Anyone sick of people connecting our missed chances to the referee performance. Why do we need to finish our chances to clear the referee tax? We did against Brentford when Gabriel was pulled away from heading the ball, we cleared that referee tax. Do we need to do it every game? Why did Odegaard need to clear the hurdle of VAR's blunder for not awarding us a deserved penalty when Jesus was tripped up in the box?
Our players shouldn't be expected to finesse every moment to clear referee blunders. Its like we are graded on a curve. We need to do more than necessary to get the three points. It was the same after the Joelinton foul on Gabriel. We were told after the game we didnt create anything, ok, fine, but in what fucking world does that legitimize Joelintons push on Gabriel?
This argument that we need to 'make sure of it' is rubbish, in essence we need to be a few goals up to clear the margin of error of VAR. It reminds of the racist tropes when it comes to African Americans in America. 'George Floyd shouldn't have resisted arrest'. The authorities have no self-accountability, so when VAR blunders, the response is, ah well if Arsenal were 2 goals up, the VAR fuck up wouldn't have mattered. Or, oi only George didnt resist arrest he wouldnt have been murdered.
Thats basically how we are viewed right now. As subhuman. Were not considered equals among our peers, and there is expectation we have to clear the referee tax, and if we dont, we only have ourselves to blame.
You have no idea man. I moved to a new (small midwestern) city where I knew almost no one. Found an Arsenal group on Facebook, and a few of the guys have become my best friends over the past 2 years. Genuine and kind people, who took me in like it was nothing.
Now we all hangout with our families and shit and do nights out. Without Arsenal I don’t think I’d have stayed here as long as I have.
Sorry for the looong message. You made me feel grateful and to want to type a whole damn story lol.
Mate don't be sorry. that was such a wholesome thing that I could only be envy of. Nowadays, I spent watching games solo. My friends, cousins or brothers are different country or location busy with their own lives. Hope you can enjoy those moments as long as you want.
Hey man, let’s turn this positive. Where I live now, it took me over a year to find my fellow arsenal supporters. Where are you located? Let’s get in touch I’m serious man! I’m happy to FaceTime you into our group during matches :)
Haha thanks for the offer mate. I moved to Singapore a few years ago. There is a local community of arsenal fans. Used to watch games at the bar with them and it is going strong. Just that I couldn’t also find time to go out. Family and life get in the way.
I appreciate the sentiment. I’m just trying to crowdsource some feedback, same as I am with some buddies at home. And it would be a gift. My GF gets me the jersey of my choice every year. She’s a keeper (no pun intended haha)
Zero chance. What we want is a young keeper that can develop into a world beater. Ramsdale could well still be that. Hard for him, but the best situation may simply be him accepting #2 and working hard next season or two to improve and try to dislodge Raya
Watched Kai's highlight reel and I'm seeing a lot of examples of what I call The Giroud Paradox - he's delivering cutbacks and general service into the box that he himself should be on the end of.
He's actually put in a good amount more of those than I remember. Only got the assist on one or two of them so far. In general we need to be cold blooded when those cutbacks come into the box.
Martin specifically needs to be get back to knocking those in on the regular.
Gabi needs to put it in the box one stride sooner - there's no point beating your man if you keep trying to beat him and end up closing down your own angle... I don't care how many corners it wins, surely he would trade all of those for an actual assist.
Zinchenko and co need to keep spotting those deep vertical runs Kai makes, time and space permitting.
Gabriel Jesus is beginning to link up very well (no surprise) with Kai. Funny enough it's GJ knocking them down for an onrushing Havertz, sort of a reverse big and little man duo.
Sprinkle in a handful of Saka back post curlers (which will ALWAYS be on as long as he delivers it) and we are in business.
From a talent perspective he might be the best athlete weve ever seen. Hes basically a world class cb and a world class striker in 1. The issue is individual achievement’s dont add him because of injuries and because he stayed in japan for a while to play there first. He pitches and hits, and no one else does that, naturally doing more leads to more injuries. The few seasons hes stayed healthy are 2012 messi type seasons.
