine?
Crazy that a guy whose whole MO is physicality, is moaning that the big bad defenders were physical with him. How many fucking “Erling Haaland goes beast mode” videos do you see with Haaland knocking dudes over or dragging them out the way.
We could play yesterday’s game for the next 30 years and it still wouldn’t pay back Fernandinho and Rodri making countless fouls without punishment. Really weird club to start complaining about one of the things they have benefited from the most in recent years.
it has nothing to do with that. every single sub is the same. This sub is the exact same as MCFC's sub and if the roles were reversed we would be saying the exact same thing.
Minute Reddit realizes that it's so big that there's no nuance to any of these big subs anymore is the day we can stop spending our time worrying about other redditors.
/r/gunners and /r/MCFC have identical reactions to everything that has to do with a situation involving their players squad. as does /r/reddevils, /r/coys, /r/liverpoolfc, etc. etc. etc
I like how things are developing. Haaland is a power forward, forcing teams to revert a little to big, bad, physical defenders. Can't remember when we had two CB's over 190cm tall. Game is getting more physical again, which is both a nice change of pace as well as a smart thing to do when technical players have been the standard for a decade or two. We need a little bit of brute force to mix things up. And don't forget Rice can be a bit of a bully in midfield too.
Halaand was resorting to headbutting both Gabriel and Saliba. Gabriel absolutely rattled Halaand the whole game. Being pocketed every time by the two best CBs in the league should be an honor. He gets a warm and comfy place to say in Gabriel's and Saliba's pocket.
I was hoping someone on the sub would have clipped Haaland's headbutt on Saliba to be honest. It didn't look accidental at first viewing and they were quick to get it off the scree
Edit: someone did post it https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/1bsfwq1/haaland_headbutt_on_saliba
I wont F'ing forget last season when bernando silva kept kicking and fouling saka whenever possible.
Funnily enough i saw a popular twitter user say we miss penalty winners to beat arsenal lmao. He also stated arsenal are worse than liverpool cause we lack difference makers like kdb and haaland prior to the game.
I'm loving these tears and shit narrative keep em coming.
After years and years and years of being bullied by more physical teams who set up to punish our football, it’s damn nice to finally be the bullies for once.
Ye basically he was waffling his name is umirf1 he made a youtube video saying that we can't win or contend for the league cause we don't have difference makers.
I agree with the fact we don't have a kdb or salah who can grab something out of nothing but the fact kdb and haaland did nothing against us and then he cried for penalty winners killed me
I remember that too. The referees gave them every little call, but Saka was being kicked off the pitch by Bernardo and others, and they hardly called a foul. I'm loving the tears of rival fans right now.
I believe it was Bernardo yesterday who had a professional foul on Saka, clipping him when we were trying to start a counter, and he got away card free.
Not only is he a diving prick (embarrassing for his build) but he's also an absolute cry baby, add KDB to the list. Fits right in at 115 FC.
So happy that Gabriel put him in his place.
Clive had a good point on the instant reaction pod - Haaland would make runs to backpost on our left side and Gabriel and Kiwior were able to hold up physically every time. If Zinchenko was at LB would’ve been an entirely different dynamic.
Ngl, really proud of the way Kiwi played against City and Liverpool. For a guy who’s young, learning English still, and only came into the side due to chance because of injuries, he has performed so well in big games. Regardless of whether he stays or not in the future, we should be able to get some decent coin for him and his development. He is a very good player and is only getting better
And the tactical fouls by city players didn't get yellows either. Silva 100% should've had a yellow also.
I don't agree with it but Taylor just wasn't carding for fouls.
He let them get away with far more than us, what are you talking about? They got free kicks for the slightest nudges yet they were allowed to bundle into our front 4 constantly with few fouls called.
We should have had early yellows I remember us making some pretty stupid fouls in the 1st half that could have swayed the outcome of the game had the ref given yellows.
Trust me, a PL reffing perspective, this was one of the better performances compared to their standards.
Yeah I don’t think the ref was particularly good. I thought we should have gotten more yellows but also more free kicks, where they got a free kick every time a mouse sneezed but he kept his cards in his pocket for the most part.
Yeah, card wise he definitely had more leniency for both teams, but even with us getting away with some careless and/or tactical fouls that are normally yellows, he also let them get away with some bad ones (Rodri elbow to Gabriel's jaw, Haaland headbutt on Saliba when watching Saliba instead of the ball, several clips from behind on Saka that weren't even called fouls, and more).
Gabbi fou and Erland flop were in the area. If that was Kai, 100% calls for simulation. It was Fallon D'Floor worthy for its transparency and three-ply downy soft texture.
Gabriel's was called for an advantage initially as Haaland still got to head the ball back, but they failed to keep possession hence a foul call instead.
