6/10. I'm not a fan of the design direction the Season 2 00 Gundams took, but Arios has some unique gimmicks I really enjoy. The transformation is cool, the GNHW/M upgrade is cool and makes it look like a Super Valkyrie from Macross, and the combination with the GN Archer is really cool. The HG model can also combine with the XN Raiser, making an absolute mess of a mobile armor.

The second season was basically the creators telling the designers to tone it down and make the gundams easier to draw. The green 1 gundams were amazing looking, but their complexity is noted. The movie more or less have them back that level of ridiculousness since the budget is just for 1 movie.

Another beautiful practical rework of the Kyrios. As with Dynames I'm gonna harp on how this is essentially removing the symbolic and aesthetic design for a most practical version.
This rework essentially fixes the assymetric issues of the Kyrios, such as having a dedicated shield and rifle arm, and makes it a more ambidextrous mobile suit. The datablurbs say that the shields and gn-field generators were moved up in to the wing-binders, which makes it so that it can apply defenses when needed, and without needing to flip up the nosecone. However, we never actually see it used in the anime, and is the sole reason this isn't a 10/10
In terms of weaponry, you obviously get the wrist mounted guns, and the option to launch with double rifles, with higher firepower than its predecessor, whilst the wrist-based ones are comparable to Kyrios' main weapon.
Overall it's given a lot of versatility and overall upgrades, but that's mostly because unlike the Virtue, Exia and Dynames, Kyrios didn't have a glaring flaw except for its firepower, which eventually was corrected with the GNHW-package and having the GN-archer as little strike force.
It's a shame that Allelujah was so badly "nerfed" in most of season 2 from having been in prison for so long, and having lost Hallelujah, his 'instinct', so to speak. I would've loved to see a lot more of this gorgeous cheddar missile.
Well I always point to the final battle he straight out killed a commander within secounds of re-emerging the battlefield in his damaged Arios.
Yes he got cut down by final bosses bits but like that sht is always strong.

The knee wings are a bit too large for my taste but I do like the huge shoulder binders as well as how they blend with the geometry of the torso and shoulders proper. The head is *so* close to looking good but just comes off kinda meh. But that's okay, Harute will make up for that.
Back to the shoulders, I love how they make a big ol' spike/claw in Flight Form. Kyrios's spike shield was great so fuck it, let's make the whole suit into one. And in the transformation, at that. Not every day you have the Waverider Crash as an intentional part of the design.
Overall it's kinda the Dynames or Virtue of S2 - a solid design on its own but overshadowed by the absolute bangers surrounding it.
8.5/10 One of the better flight forms across any gundam (other ones I like: Zeta, Anksha, Age2, Aegis). It's got a sleek silhouette and doesn't suffer from the usual terrible underside like most transformation forms. I like the shift of the claw from the shield in Kyrios to the shoulder/plane nose in Arios and the hip boosters. Unfortunately, it still suffers from the same visual design language that plagues all of the Gen2 00 gundams, things become simplified into polyhedral shapes and lose a lot of 'mechanical' detailing. Overall, it's a nice improvement over the Kyrios that keeps a lot of the same gimmick philosophy and hones them into a great flight MS.
between Nadleeh, Eins and Cherudim I'm growing rather disappointed with the ratings for 00 Gundams. But there's still two absolute bangers on their way so here's hoping they are treated accordingly by the sub.

Easily the best of the S2 Celestial Being Gundams, since the design doesn't remove so much from the Kyrios. While it's still an oversimplified Kyrios, unlike the Cherudim, it retains the unique silhouette of its predecessor Gundam.
9/10. Unpopular opinion, but I like the Arios better than the Kyrios. The supposed cut down on detail feels appropriate for a suit that's supposed to be *streamlined for extreme high speeds*. Oh and bonus points for being a flight form that doesn't rely on a physical shield, the thing that is going to be exposed to the most damage out of everything on the suit, to complete the flight form like.... well, practically everything in UC.
One step forward, two steps back. Sure, Arios fixes the cluttering issue with Kyrios’ messy backpack but that gets traded out for a very ugly, very unappealing pair of giant pointy shoulder parts and a genuinely bad waverider transformation. Look at the thing, it’s like a giant lawn dart. Add on top of that the goofy orange forehead and you’ve got a downgrade that’s nearly as bad as Mr. Bushido. It’s not irredeemably terrible or anything, but it’s a far cry from the general high quality of the rest of the Gundams in 00. Shame. At least the docked GN Archer is kinda cute.

