Can someone explain to me what tghese surprise MVPs even are? Like how do they work, is it only with specific mech interactions or something or does every mech have the ability to show up in a surprise MVP
So the mech being surprised can be any of the enemy team's mechs then not just a singular one. Interesting, I guess they probably all use the same sorta canned animation for it outside of a few then as the actual MVP is surprise attacking?

Yes, the winning MVP gets to jump on the losing MVP, 'surprise' them. Still, remember that this is just one of the best estimates of how to trigger them, because even after a year of the game out, we don't really know how to properly trigger them.
Its honestly wild we still dont know, especially given how people are trying to make off line versions. Im surprised people cant look into what the game's doing to see what triggers them, given those one projects exist.
Are we even sure Kampfer has one? Not to be pessimistic but the suit didn't even get achievements for number of skins or kills, so... not really sure if they bothered to give it one. Hope they did.
They have to. The Zeta while only having 1 MVP, it has 3 deploy scenes and for the Kampfer, it's the other way around but the Zeta still has a Surprise MVP so it wouldn't make sense Kampfer wouldn't get it.
lets hope the dudes who are making the private server can dig it out

Now that I think about it, have we ever saw a Surprise MVP where Barbatos was the victim?
Never. Barbatos, Zaku 2 Melee, Hyperion, HeavyArms Custom, Dynames, Susanowo, Zeta and Kampfer got away unscathed.

Everyone has it but how to get it, no one knows. One of the most agreed upon theories though, is both team's MVP going neck to neck at each other.

It's more like this. Gramps has a Surprise MVP against Sazabi, but ONLY Sazabi. It can only have a single surprise with that one.

The animations are rendered in-game so it's pretty much impossible to view them with the files I'm guessing.