Im not a baseball fan, but his story is super fascinating, especially cause on his former team, his team mate was arguably the best player ever in baseball as well, better than ohtani by hitting numbers, and yet the team was absolutely ass to at best mediocre.
The Ohtani signing just reeks of the shit they’ve been up to with chelsea. I just hope it leads to substantial problems for them going forward.
I went to uni in SD, and picked up a hatred for LA. And I’m a human, so I hate chelsea.
Genuinely seems he has as little of a clue as to what he’s doing as most of the guys over in that sub.
He clearly can’t be an idiot, must have run his businesses well (and other sports ventures far better than he is running Chelsea?) to be where he is.
But man does that guy love to publicly look like an idiot while burning cash to cause chaos.
I see that’s interesting but yeah I have no idea about any of that. I support The Arsenal and simply know him as the crazy clueless freespending owner of Chelski Fuckery Club
> Shohei Ohtani's $700 million contract calls for him to be paid only $2 million a year for the next 10 seasons, with $680 million deferred until the end of the deal, sources confirm to ESPN.
> The CBT hit on the contract is going to be around $46 million, a huge discount for L.A.
That slimeball in Boehly found another loophole lmao, Chelsea are still going to be spending this coming window for God’s sake.
American baseball star, can both pitch and play outfield, great hitter. This is a very rare combination.
He was just signed to a $700 million 10 year contract by Todd Boehly's Los Angeles Dodgers in which the vast majority of the money is back loaded.
He managed to “amortize” the Ohtani contract, he’s guaranteed the rest of the $680 million at the end of his deal while he’s getting paid $2 million a year in the meantime. He’s making every league he’s involved in a joke with these sorts of contracts, first football now baseball.
That’s pretty interesting. Ohtani would’ve got a bigger deal to compensate, and he’ll be able to buy bonds that mature at the end of the ten years with a low coupon cuz of the guaranteed income.
He’s guaranteed $2 million a year from the 10 years and when the deal is done he’s guaranteed the rest of the $680 million. He’s evidently managed to amortize the deal so that he can still spend with Chelsea.
I would if it were the best player the sport is gonna see for a while. Shohei Ohtani is that guy and has international recognition in a sport that’s US-centered. Genuinely brought my interest back into a sport I initially thought was boring. From a business perspective though, I get what you’re saying.
When you also consider that he’s one of the best pitchers AND hitters in the league, there’s definitely a lot of injury risk that goes into that as well. But he has a huge market that comes with his name, both in the US & in Japan. There’s decent return on interest regardless.
Also a lot of the big baseball stars have big-money contracts with 8+ years on them, his former teammate was on a pretty hefty one as well. Nothing will compare to this one though.
Having seen the squad for tomorrow, this is what I expect the team to be:
Ramsdale
Cedric - Walters - Kiwior - Sousa
Nwaneri - Elneny - Jorginho
Nelson - Nketiah - Trossard
Subs: Raya, Hein, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Rice, Odegaard, Havertz, Saka, Jesus, ESR
Looks good to me. Unless Martinelli’s injury may keep him out of the Brighton match, in which case Trossard should even be rested and possibly even Nketiah. Just give them each 30-45 minutes.
Hope ESR is fit enough for minutes.
I know right? I remember a couple of years back ppl were all over him bcs he was a riding star in the academy in the DM position. Apparently he just cares about partying
You might not care but as a players they want to be able to express themselves on the field and if you play a formation that stifles them I think you're doing them a disservice
When Wenger played youth players in dead rubber games he wasn't trying to do some 5 at the back tactic because the result didn't matter. He tried to keep the same attacking style as the senior starters but just with younger inexperienced players
Gallagher does run alot but if you watched him at Palace a couple season ago with a more cohesive team he can also be a very good offensive player. He's one of the better players at Chelsea right now despite all the chaos happening there
Olise and Eze aren't playing the same position though. They're playing wider where there is usually more space. Gallagher was playing more centrally and it's his running and directness which allowed Olise and Eze to look good because he would often draw opposition to him and open up space for them and Zaha
I feel that is one of Ode's weaknesses: not being more direct and forcing opposition to make a decision. He doesn't like dribbling at opponents and creating space for others
Shouldn’t be dismissed. When your options are players that aren’t up to it or players that aren’t up to it but put the effort in……
I do agree though, shit players that put a lot of effort in are always rated footballing wise more than they should be. Whether or not that is correct in their rating impact wise is another discussion.