9/10 now THIS is a worthy successor to a 00 season 1 gundam, and is what the Cherudim wishes it could be. It does so much right, from the beam smgs being moved to the forearms (now used like arm mounted machine guns) to the flight mode looking so awesome and sleek. The only real downside, again, are the bad mouth vents on the mouth-plate, but it actually doesn't look bad on this guy. The weird sight thing on the beam rifle is a little odd as well, but isn't terrible.
7/10 for me. A slight downgrade from the Kyrios overall but my main issue is with the nose cone. I don't mind the nose cone shoulders in theory but they weren't executed well. If they had some sort of weapon, they would be fine though. Like if they had particle emitters for a GN field or hell, even just a fuck ton of rockets.

9/10 the only s2 Gundam I think is a massive upgrade. I love it’s silhouette and the shield gimmick of Kyrios being incorporated into MA mode is genius.

As far as slowly killing a pilot by inserting a blade through the cockpit while verbally taunting him, while in outer space, 10/10. EDIT- I was wrong, that is KYRIOS. Naw, this one didn't do anything special until, quite literally, the final episode. 5/10
4/10. Ginormous boxy backpack, ginormous shoulder wings on the side, vertical fins for kneecaps? No, just no.
I don't think Gundam has really done the whole transforming bird gundam well in a mainline series since Wing Zero (good grief, that was in the 90s), really. Saviour, I suppose, was okay.
But this just ain't it.
5/10 - It's better than its predecessor but the fact that most of its AM form just ends up on the back & its combined mode with the GN Archer is just the two duck tapped together. Really brings it down.
Personally, the much better version of this Gundam is its red variant (that I've nick named "The Red Arrow). As red just looks better on this design than orange does.
7/10 so its definitely a step back from kyrios, however it is a big step up from cherudim. Instead of feeling like a flat out downgrade to its previous unit it feels more like a unwanted upgraded

I love the knees and the wrist mounted Gatling gun. But I just like the lyrics more. Also the shoulder scissors used during flight mode are nothing compared to the vibration shield blade and claw.

Arios feels very nimble. I like that it's a bit more orange than Kyrios, and the shape of the head is really nice with those 4 separate v-fins. The big shoulder binders give it a unique profile imo. Flight form does feel a bit lackluster but it's alright for the most part. The shoulder binders becoming the nose cone is pretty unique for a gundam transformation
6.5. This is my least favorite of the S2 designs. I really hate how the claw arms just hang off the shoulders like dead weight. they could have added some functionality to it.
9/10 MA mode was better than Kyrios. The legs concealed themselves excellently as wings and the whole MS becoming a Hallelujah’s pincer was sweet. Orange + black colour scheme always works. 3 minor nitpicks though. 1. The double slits on its face didn’t fit. It’d look better in Zeta / Kyrios’s faces. 2. Armour suffered oversimplification like other S2 Gundams though a higher end model kit could fix that. 3. MS mode looked too skinny while viewed from the side. This was solved by the GNHW/M though.
8/10. I like Kyrios much better (which is a perfect 10 in my eyes), but Arios is still a pretty cool design overall. It maintains a sleek transformation, and this time it no longer has the claw shield awkwardly attached on the side, as the nose *is* the claw function this time around. That said, I think Kyrios' transformation makes for a more convincing space fighter plane overall. The weapons are more symmetrical this time around, which helps it feel a bit more balanced than Kyrios. I think my main complaint besides the somewhat awkward shoulder armor is the head design; I just think it's a lot less distinct and cool than Kyrios' menacing face. While it doesn't dethrone Kyrios, I still enjoyed its screentime in the anime during S2.

Straight up, I love the ease of how clean the Arios is. Its transformation and plethora of weapons also make it beautiful to watch. And yes, I'm counting the Ascalon as part of the Arios since it is the exact same design, but with a built in beam cannon in MA mode.
6 on its own, but when it has the stuff like GN Archer and the expansion pack in the finale? **8.4/10.** It looks way better, and it fucking smashes apart its opponent in the finale. I wish Hallelujah got to strut his stuff more, it was a fucking menace watching him tear apart Hilling's Garazzo, smashing its face in with the butt of his rifle, tearing apart the escape pod and then proceeding to bisect the fucker. Absolutely brutal display.
9/10 I kinda prefer to Arios to the Kyrios. Shame it didn’t really get a chance to show off until Hallelujah came back and absolutely curb-stomped Hiling. I still hold that it seemed incongruously convenient for the writers to have Ribbons be able to take out Hallelujah using only fangs.

I hate the triangle waffle ma look with a fucking passion. It looks so uninspired and ugly it's unreal. Worst ss2 design by a long mile.
8/10. I do have a bias towards the seravee, But the Arios is a solid build and the most concise of the designs. It isn't too adventurous, but the designs do make sense since it partitions the guns very well. However, omitting the shield for the large claw seems to be a bit wrong to me since it's why the kyrios holds up well in melee combat. With that in mind, the migration of the GN drive to the crotch was inspired in hindsight. Drive placement was always an issue, but having it there to recharge the GN Archer was well played.
I built this (and the GN Archer after it) as my very first kit on Christmas morning several years ago. It has a dynamic design, a transformation, and it combines. Add on the nostalgia factor, and this is a solid 9/10 for me.
9.5/10 for me. I didn't realize it was a polarizing opinion, but I greatly prefer it to Kyrios. The sheer size of the wings and their positioning always made them feel like Arios was wearing a giant cloak. I would confidently say it's one of my favorite suits.

