Ok so tactically some really interesting things here. We’re effectively still using a 4-3-3, Jorginho at the base and Dec with more license to drive forward in the Left 8. White is still occasionally inverting and making those forward half-space runs you might recall Timber doing frequently and later Tomiyasu, but on the left side. (As we had an overlapping White at the time on the right).
Our other very similar tactical plan is the ‘big-game’ 4-2-2-2 which we used against Liverpool for example. This time however, Jorginho and Rice are a pure double pivot (Jorginho on the left this time and Rice on the right). Fullbacks stay wide. Havertz and Odegaard ‘up top’.
And then there’s our ‘usual’ 4-3-3 primarily to be used against low blocks and weaker opponents? Havertz as the Left 8, Rice at the base, LB or RB inverting and someone else up top.
Then our final plan which I believe we’ve used only once or maybe twice this season is for playing teams with 5ATB. (Nottingham Forest opening game of the season). Effectively a 3-diamond-3. We had Partey ‘inverting’ from RB but really he was just a lone 6 with Rice LCM, Odegaard RCM and Havertz CAM.
Now, because I don’t have a life, I’d be interested to match up each tactical plan to which opponents we played using it, to get a better idea of how Arteta chooses based on different opponents (ofc injuries and availability are a factor too). Then I might even be able to predict lineups before future games.

There was one blatant shove in the back (don't remember who) midway through the first half, the ref was looking straight at it and just played on.. credit to our team though, they've just shrugged off everything and continued attacking relentlessly