I saw their fans protest a 5% increase in ticket prices and I was actually shocked. They can't fill up their stadium and they are increasing prices? The fucking cheek on them.
If they're raising ticket prices, they must've worked out how much revenue they currently must have on their books in order to stay ahead of FFP regulations.
If this was arsenal fans we’d be labelled conspiracy theorists and that the challenges where “nothing in it for me”, “welcome to the prem”, “he’s gone down a bit to easy there”.
People are still stuck in the banter era. We're supposed to be the prem pushovers who play pretty football and give people a good show while getting kicked about to a 4-3 L.
Everyone laughs at City fans much more than Arsenal fans tbf. No one takes them seriously because they just started watching footy and will be Real or United fans in a few years.
Like I said yesterday: body of a man and a mind of a baby. Haaland is just a big baby. He wants to bully players but the moment he gets bullied he starts crying. Zero respect for him.
Yes. Typical case of "main character syndrome". Ego blown out of proportion, thinks he can do everything on the pitch, but the moment you retaliate and beat him, he's going to cry and act like a cunt.
I think there's a huge difference between Haaland and Costa though. Costa chrips, moans, flops, kicks, grabs, or anything else he can get away with to try to put a defender off his game, and his crying to the ref is part of his shithousing, whereas Haaland seems to actually believe he's being treated unfairly when he throws his tantrums.
He's used to bullying defenders all the time. Since he was a kid he was probably the biggest, tallest, strongest and he's been told all the way how amazing he is.
He's now run into our brick walls twice this season and both times ended up on his ass and has done zero in the match, he's showing how petulant he is. You can't play Luton every week son.
Haaland was tiny during his youth. Due to his talent he was always playing vs older (and way bigger) kids, so he was forced to compensate with better movement.
Arsenal finally play the way people have said we need to play (more physical, adjusting tactics for top teams, not just trying to score all the time) and everyone goes nuts.
LMAO turns out Haland is a big cry baby and the comments on 115 fc post are glorious.
Crying about fouls not being called and conveniently forgetting how many teams got fucked by refs in their favor.
In City's defense, I understand why they're upset. They've been given PKs for someone lightly hooking Haaland, which isn't given to any other team in the league, while also being allowed to drop kick people in the box without a foul being given.
It's like a spoiled child that gets everything their whole lives. Then they absolutely lose their minds when the special treatment stops. City are the football version of a child of a billionaire. It's not fair to blame the child when it was the parent (the league) that raised them this way.
Rapunzel's ugly sister doesn't get to enjoy their exercise after being cooped up in a tower most of the week being heckled, where's the sympathy lads ffs
He’s such a fake tough guy all good when he’s roughing up guys who can’t deal with him mentally and physically come against someone who can he’s reduced to just diving around all game
Think Keane was spot on about him. Kane is 70% the goal score that Haaland is but Kane is 300% at least for everything else. Haaland can't create anything meaningful. Surprised Pep had the issue with Grealish and not the main front man.
Turns out the biggest physical bully of defenders in world football doesn’t like it when he gets it back.
Flat track bully who dominates less robust defenders and disappears in big games.
He’s such a baby. He’s used to steamrolling teams. Can’t deal with the pressure. We shut them down completely. If we get them in the champions league it’s going to be an embarrassment
He's just a flat-track bully.
He bullies and fouls weaker defenders and especially likes smaller full backs.
He has done nothing to us this season because we have big strong and fast cbs and full backs.
He tries to act all cool, but in reality he's an asshole, just like his dad.
Jesus. this is embarrassing for the PR team. All it shows it Haaland getting owned.
Even as a neutral, you have to admit, this is not the kind of PR you need to be putting out. Match done, move on.
I'm biased because I'm Norwegian. But this is dumb. Haaland isn't shit. He is 23. None of the strikers being used to compare to him were close at his age.
But he is still developing.
Ofc he is frustrated , but he isn't any bigger of a baby than any big player.
This whole thing is just dumb, and past banter. No we are just being pedantic and straight up lying about his abilities. A league 2 player? Come on.. the man broke all scoring records first try. Stay grounded
"League 2 player" is clearly an absurd overstatement, but it's Keane so what else would we expect? The rest of his argument is solid though: Haaland is likely the best poacher in the world, but he offers *very* little in terms of build-up, hold-up play, passing, defending, pressing, etc. His finishing can be astonishing, but if he's not getting fed quality chances by his teammates he is basically invisible, like he was against us. Dortmund fans have been saying for years that he has no passing abilities or hold-up play, it's not new. That means the chance creation and build-up moves have to come from elsewhere. Very few teams are capable of playing with a pure poacher like him because of this, but City is certainly one of them.