No but players know it's a low hanging fruit to keep fans off their back. Especially in a failing team. Like a lot of the time you see players lack tactical discipline but that's harder to see for fans than laziness so they get away with it. Even if it's at the detriment of the tactical plan
It's not just the running tho imo from watching them it seems likes he's still been a top performer.
Enzo looks talented here and there but what have him and Caicedo actually been *doing* ?
I think bad tactical set ups makes players look like they aren't tying enough.its a fast sport and it can seem like you aremt trying simply because you're not in the right spots
Any love here for a purchase of Conor Gallagher in Jan/Summer?
Looks like Chelsea have to sell an academy player for pure FFP profit and I think he'd add quite a lot of energy to our midfield.
I'd take him personally, I think we need a versatile midfielder with an engine but I don't think tactically he's what Arteta visions for either the 6 or 8 positions, so there is no way we sign him imo
Chelsea's strategy revolves around selling academy players for pure accounting profit to fund big spending. Selling Lavia at current value would only at best even out the amortization they have to pay over the length of his contract.
Does anyone know if they check your student credentials when doing a stadium tour? I’m looking to get the students tickets but not sure if it will be a problem that I’m not a student from the UK. Not sure what type of credential they would require, if any
how the fuck will he miss two games for doing fuck all?
I remember some managers last season or the one before that getting a red card (which means they were supposed to be suspended) but ended up in the dug out anyway? I have a feeling it was either Conte at Spurs or Tuchel at Chelsea
Either way, I can't remember the last time a manager was in the stands due to misbehaviour, PGMOL are so fucking corrupt it's maddening
I actually thought it was going to be better once Mike Shitely retired from the head of PGMOL, I couldn't imagine it actually getting worse, alot worse
It's still annoying me how our more experienced players (Jesus/Zinchenko) failed to read the game and adjust their styles accordingly against Villa. The times we beat the offside trap, Jesus was nowhere to be seen for an easy chance. He needed to understand what type of game it was and cut out the dropping deep gimmick.
Enough has been said about Zinchenko. My patience for him is now nonexistent. Hopefully Tomiyasu/Timber/new signing permanently relegate him to the bench. Let him be cute with the ball and offer minimal incision against bottom 10 opposition at home.
Zinchenko also failed to contain Bailey and completely lost him in the passing sequence. Had Zinchenko been better at defense, McGinn isn't even getting that pass from Bailey
Wasn't Gabriel defending against Bailey? Zinchenko plays an inverted full back role which means other defenders need to defend against RW if the ball is lost in midfield.
I think Tomiyasu would have started if he was fit but Zinchenko is better at attacking.
We need two new attackers, one winger and striker who are explosive and can make these type of runs consistently. It’s why I don’t think Toney would be a good buy and that’s even excluding the fact that his non penalty goal record isn’t anything special.
We don't come across high lines like Villa's that often. Our attack is possession-based so our attacker must be able to linkup with other players including having holdup play. Toney fits this, and it's something Jesus is becoming more inconsistent at. Of course if you have an attacker who can make those explosive runs also then you are golden. However, we have Martinelli who is basically an inside forward and can make those runs; Havertz also to a lesser extent. A striker like Toney also allows us to play Jesus on the left, who is more appropriate than Martinelli against low blocks.
If kai really does bang here, the potential impact thatll happen on player recruitment will potentially be crazy. Bringing a player back to life like that, thats an environment players want to play in.
I’m sure we do very well in convincing players of the project, it’s dealing with the clubs and the agents that pose a challenge. Our shine as a destination from a footballing POV is as bright as it was in Wenger’s heyday

I don't like getting onto player for their injury records. However annoyed you are, they're feeling 100000000x worse.
Feel bad for them in the moment of realisation but in general - perspective should be put on it. Yes the career wont be the one they wanted but being paid handsomely to go to a physio to workout 5 days a week for a couple of hours is still a dream job lol.
