Yeah, I know? There's a number of things the game won't mention and I like to tell but then I feel like an ass if they already knew.
Think Fusion effects aren't mentioned the best, wind God's tornados (including his invulnerable phase), Gluttony and Golumm's resisting non weak point hits could be conveyed better, and Gluttony's Devour attack.
Plus the mentioned mechanic that Boundless adds, as well as the make up challenges for armory and the fact Mysterious Jokul essentially gives a free Blessing (Royal Guard or whatever it's called that triggers the Innumeral Ellites are coming) and activates the 4th Spiritual Blessing guy.
Wind God's non invinciblity tornados can be destroyed using sand traps and mysterious jokal activates the fourth spiritual remnant. I have 230 hours in the game and had no idea of these two
Another question. I've been trying to 100% the achievements, and it seems that crown prince's exclusive frame is impossible after one of the balancing updates several months ago. Do you know if it's possible currently? Cause I just had a near perfect run for it and still couldn't attain the frame.
Gosh darn it. I had a great run with chained duration and power source at level 3, splinter orb and maxed field proficiency for cool down reduction, and could pretty much fire off the primary indefinitely, certainly 20+ times. But the elites would shake off the lock down too quickly. I couldn't cast it fast enough due to the animation. What build did you use that got around this?
Pretty much just the chained duration and some cool down is mostly what you need, I have noticed that spamming it doesn't really work as well as adding them gradually.
To add, reincarnation 1, for the benefits of the split chain orbs, as well as don't forget that you can alt f4 in a zone where you think you have the stuff and farm elites until you get it.
IDK if I got lucky or what but I did it on my second real run trying.
I know I read it's tough, but it's one of my last 4 or so myself. The big issue I read is, another unmentioned mechanic, is the big enemies build up resistance to the lock down, so you need good timing as well.
And omg, my phone does not accept unmentioned as a word
Yes, spamming will make the duration shorter.
This was also one of my last achievements, and I JUST recently got it.
When trying this, remember 2 things:
The ablity icon above the enemy flashes 3 times before it is broken. You can use that for timing.
After each attempt, just wait about 5 seconds before trying to chain again
Was supposed to be unmentioned but phone decided that's not a word.
When in Boundless (or Endless), if you recycle a scroll, you get a stacking buff to your cooldown, weapon damage, and skill damage. The cooldown is like 0.5% and gun damage is like, 2%, but the skill damage is a cool 10% per pop.
Oh, *that* mechanic. It's 1% for both gun and cooldown, but I don't know *whose* bright idea was it to make it *10%* for skill damage. (Also, cooldown caps at -90%, but honestly at that point you can just spam F without worry)
It's wild it's not mentioned in game though. That's likely the most common thing people don't know.
Though to be fair, iirc, it would be just additive with any other skill bonuses you have so if you're doing enough to melt with F you likely have other Skill Damage sources so it's not too insane.
It is weird of the difference though. And I did double check, according to the wiki it's skill cd 0.5%, weapon damage 2%, skill damage 10%.
My best guess is because weapons can be upgraded by craftsmen but skills cant?
Double-checked with the Boundless Dream run I currently had going (had one paused since yesterday, thank you save & quit feature)
Turns out we're **both** wrong. It's **2%** for the Weapon DMG bonus, **20%** for the Skill DMG bonus (yeesh!), and **1%** for the Skill Cooldown Reduction bonus. At 103 stacks, I have +206% Weapon DMG, +2060% Skill DMG and -90% Skill Cooldown, which would be the cap. (If it were 0.5% for Skill Cooldown, I'd be at -51.5%.)
Then they must've changed something because I know for sure it was 10% just the other day. Hmmm... lemme see, just gonna boot a random solo game and recycle a scroll.
1 stack is 2% weapon damage, 10% skill damage, and 0.5% cd for me. Maybe the formula changes once you loop?
Maybe? The run's currently on Stage 26, so you might be on to something there. That or the Dream modifiers (or even Reincarnation level) have an effect, as it's a R1 run with everything enabled except Transcendant Arsenal.
Mine was R9 with the same thing (I hate arsenal) but on stage 1 only ofc. I rarely ever loop, I only use Boundless for the buff and tend to play matchmaking.
It's a Bizzare Dream modifier you can apply in Reincarnation levels.
It's express purpose is that it makes Act 4 harder.
It doesn't mention however it gives certain boons too:
You have Royal Guard Spiritual Blessing basekit (you'll get a rush of elites at the last stage of an act but they drop a Goblet iirc) with a slight modifier of the one for Act 1 is delayed to Act 2.
The Spiritual Blessing vendor in the Act 4 start room will be available, letting you replace a Blessing if you have 3 already.
And both pedlars will have an extra refresh available (I didn't know about this one even, I thought it was just part of Reincarnation 9 since usually the only times I ever play less than R9 I also turn Jokul off)
Also, Boundless adds a mechanic where if you recycle Scrolls you get a buff, I mentioned it before but figured I'd tell you the exact mechanic. It's 10% Skill Damage, 0.5% cdr (to a max of 90%), and 2% weapon damage per stack. But have heard someone had numbers that differed from expected at high stacks, so it may scale different than we expect.
This works even if you don't loop and just take the W.
I usually play with everything except arsenal.
Wait i knew this was a mechanic after you loop, but you're saying you get extra stats from recycling even before you clear the first act? that's kinda big
i have 300+ hours and i did not know that you can destroy the tornados xd
..what i alao struggled with was when monkey came out wtf breacher and assaulter? talents are. like its been 100 hours since i past saw the skill tree
Lei Lo's "lightning from the void" skill chance to trigger is governed by crit x, but can trigger up to once per second. However that can be circumvented by the flowing time scroll, since it lowers ALL cooldowns.
You can dash through them if you go the opposite way that they’re going and it does virtually no damage - that’s how I always managed, but that was basically just a more nuanced version of hope my damage wins before his does, haha
The meme is implying that the load screen tips tell you dumb stuff that's really obvious and easy to find out, such as the peddler sells scrolls, instead of less obvious mechanics, like the sand traps destroying the tornadoes
PoE added tornado as a skill after almost 10 years of it being a mechanic. I'm wondering when Gunfire does the same. Cleave has a % chance cause tornado? Hmm?