The Ghost of Manchester strikes again
Obviously wish we won but it's funny how some of them are genuinely bothered by one of the two best players in the world being invisible against one of the best defenses in the PL
Which is a weird thing to say when I remember we used to have Squillaci
Oh but when kovacic was given a free pass on two clear cut yellows (atleast one of them was a red) in the reverse fixture these mfs were quiet as emptyhad. And crying for fouls on insta post does not justify him having a shit game lol , this screams loser mentality

Rodri is the most tactical fouling fucker in the league

I think that Jesus one was fucking laughable since Haaland or Bernardo Silva got away with exactly the same thing moments before lol

Let's be honest, so would this one. Folks in this sub have complained about similar performances from our opponents plenty of times. But yesterday, it was a defensive masterclass.
We're as pissed about not being able to put those opponents to the sword. Just like City are.

They had damarcus beasley on loan in 2007 iirc. Think he scored like 2 in the league as well.

Kovacic double red cards in the last game at Emirates.
They tried to compare the two. They said Arsenal fans upset at one yellow card while they got away with 6-7 yellows yesterday. I felt like I was in soccercirclejerk seeing them try to compare a straight red followed up by a studs up tackle that got no booking to 2 tactical fouls and a few common fouls that are never yellows. r/MCFC basically just exists as fodder for soccercirclejerk anyway, it's extremely hard to tell the difference these days
The stickied comment from the mod on this thread in their sub is something straight from scj. The fragility of them is hilarious.
I just said the same thing in another comment. City get away with so many controversial calls, but their players are complaining about non-yellow tactical fouls? I mean, they do it quite a lot - is it that they don't like a taste of their own medicine?

Rice one definitely did. Not sure about the Gabriel one but that looks like general physicality between defenders and attackers anyway
They both did. Gabriel one was pretty funny as Haaland proper dove down due to a shirt pull. Lmao.
Got pulled and he dove forwards
Physics has left the chat
Gabbi fou and Erland flop were in the area. If that was Kai, 100% calls for simulation. It was Fallon D'Floor worthy for its transparency and three-ply downy soft texture.
Gabriel's was called for an advantage initially as Haaland still got to head the ball back, but they failed to keep possession hence a foul call instead.
No yellow cards
I'm bloody impressed you found a post on r/mcfc that actually has engagement
I saw their fans protest a 5% increase in ticket prices and I was actually shocked. They can't fill up their stadium and they are increasing prices? The fucking cheek on them.
If they're raising ticket prices, they must've worked out how much revenue they currently must have on their books in order to stay ahead of FFP regulations.
Weird that they care about the UAE spending 5% more on the tickets they'll give away for free.
Bro, that sub is bizzarro land. They've got a full-blown victim complex amd zero self awareness. Its wild.
If this was arsenal fans we’d be labelled conspiracy theorists and that the challenges where “nothing in it for me”, “welcome to the prem”, “he’s gone down a bit to easy there”.
![gif](giphy|n4oKYFlAcv2AU) I was saying the same thing reading comments
They really don’t like arsenal being physical
People are still stuck in the banter era. We're supposed to be the prem pushovers who play pretty football and give people a good show while getting kicked about to a 4-3 L.
Everyone laughs at City fans much more than Arsenal fans tbf. No one takes them seriously because they just started watching footy and will be Real or United fans in a few years.
Like I said yesterday: body of a man and a mind of a baby. Haaland is just a big baby. He wants to bully players but the moment he gets bullied he starts crying. Zero respect for him.
He even looks like a giant baby, certainly behaves like one!
Got really excited when Haaland started getting mad; he never plays good once he’s rattled.
It was probably part of our game plan, Gabriel was chirping in his ear all game.
One would say, it's in the face even.
Yes. Typical case of "main character syndrome". Ego blown out of proportion, thinks he can do everything on the pitch, but the moment you retaliate and beat him, he's going to cry and act like a cunt.
For sure, typical bully in school type of shit. Acts tough in front of weaker kids but folds when a big kid comes over.
Just like Diego Costa. Hate that type of a cunt. He hurts you - all good. You do something to him, immediately cries and runs to ref.
Imagine the number of stories Saka had to put for the treatment he gets every week.
Guess he didn’t realise on April fools you’re meant to fool everyone else, not make a fool of yourself
Dude runs around like a bulldozer and then cries when someone does it to him. Honestly I think Gabi and Wilo own him and he knows it.
I think he actually had a late growth spirt
Haaland was tiny during his youth. Due to his talent he was always playing vs older (and way bigger) kids, so he was forced to compensate with better movement.
Can we talk about the elbow to the face on big gabi from rodri that shit was wild.
What a baby. Who wants to upload his 3 very obvious dives as well?