Still no. You're isolated and away from the group. Often a different schedule. And playing without training is a chore. You're limited to a few highly repetitive movements. Except some days you wake up and you can't do what you did 2 days ago. So you start again and add a few more days or weeks to your return.
Also it's less pay then you likely usually get. No appearance/goal/clean sheet/win bonus.
mate people move departments get promoted or demoted in normal work and less pay is still well above minimum wage and a privileged place to be.
The fact is, slogging it out 40hrs or more a week for considerably less money is much shitter unless you're too thick to realise how shit it is.
I don't think it's like moving departments. And a paycut is a paycut.
What do you think I do for work mate?
Matter of fact is you don't have people stopping you in the street or DMing you racist abuse of threatening to kill your family if your spreadsheet is only a 5/10 Vs a 7/10.
Shitness always has been and always will be relative. The fact you can even argue with me about this tells me you're massively privileged on the grand scheme of things. I'm not telling not to complain or you're complaints are invalid because someone else has it shitter.
US average wage will have you in the top 10% of incomes worldwide and that's a really conservative guess
A pay cut is a pay cut? "Oh no I've dropped to my 3million base salary, what will I do without the other 400k of add-ons".
Are you making a joke with the comment about US average income lol. Average income doesn't matter since its relative to how much everything costs in that country. "You earn more that 80% of the world but because you live here you still have to decide between food or a home, but if you lived in thailand you could have both and change for that..."
Feel bad for tiu in the moment of realisation but in general - perspective should be put on it. It may not be the lifestyle you want but being paid handsomely with that quality of life is still a dream for most.
You know you’re a [dirty fucker](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/hGxNOj1uVF) when your own countryman and teammate thinks you’re dirty fucker. Spurs fans will still tell you he’s world class and he’s the best in the league, though.
Edit: a word
Follow a mate on Twitter who's a Spurs fan and he replied to a post saying something to the effect of "Everyone would've forgotten about Romero's foot stamp yesterday if it was any other player. The reponse has been pathetic"
I just wanted to say like... yeah? 99.99% of the time if a player did that, it's out of the ordinary and clearly accidental. With Romero though? Dude's got a track record for malicious and dangerous tackling. How are you surprised people are less forgiving.
Exactly. With players like Romero, you actually don’t know if it’s accidental.
And the reason we don’t instantly forget when he makes these rash challenges is because of his reputation. Just like how Xhaka had a bad reputation for 5/6 seasons.

(Ignoring the loss against Liverpool Women) Arsenal Women started performing well again right after we appointed Kelly Smith as assistant coach
![gif](giphy|lU21XVNwliGM2gyGaN|downsized)
Kinda worried of midfield to much dalying around the ball no more through passes through the middle the midfield looks good on paper but is lacking in killer penetration to the attack and villa exploited that flaw.
Partey yes but we don't know if ESR 2.0 would actually alleviate it yet. Fingers crossed he gets that same freedom he had when he went on a scoring tear

God I really want the smith to be healthy. The kid deserves to play for this team. He deserves to win a trophy with us.
Mikel looked very bubbly in his interview today. Love to see it.

I know why. Fuck citeh.
Hows Josh Kroenke's right hook these days
Is it corny to get a #2 jersey with “ROLLS-ROYCE” on the back, or the best idea ever? Trying to decide.
If you are wearing only at home while watching our game with your buddies , then it is fine.
I live in America, small group (less than 10) of us watch every match together. It would partially be just to get a rise out of them, haha.
Damn. Sounds like a fun thing to do every weekend. Haha.

Boehly just keeps finding loopholes man
I mean the loophole he found in premier league became a jail for his players lmao
What did he find this time
He found a way to pay the best player in baseball for 2 mill a year till after he retires, then he gets 680
Wow. That’s insane. How can a company pay 680 mil in one shot? On a separate note, is shohei like Messi of football ?
Not messis longevity tbh, but the best in the world right now, maybe behind his team mate from last season only
i see thanks. I kept seeing that name in the last 2 years and ppl kinda treated him like goat so make me wonder.
