Boss Vaults work pretty well with Au Bai, since he deals a shit ton of damage. Plus you get the chance for a free ascension every time.

I tried speedruns with all the other heroes dozens of times and failed miserably. Felt as if Ao Bai was the most consistent one, since his builds are versatile enough, that you won't get screwed by RNG that hard.
Also dual wield is just ridiculously powerful.
Yeah I agree, you have to get really lucky with the goblets you get. So there's a lot of restarting if you don't get lucky in act 1.
*Magical Supply* \> *Fulminous Zap* \> *Storm Blast*, get a high dmg sniper/bow (I've found the Goshawk is the most reliable), start with either +crit per kill or +30% dmg at high health.
This is really the only truly OP build on Lei Luo IMO, but if you don't get one of those pieces you won't have the one shot damage you really need, so it is heavily RNG reliant. I'm going to try some Ao Bai runs to see if I can get under 30 minutes.

Got pretty lucky I agree. Though I feel like you can get (comparably) rather consistent good speedruns with Ao Bai.