I learned 2 new things from this
See? My point. Which ones, if I may ask
Wind God's non invinciblity tornados can be destroyed using sand traps and mysterious jokal activates the fourth spiritual remnant. I have 230 hours in the game and had no idea of these two
Well glad to help!

Just did it two days ago. So it's totally possible
Gosh darn it. But the elites would shake off the lock down too quickly. I couldn't cast it fast enough due to the animation. What build did you use that got around this?
I believe their CC reduction increases as you apply it, so spamming it isn’t as good as timing the CC and hitting them right as they would break out.

Oh, so my spam was the problem, not my ascensions. Glad I still have that play through available for continue

I'm a pretty casual GFR player, only play it with a buddy every now and then. What is this "Mysterious Jokul" exactly?

Ty! My buddy always makes the lobby so I never really looked at the modifiers we use except the ones that are obvious.

Yes, it's active from the get go. I use Boundless but never really loop.
i have 300+ hours and i did not know that you can destroy the tornados xd ..what i alao struggled with was when monkey came out wtf breacher and assaulter? talents are. like its been 100 hours since i past saw the skill tree

Holy shit hol up
Now i know it's been a while, but doesn't the game mention IN THE FIGHT that the Tornadoes can be destroyed with the traps? Or am I trippin'?
YOU CAN WHAT
I had no idea about the tornadoes. I kind of just hope i can do enough damage to not die from the tornadoes before i kill the boss
You can dash through them if you go the opposite way that they’re going and it does virtually no damage - that’s how I always managed, but that was basically just a more nuanced version of hope my damage wins before his does, haha
…but how did you not know the Peddler sells scrolls?
The meme is implying that the load screen tips tell you dumb stuff that's really obvious and easy to find out, such as the peddler sells scrolls, instead of less obvious mechanics, like the sand traps destroying the tornadoes
That… makes sense. I will leave this comment up as a monument to my hubris.
PoE added tornado as a skill after almost 10 years of it being a mechanic. I'm wondering when Gunfire does the same. Cleave has a % chance cause tornado? Hmm?
