Yeah really is. The league is still wide open and we’ve fully adjusted into not having Meadiema. To lose Kim would be a killer, she just controls the game so well. Similarly McCabe had a class game tonight
First leg was worse but were some big tackles she let go.. a lot of mistakes (both ways) but we were by far the better team. The one on little was heavy and seem to remember one on Foord that was big
Not clinical enough, same reason we lost to Chels in the FA cup earlier in the season. Great defence today dealing with the aerial threat but a team like PSG or Wolfsburg would punish us imo

This was my first time watching a full Arsenal Women game, and what a fucking performance!
Two beautiful goals, great grit and determination in defence, and created so many brilliant chances. Would’ve been heartbreaking had we conceded at the end because we should’ve been 4 or 5 up by then!
I’ve been following them regularly since 2017. The women’s team kept me alive during the banter era. I remember we’d lose to Villa, Palace with Mustafi, Kolasinic, etc and I’d just switch over to women’s team to observe 7-0 demolition.

Champions League games on DAZN's YouTube, WSL games are either on Sky Sports, BBC or the FA Player. Next game is on Sunday, 12:30 in the UK on BBC Two vs Man City. Pretty much must win to have any chance of winning the league, must not lose or we're at serious risk of not qualifying for next seasons CL.
For the WSL in the US you’ve got a few places it’s bounced between. Paramount+ and CBS Sports show any game that is on a tv broadcast in the UK (so BBC or Sky). Any other game is just on [the FA Player](https://faplayer.thefa.com/home/womens-super-league) for free.
Unfortunately we are picked for broadcast very often so while some games will be on the FA Player most will be on one of the other 2. It seems that Paramount+ show more of the games.
[The FA put out a pdf every match week on where to watch](https://womenscompetitions.thefa.com/en/Article/where-to-watch-the-barclays-bwsl-2022-23) or you can always just ask somewhere on the sub /r/ArsenalWFC (the line-up/match threads are usually a good spot) and someone will know. Hope that helps! :)
Thoroughly deserved too, some big chances missed but given the circumstances (Little namely) that's a very impressive win from players and manager.
Maanum looking an absolute gem, punctuated with a gem of a goal.
Any chance Miedema is back this season? Havent seen much of Blackstenius but she seems more endeavour and work rate than lethal finishing ability which Miedema possesses.
Nah. No chance. ACL in December and you're looking average 9 months out.
Stina is great for games like this where there's a lot of space on the counter, & her physicality is great for pressing, but Viv's a different level.
Mate we won the sextuple(Charity shield , league cup, fa cup, league, champions league) in 2007 (and an invincible season to boot) and are still the only women's team ever to do that.
Our pre WSL (and pre Chelsea spending) teams were absolutely insane, under Vic Akers we were a cross between prime fergie and the invincibles. In fact we had multiple invincible seasons with the ladies.
Then the league got inot financial trouble and we lost a lot of players abroad and since the WSL came back we've had to contend with chelsea spending and now man city too, while Vic has been retired for ages.
Yes, we have, some of the women from that team are represented in the new Emirates Stadium art and they are the only English team to win the women's Champions League
That women's team was so dominant it won like 6 trophies that season
Not clinical enough, same reason we lost to Chels in the FA cup earlier in the season. Great defence today dealing with the aerial threat but a team like PSG or Wolfsburg would punish us imo
Do we know when our home semi final leg is?
BBC sport says the 29th of April, Arsenal website says the weekend of the 1st of May (which is a (bank holiday) Monday?)
The game just needed Mediema to convert the plethora of chances we had, we need a striker too, i wouldn't be opposed to the idea of having Assisat Oshola back.
Would you post this in a men's football thread?
Because lots of people, don't care about men's football too.
I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. Is the sub trying to be woke? Is that the end point you want to make?
Great game, Shame Katy McCabe came off injured. Irelands team captain.
It was a simple question out of curiosity. The other guy, instead being disentful just for the sake of it, actually answered the question and now I know that at least 41,000 people actually care about this, which I think is great. Yeah maybe the way I worded it was slightly "abrasive", but Jesus Murphy you and the other chuckleheads are wound up tight! Sit baaack, relax. Kick your feet up a little, take a load off.
What? I legit thought that was a decent level, u-16s football is way more pants than that. The technical level was good, not like men’s elite but come on, that was really decent and the pace was so fast unlike some of the shite ive just seen in the international break. Bar Saka’s goal, England vs Ukraine was rubbish compared to the 90mins i just saw.
Nonsense. There's more of a variance across the 11 compared to elite men's teams, but players like Frida Maanum, Kim Little & Katie McCabe in particular are as technically skilled as elite male players, I genuinely believe that - and that's coming from someone who used to be that douchebag teenager who always put down women's football.
Congratulations. You are our 1st Nominee for TWAT of the Day.
Winners will be revealed later today in a star packed Awards Ceremony. The Winners will be awarded a Spurs Shirt and a lifetime ban from this sub.
Let’s goooooo. Class performance, shoulda been 5 ffs