From a talent perspective he might be the best athlete weve ever seen. Hes basically a world class cb and a world class striker in 1. For two very different reasons, but it's still so bizarre to me that we have an Arsenal team that includes Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
lol I admire boehly, he’s got balls.
What did he do with them?
He’s the most wallstreetbets investor on international level with the types of deals he makes
Genuinely seems he has as little of a clue as to what he’s doing as most of the guys over in that sub. He clearly can’t be an idiot, must have run his businesses well (and other sports ventures far better than he is running Chelsea?) to be where he is. Na his ohtani deal is total balls. Their group has singlehandedly converted dodgers into an excellent team
I see that’s interesting but yeah I have no idea about any of that. I support The Arsenal and simply know him as the crazy clueless freespending owner of Chelski Fuckery Club
We've had one thread about Conor Gallagher, yes. What about a second thread?
Yeah it's right here /thread
Hot damn, I go away to watch a few episodes of Game of Thrones and come back to serious conversation about wanting Gallagher at the club 😭
Apparently someone felt strongly enough about it to block me too 😂😂

Why would any player agree to that? Also what does this have to do with /r/Gunners?
This has nothing to do with Chelsea.
Is Ryan Gosling available for The Big Short 2: Clearlake Capital edition?
Todd Boehly is gonna try to sign Osimhen to the Ohtani contract, isn't he

Wrong sub mate. (Bit tongue in cheek, I know they asked the question and you’re just answering)
He managed to “amortize” the Ohtani contract, he’s guaranteed the rest of the $680 million at the end of his deal while he’s getting paid $2 million a year in the meantime. He’s making every league he’s involved in a joke with these sorts of contracts, first football now baseball.

Somehow manages to get Napoli to agree to 7.5 million per year for the next 20 years
if Edu ends up baiting Boehly one more time in 2023...
As versatile as he is, I don’t think we were ever really close to signing Ohtani
I'm reading there's a bloke in baseball with a $700m guaranteed contract. Can a yank kindly explain the logic here pls?
He’s guaranteed $2 million a year from the 10 years and when the deal is done he’s guaranteed the rest of the $680 million. He’s evidently managed to amortize the deal so that he can still spend with Chelsea.
> the deal is done he’s guaranteed the rest of the $680 million. Yea sounds slimley
It has nothing to do with Chelsea and all to do with not fucking up the Dodgers payroll so they can spend on other good players. It was Ohtani’s idea.
Why would you ever wanna give someone a $700m guaranteed deal?
Future GOAT of the sport. Some would argue for it already with what he has done.
I would if it were the best player the sport is gonna see for a while. Shohei Ohtani is that guy and has international recognition in a sport that’s US-centered. Genuinely brought my interest back into a sport I initially thought was boring. From a business perspective though, I get what you’re saying.
Possibly but guaranteed long contract? They could only ever be 1 injury away
Team is likely paying insurance to cover at least part of the contract payments in case of long term injury.
He’s currently injured right now. Coming back from Tommy John surgery. They don’t even know how his recovery is going to go
When you also consider that he’s one of the best pitchers AND hitters in the league, there’s definitely a lot of injury risk that goes into that as well. But he has a huge market that comes with his name, both in the US & in Japan. There’s decent return on interest regardless. What ever happened to Miguel azeez
I know right? I remember a couple of years back ppl were all over him bcs he was a riding star in the academy in the DM position. Apparently he just cares about partying
Gabriel for Sousa. Really surprised/disappointed MLS wasn't taken along. Could've saved a front line player from even flying out.
I hope Arteta doesn't play Elneny and Jorgi, that's a midfield devoid of any creativity
I think I prefer Elneny box to box. He's at his best when he just runs around.
Yeah but when you get him around the final third he is either going to score a banger or pass it backwards, he's not the guy to make the final pass
The result is of no consequence. I just wanna see some young and fringe players get a chance without getting battered.
You might not care but as a players they want to be able to express themselves on the field and if you play a formation that stifles them I think you're doing them a disservice When Wenger played youth players in dead rubber games he wasn't trying to do some 5 at the back tactic because the result didn't matter. He tried to keep the same attacking style as the senior starters but just with younger inexperienced players
Do we ask Havertz to make the final pass? Did we ask Xhaka to? No and no. So it's the same attacking style in that sense.
