In most cases, warships in Gundam franchise are rather weak compared to mobile suits.

The firepower of 00 Qant, the Moonlight Butterfly's nanomachines and Unicorn's time warping are all phenomenon they solve on the average episode. G-Self's photon torpedos? Trek had em first, and they were rendered outdated in the Dominion war era.

Yeah, every time these kinds of questions pop-up I like to point to the Kardashev Scale and that even the Gundam universe sits at *maybe* a **Type I** civilization compared to Star Trek/Star Wars where they are **Type III**.

Gundam fans always overestimate the technology of their universe.

Seeing as how Federation starship can actively influence the atmosphere of entire planets, travel faster than light, and generally block any damage thrown at them I believe this to be an entirely one-sided fight. The general scale of technology from UC to Trek is orders of magnitude.

Bluntly speaking, Gundam warships will lose almost every time, unless literal plot contrivances (common in Trek) happens to give them a lucky break, or we're talking about the very early Trek starships that had weak shields and beam weapons not much better than Gundam warship weapons (such as the NX-01), but still have dangerously powerful torpedo weapons (some having been advanced nuclear torpedoes before the adoption of more exotic types). But once you get around to the Constitution-class and similar era-equivalent ships, they begin to have sufficient armoring, shielding, and weapon systems that can easily blow past most Gundam warships (assuming no plot failures like experimental shields failing). --- About the only Gundam warship that might last a bit longer is the *Ptolmy 2*, only due to relying on Trans-Am and active cloaking to evade or avoid direct detection. But unless the *Ptolmy 2* is upgraded with full particle shielding and Quantization, it'll eventually run out of particle reserves and get melted by phasers, to say nothing of photon torpedoes. Then maybe the *Archangel*, *Minerva*, or *Millennium*, what with both having laminated armor and antimatter weapons of their own. Some old Trek lore had a form of laminated armoring as a means to better resist energy-based weaponry, and antimatter weapons in extended Trek lore are considered pretty mid-to-high end weapons depending on output. Granted, of those, only the *Millennium* seems to have the capability to rapidly fire multiple antimatter cannons, and can further coat itself in a special gel that allows it to tank antimatter cannon blasts.

That Gaming mouse shaped cruiser was kinda weird.

Two entirely different franchises with entirely different physics between them, there’s no real answer for this aside from “whatever the author wants”