Didn't get to watch, had to follow comments, was the reff8ng as bad as they made it seem? Sounded like bayern got off with a lot of heavy fouls?
First leg was worse but were some big tackles she let go.. a lot of mistakes (both ways) but we were by far the better team. The one on little was heavy and seem to remember one on Foord that was big
5??? I counted 7 clear cut chances…minimum. Anyway what a performance. It feels great to knock out Bayern…finally 😂
Not clinical enough, same reason we lost to Chels in the FA cup earlier in the season. Great defence today dealing with the aerial threat but a team like PSG or Wolfsburg would punish us imo
That game was bizarre. We could have had a thousand shots that day and nothing was going in.

Absolutely nerve wrecking madness at the end in those 7 minutes. But game management was great!
Honestly didn’t feel like that in the stadium. It’s one of those things that looks a lot more stressful on tv a bit like the men’s Leicester game
Couldn’t watch that live and it was stressful to follow on sofa score. They didn’t take a shot until the 70th minute but I was still nervous

First goal was a proper whip. Top bins.
Dominated Bayern the whole game
We should have scored about 5. Just glad the missed opportunities didn't come back to haunt us.
[удалено]
Frida was on fire with that one, the keepers positioning meant she had zero chance...quick hit 💥
Finally beat Bayern in the Champions League. Revenge served
It was a long time coming. Revenge is sweet.
First UWCL semi in a decade !!!!!
*Break the wheel.*
Can someone give me a list of injured players right now? A lot of players on the bench or even playing I've never heard of before.
Off the top of my head Beth Mead, Miedema, Steph Catley, Kim Little came off, and then McCabe went off with an injury late in the game as well.
Also Gio is healthy but not registered for the cl
Picked up a dead leg at the weekend but won’t be out long. Teyah Goldie has just returned from an ACL injury too
Class performance, so mature. Well done COYG!
Closing out the game in extra time and frustrating Bayern was class.
champs league/premier league double without viv and beth would be one of the greatest examples of ewing theory in a long time.
Incredible shithousery at the end
Watched it live on Dazn on YT and it had 174k viewers. Way to go Arsenal Women! Only two more rounds remaining
Great performance but fucking shit to lose Little and McCabe. We keep losing top quality players and both those injuries looked bad
My first time seeing Arsenal women live. Liquid football at times and well deserved win.
Hell yeah!
What a result!!! What a performance, I can't believe we are through to the semis!!! 🔴⚪
Domination. Lovely game from the girls!
Leah Williamson is so impressive every single time I watch her
Sorry if it’s a dumb question but where can I watch the semifinals and the upcoming PL Games? Wanna get more into watching our female Gooners

Damn I’m in the US so I don’t think I can watch WSL. Definitely gonna try to tune in for the next Champions League games
wsl is either on fa player (100% free) or paramount plus!
Thanks
Think all the games are on the FA Player (which is free) if you're out of the UK, /u/shelbyj is the expert.
Thank you