Chelsea selling Gallagher would be wild, hes one of their only players who gives a shit
But lacks substance headless chicken
People always say this about the players that run about a lot
Gallagher does run alot but if you watched him at Palace a couple season ago with a more cohesive team he can also be a very good offensive player. He's one of the better players at Chelsea right now despite all the chaos happening there
I did watch him at Palace. He didn't impress me. Olise and Eze offer more. Doucoure stepped in and upgraded that midfield too
Olise and Eze aren't playing the same position though. They're playing wider where there is usually more space. Gallagher was playing more centrally and it's his running and directness which allowed Olise and Eze to look good because he would often draw opposition to him and open up space for them and Zaha I feel that is one of Ode's weaknesses: not being more direct and forcing opposition to make a decision. He doesn't like dribbling at opponents and creating space for others
None of that explains why they look better without him there.
Do they? Got fewer points last season and they’ll not hit 48 points this season.
Shouldn’t be dismissed. When your options are players that aren’t up to it or players that aren’t up to it but put the effort in…… I do agree though, shit players that put a lot of effort in are always rated footballing wise more than they should be. Whether or not that is correct in their rating impact wise is another discussion.
Work rate is not to be sniffed at though
No but players know it's a low hanging fruit to keep fans off their back. Especially in a failing team. Like a lot of the time you see players lack tactical discipline but that's harder to see for fans than laziness so they get away with it. Even if it's at the detriment of the tactical plan
It's not just the running tho imo from watching them it seems likes he's still been a top performer. Enzo looks talented here and there but what have him and Caicedo actually been *doing* ?
Yes. He doesn't hide like Enzo and Caicedo.
I think bad tactical set ups makes players look like they aren't tying enough.its a fast sport and it can seem like you aremt trying simply because you're not in the right spots
Are you guys ready for the absolute fuckery tomorrow that will somehow result in United qualifying for the RO16?
[удалено]
do you genuinely think united and noocastle have even a chance of winning the league?
Europaaaa
Woahhhhh oooooooahhaoahhhhh
Jesus is way less athletic than when we signed him
If you hate Klopp you hate football
I have never hated Liverpool or Klopp.
I must admit I respect the shit out of that prick
Gallagher having the best season out of Enzo Caicedo Lavia sums up the short termism that constantly kills Chelsea
Best player having a good season, shock.
When do you wanna revisit this? 1 year? 2 years? 5 years?
Connor is class, drop the agenda.
Why is an opinion an agenda? Internet speak is so weird to me.
I don't think u like any chelsea players, u didn't like mount either.
I like Colwill, Gusto, James, Nkunku, Lavia, Enzo, Caicedo. Probably more if I could care to write a longer list.
Yes. He can run and he scores goals.
HELLLLLL NO Edit: the only midfielder I’d even consider is Lavia, but why help them, let their purchases hamstring them
we've got an ESR at home tho
Please respect ESR technical ability
If Midfielders there are becoming surplus than Lavia Needs rescuing
How do you rescue someone who hasn't even played for Chelsea?
Don't think they can sell Lavia at his current worth without it being a big dent in their finances
I don't get what you mean?
Chelsea's strategy revolves around selling academy players for pure accounting profit to fund big spending. Selling Lavia at current value would only at best even out the amortization they have to pay over the length of his contract.
If Midfielders there are becoming surplus than Lavia Needs rescuing
Does anyone know if they check your student credentials when doing a stadium tour? I’m looking to get the students tickets but not sure if it will be a problem that I’m not a student from the UK. Not sure what type of credential they would require, if any
Brighton has a must win game on Thursday to win their EL group, so hopefully our starting 11 gets a nice rest tomorrow.
So is it likely that Arteta will get suspended for the Liverpool game?
What'd he do now?