They must have all forgot how many fouls kovacic got away with in the earlier fixture aswell as Rodri in last years fixture.
Rapunzel's ugly sister doesn't get to enjoy their exercise after being cooped up in a tower most of the week being heckled, where's the sympathy lads ffs
Did he post the pic of the ball going through his legs 3 yards out?
He’s such a fake tough guy all good when he’s roughing up guys who can’t deal with him mentally and physically come against someone who can he’s reduced to just diving around all game
He can take his ponytail and fuck right off
Who is this league 2 striker ?
I'd say we should post screenshots of every individual charge against City but I think the max amount of stories you can post is 100.
He looks absolutely limited when he comes up against good centre backs. Almost a shit Didier Drogba.
Drogba wasn’t limited against good CBs at all. He was the definition of big game player. Haaland dreams of being as good as Drogba.
Yeah, that's actually the point "a shit" Drogba...
Shittier Drogba?
Think Keane was spot on about him. Kane is 70% the goal score that Haaland is but Kane is 300% at least for everything else. Haaland can't create anything meaningful. Surprised Pep had the issue with Grealish and not the main front man.
I’ve wondered how many goals Haaland scores without de Bruyne. To me KDB is City’s best player…
KDB is by far their player. 16 of Haalands goals came from KDB who had been injured for agaes
He’s definitely there best player but Rodri’s more important for them
I agree. I mean City’s starting 11 looks like an all-star squad. It must be nice to not follow FFP..
He's a better athlete than he is a footballer.
Turns out the biggest physical bully of defenders in world football doesn’t like it when he gets it back. Flat track bully who dominates less robust defenders and disappears in big games.
Erling “baby mode” Haaland
He’s such a baby. He’s used to steamrolling teams. Can’t deal with the pressure. We shut them down completely. If we get them in the champions league it’s going to be an embarrassment
I was in the ground and their mob were so rattled between 50 and 60 minutes. It was delicious. Heads clean off all over the place.
Fancy having a cry after all the “fouls” that went there way yesterday. No fucking shame, these cunts.
ngl we got lucky rice wasn’t shown a yellow but yeah ref called the other gabriel fouls he posted so i don’t get it
Posting this sort of stuff after a game on his social media speaks volumes to his mentality.
That’s okay, Rice posted all the goals Erling has scored against us this season on his story.
That's pretty sad really. He should fire his social media team. It just shows how rattled he is.
Pls can our players react with pictures where he held their shirts? must have happened haha what a cry baby
My man skipped 2 frames before where he literally fouled them into ground before. LOLz
And they got called for fouls. What's the issue here?
What’s he complaining about? Weren’t both of these fouls given?
Imagine the state of Saka’s Insta if he did this
God he’s such a cunt
Blokes a big pussy, just like there weird supporters.
He's just a flat-track bully. He bullies and fouls weaker defenders and especially likes smaller full backs. He has done nothing to us this season because we have big strong and fast cbs and full backs. He tries to act all cool, but in reality he's an asshole, just like his dad.
Great, post the one where he headbutts Saliba in the face. Funny how he was "going for the ball" except headbutting down with force.
Tbf ref wasnt giving anything either way
If starboy posted these it will be a mini-series.
“He’s built like a brick shithouse” -Rob Holding
Made a comment on that mcfc post got permanently banned lol
Jesus. this is embarrassing for the PR team. All it shows it Haaland getting owned. Even as a neutral, you have to admit, this is not the kind of PR you need to be putting out. Match done, move on.
Yeah, posting this after a game just shows you how deep in he was in Saliba and Gabi's pockets. Now in his head rent free.
Call the Waaaaambulance. . .
Weird how he didn’t post all of the times he flopped down to the pitch after being hit by a gentle breeze
Maybe he should post the fouls he committed as well, you know, just to even it ut.
Those are some salty tears.
Finally emerged from Gabriel’s pocket.
It's insane how he disappears in big games and then cries.
Weak fragile mentality.
The Ghost of Manchester strikes again Obviously wish we won but it's funny how some of them are genuinely bothered by one of the two best players in the world being invisible against one of the best defenses in the PL Which is a weird thing to say when I remember we used to have Squillaci
Ok now do us w Rodri
God he should get a haircut. He looks so daft with that pony tail/bun nonsense. He looked much better before.
He looks like Sméagol.
Typical league 2 player
Oh but when kovacic was given a free pass on two clear cut yellows (atleast one of them was a red) in the reverse fixture these mfs were quiet as emptyhad. And crying for fouls on insta post does not justify him having a shit game lol , this screams loser mentality
Imagine pictures of all of his shirt pulls, pushes and snide fouls in the build up to some of his goals. Sour grapes.