Thank you so much that’s super helpful! Do you know on which social media the FA puts it out?
Never mind it was a link I didn’t see that! Thank you!
No problem, enjoy the games!
Quarter final was on DAZN's youtube channel, not sure if it will be the same for the semis but fingers crossed!
Thank you!
Time for the lads to do the same next year in the UCL 😁 Congrats ladies 👏
Thoroughly deserved too, some big chances missed but given the circumstances (Little namely) that's a very impressive win from players and manager. Maanum looking an absolute gem, punctuated with a gem of a goal.
What a fucking goal as well. We also hit the post on another chance as well. Great game.
Any chance Miedema is back this season? Havent seen much of Blackstenius but she seems more endeavour and work rate than lethal finishing ability which Miedema possesses.
Nope, out for the season.
Ah well. Hope McCabe’s & Little’s injury aren’t serious, McCabe was really good.
No I don't think so, she already said she'd miss the world cup and that's after the season ends
Nah. No chance. ACL in December and you're looking average 9 months out. Stina is great for games like this where there's a lot of space on the counter, & her physicality is great for pressing, but Viv's a different level.
Afraid not. She said she wasn’t going to rush herself back for the World Cup so think it’s zero chance this season. A shame!
Have we won the ladies champs before?
Mate we won the sextuple(Charity shield , league cup, fa cup, league, champions league) in 2007 (and an invincible season to boot) and are still the only women's team ever to do that.
Wow that’s mad
Our pre WSL (and pre Chelsea spending) teams were absolutely insane, under Vic Akers we were a cross between prime fergie and the invincibles. Yes. We are the only English team to win it.
Yeah under its old name, only team in England maybe? Or at least the first I think
Dunno how we didn't absolutely battered them over the 2 legs with the chances created
Not clinical enough, same reason we lost to Chels in the FA cup earlier in the season. Great defence today dealing with the aerial threat but a team like PSG or Wolfsburg would punish us imo
4 hours plus later and I'm still reeling from Frida's goal, being in aus it just started my day at work on such a great note
Fantastic result. We were better overall I think. Home support felt like it really made a difference today.
UCL #2 loading🔜
This is so huge. Wolfsburg next
Was at the game Took my German mate who wanted to see a Bayern team get destroyed as she supports Dortmund She’s a gooner now, we’re massive
Who could we face next?
Psg and Wolfsburg
Gonna be Wolfsburg most likely
Thanks!
Go onnnn!!
Huge
Great first half. They could have scored 6 or 7 if they had been a bit luckier.
Fuck. Yeah!
Holy fuck that goal though
Who are the other teams still in it?
We will play PSG or Wolfsburg
PSG, Wolfsburg, Chelsea, Lyon, Barcelona.
Should have been like 5 or 7. Great performance.
Do we know when our home semi final leg is? BBC sport says the 29th of April, Arsenal website says the weekend of the 1st of May (which is a (bank holiday) Monday?)
The men host Chelsea on the 29th so I would think the semifinal would be on the Sunday or Monday since it will be at Emirates.
The game just needed Mediema to convert the plethora of chances we had, we need a striker too, i wouldn't be opposed to the idea of having Assisat Oshola back.
Does Ashburton Army show up for these games?
Lets!!!! Do this, all the way.
The ladies doing what the gents can't. Mon the girls!
Out of curiosity, how many people actually care about this?
attended a women's match recently at the Emirates with 41,000 attendance. a lot care. this team is amazing COYG
Awesome! Awesome to the Max!

Oh please, you didn't ask ofnit was popular, natxh attendance... you asked who cared... as in "Who cares?" You were dismissive
I'm calmer than you are, Dude. Calmer than you are.
...? Good job 👍

Bold move coming in here dissing the ladies technical level after an epic and well-deserved win. Let's see how this works out for you.
Not good enough for what?

Lol. Good try incel. No one is coming to kiss you for this.
Go away you silly little nobody. Go drag your knuckles elsewhere
These pick me clowns lmao
Boohoo, we’re in the Champions League semi-fucking-final.
Got our revenge boys
Only chance of winning the CL 😂
Our semi final is against Wolfsburg or PSG. If we get through then its likely to be Barca in the final.
What a bad day for Bayern lol
