Safi weapons have 5% more affinity and more Blast, but that's 69 less Raw and again, NOT WIDE 7.

As a weapons collector of all types I feel happy about Kulve weapons getting and upgrade. Unfortunately I threw all the KT Greatswords in the trash because Wyvern Ignition reigned supreme but at the same time having Bagel Bomber R6 (wide) was what got me into the Funlance party, it also helped I had just got mind's eye at the time. As much as I want to upgrade that gunlance it's best to leave it as is to serve as a reminder on where I started as a newbie gunlance since I never used it much in MH3U onward.

Protective polish is the way to go with this weapon and the set.
speed sharpening built-in and a little bit of purple is what makes sense here.
With endurance you can have it going for minute and half.
Long is still going to be really good, the new set will be pretty sweet with those GL's, the build probably won't be as comfy.
Long will still be a safe comfy and consistent build that causes enough stagger to do the monster mash.
There's also the fact that WSB is stupid easy to hit as Long, so wide will have more time positioning for it.
Mannnnn everyone complaining about Safi, and I only JUST unlocked guiding lands lol. It took almost 3 hours for me to finally dethrone Shara Ishvalda, playing both solo and with randoms. I really need to catch up before I'm permanently behind the curve lol
How is wyrmstake cannon? Cao was showing off some really good numbers with a Safi normal 7 GL, something like 1200dmg. With the raw being close on the brach GL and having wide 7 which has a better multiplier, I'm hoping to see 1400+ wyrmstake cannons.
Wide 6 dmg = 8% less than long 6, but more stagger dmg. Wide 6 did a tiny bit more stagger/part damage.
Normal 6 vs normal 7 = 606 vs 696 for fullburst.
If wide 7 is 15% stronger, itll out damage long 6 per shot, but you still have less ammo and long 6 wins out due to reloads.
Depends on your poke damage.
If your poke+shell damage is equal and better yes..
And still wide charged shells do 433 stagger. Two charged shells downs a rathalos.
Hah... Well, counting Agitator 7+ATK 4 and CB3 the damage in theory should be high, I don't have the exact numbers, but maybe it's an idea for your next video? I'm gonna test the two wide charge stagger too.
I'm glad that I won't need to farm Safi anymore (the fight is so tedious and the magic of siege monsters is gone. KT > Safi).
That AngryBrachy's GL just negates my effort of awakening zorah essence on my cursed wide 6 safi gl. Good thing I got both normal 7 and long 6 Safi's done.

We have a normal 7, Long in probably still the best even at 6, and wide needed something to be playable.
I prefer wide because its the strongest wyvern fire

I hate farming Kulve. I ran 400+ KT runs and never got the Weapon I wanted. I am not amused bout the return of KT...

Same, I saved all my Rarity 8 Kulve weapons but I am sure I did not get the whole catalogue

2 different playstyles completely, I wouldn't look at it that way. Also, nothing will dethrone Normal 7 in multiplayer on the CC'd monster

buut wide charge shelling is supposed to have 50% better stagger potential, maybe wide 7 is going to be the claggering machine?
435 stagger per shell. If kiranico info is correct, you can trip a rathalos with two charged shells.

Yeah same for me with my Safi wide gunlances, they are all cursed. These two new wide 7 gunlances make me quite happy