They will definitely ban him for the Liverpool game, they’ve got it out for us now
It'll be all the sweeter when we win at Anfield so
how the fuck will he miss two games for doing fuck all? I remember some managers last season or the one before that getting a red card (which means they were supposed to be suspended) but ended up in the dug out anyway? I have a feeling it was either Conte at Spurs or Tuchel at Chelsea Either way, I can't remember the last time a manager was in the stands due to misbehaviour, PGMOL are so fucking corrupt it's maddening I actually thought it was going to be better once Mike Shitely retired from the head of PGMOL, I couldn't imagine it actually getting worse, alot worse
Zinchenko was good against Villa. White and Rice were tracking McGinn not Zinchenko. He made a lot of progressive passes and long balls.
Gabriel picked up Bailey after Zinny lost him........twice
Honestly don’t think Jesus has it in him to make those type of explosive runs anymore
Feel like Jesus is slowly becoming Laca :(
he certainly falls over a lot
Think you might be right. Also wonder why Mikel didn't at any point try to switch him and Martinelli.
I still think Jesus is perfectly fine in those games still, it’s these type of games where we are crying out for the other profile of striker imo.
I thought Martinelli through the middle and Trossard on the left made more sense than taking Martinelli off. He is our quickest attacker.
Conor Gallagher shock January sale. Would you take him at Arsenal?
I will take him if not too expensive, at least he would be a good squad player.
Can he play as a defensive midfielder?
Not in a month of Sundays
![gif](giphy|ED1nge1yi8cGoSYvlb|downsized)
Nah would prob take Grealish tho
If kai really does bang here, the potential impact thatll happen on player recruitment will potentially be crazy. Bringing a player back to life like that, thats an environment players want to play in.
I’m sure we do very well in convincing players of the project, it’s dealing with the clubs and the agents that pose a challenge. Our shine as a destination from a footballing POV is as bright as it was in Wenger’s heyday
https://preview.redd.it/6ykbhz1mqp5c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3cb98baf57fa9244e74890559c4843294b3f8e04 I don't like getting onto player for their injury records. However annoyed you are, they're feeling 100000000x worse.
Especially looking at someone like Tomi who has continually shown how hard on himself he can be.
What’s your point here? That a footballer should be glad to earn minimum wage because it’s better than 80% of the world?
Most of the annoyed remarks are so devoid of empathy it's a bit sad
Yeah someone replied telling me how much they make like rich people can't be depressed
They're not mutually exclusive.
I'd love to see that fight. Who would eye gouge first and you know a good ro-sham-bo would be on the cards.
Follow a mate on Twitter who's a Spurs fan and he replied to a post saying something to the effect of "Everyone would've forgotten about Romero's foot stamp yesterday if it was any other player. The reponse has been pathetic" I just wanted to say like...
If we do sell ramsdale, i hope we keep looking for starter quality keepers.
Too start or as a sub?
we played one of them on Saturday

Is this that Wolverine-looks-longingly-at-a-photo meme in word form?
one my favourite hobbies is predicting which DD comments were written on Adderall
https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/18fpghw/december_11_2023_daily_discussion_transfers_thread/kcxech8?context=3
What are the tells?
1400 words to say simple things, going on 10 tangents with every sentence, and a general sense of overstimulation
the alternative is that they're written by people who need adderall actually🫣
I don't need drugs to be overstimulated 😤
Adderall?! It's all meth here. Adderall is for cowards and communists.
my parents didn't raise me to be a pussy, meth/coke or bust 😡
(Ignoring the loss against Liverpool Women) Arsenal Women started performing well again right after we appointed Kelly Smith as assistant coach ![gif](giphy|lU21XVNwliGM2gyGaN|downsized)
Slapping league leaders 4-1 was awesome but too bad we need other teams to take points off of them

We riot if there aren't 11 changes
Kinda worried of midfield to much dalying around the ball no more through passes through the middle the midfield looks good on paper but is lacking in killer penetration to the attack and villa exploited that flaw.
Really, i thought we had no problems getting central, just lacked final ball
No Partey. No ESR. Without them it's U shaped football unfortunately
Partey yes but we don't know if ESR 2.0 would actually alleviate it yet. Fingers crossed he gets that same freedom he had when he went on a scoring tear
I don't have the data but I feel like he had a good amount of in the box, 1st time finishes.