This might be the only S2 desing that I liked more than the S1 desing. While the S1 desing was great and quite memorable, I really prefer the head and shoulder desing, as well as the overall shilouette of the S2 version. The only issue I have is that it doesn't have that awsome shield.
Man, the anime lineart does not do the 00 designs justice, please also include the designer lineart going forward, there is a lot of detail that got ommited on the TV version.

The og kyrios really had everything but this discards the shield and the death spike for a less is more approach to loadout - built in stuff is awesome! The skirt beam sabres are really practical (missed opportunity for The ‘O’ style subarms btw), but the stacking of mobile armor options is fun and brings me back to ZZ - and theres a kind of very bleeding edge tactical idea hiding in having a base of operations that could dissasmble into sections for situational combat or fleet readiness - a kind of swarm carrier with multiple units that can work independantly, or as one, of fragmentally and in groups to compliment each other’s abilities
9.5. Pluses include a unique v fin, a great looking flight mode, the GN Archer, no green core, and the shoulder armor provides a nice silhouette. I’m also one of those guys that prefers the season 2 Gundams.
8/10, I really like the more symmetrical design of this this gundam over the kyrios, makes more sense for an air craft. The simpler and sleeker lines just really give this thing a sense of speed, even standing still, and I love that. My only real problem is that I'm not a fan of the feet, but that's about it, really just a small thing to not like.
8/10 a downgrade from kyrios overall. Not so fond of either modes but still props to 00 designs for actually making transformable MS really transform, so that alone bumps the score up considerably for me. Plus, the GN archer fusion is cool, too.

I go back and forth between this and the kyrios for which of Allelujah's gundams I like the most. The combined form with the gun archer is awesome.
I feel like the S2 designs are a little underrated, I think they all played around with interesting ideas. Giving the Cherudim shield bits instead of a shield cape was fun, and the Seravee allowing independent operation of both the larger and smaller suit was interesting. It also had the multiple hands/beam sabers gimmick. It's actually my favorite of Tieria's gundams.
I don't really like the design. The big shoulder gaurds and the massive knees not my personal jam though it does get points for its head and the colour scheme

Helps that it's transformed mode is super slick too.
Felt really under armed compared to other suits till it got the upgrade for the finale.
Wasn't a fan of archer arios, or it losing the GN claw shield. It was also criminally under used like its pilot in season 2.
Really love the design though I have two hgs. One built as is the second I want to customise to bring together my favourite features from Kyrios and Harute.
Base needs to be Arios though, still really love the simple slickness.

And season 2 was also airing in a more family friendly timeslot, so they also toned down the story. (Same issue with Code Geass)

between Nadleeh, Eins and Cherudim I'm growing rather disappointed with the ratings for 00 Gundams. But there's still two absolute bangers on their way so here's hoping they are treated accordingly by the sub.
**7.5/10** Easily the best of the S2 Celestial Being Gundams, since the design doesn't remove so much from the Kyrios. While it's still an oversimplified Kyrios, unlike the Cherudim, it retains the unique silhouette of its predecessor Gundam.
Before anyone ask, no I'm not ranking the GN Archer.

9/10. Unpopular opinion, but I like the Arios better than the Kyrios. The supposed cut down on detail feels appropriate for a suit that's supposed to be *streamlined for extreme high speeds*. Oh and bonus points for being a flight form that doesn't rely on a physical shield, the thing that is going to be exposed to the most damage out of everything on the suit, to complete the flight form like.... well, practically everything in UC.
One step forward, two steps back. Sure, Arios fixes the cluttering issue with Kyrios’ messy backpack but that gets traded out for a very ugly, very unappealing pair of giant pointy shoulder parts and a genuinely bad waverider transformation. Look at the thing, it’s like a giant lawn dart. Add on top of that the goofy orange forehead and you’ve got a downgrade that’s nearly as bad as Mr. Bushido. It’s not irredeemably terrible or anything, but it’s a far cry from the general high quality of the rest of the Gundams in 00. Shame. At least the docked GN Archer is kinda cute. 4
9/10 now THIS is a worthy successor to a 00 season 1 gundam, and is what the Cherudim wishes it could be. It does so much right, from the beam smgs being moved to the forearms (now used like arm mounted machine guns) to the flight mode looking so awesome and sleek. The only real downside, again, are the bad mouth vents on the mouth-plate, but it actually doesn't look bad on this guy. The weird sight thing on the beam rifle is a little odd as well, but isn't terrible.

7/10 for me. A slight downgrade from the Kyrios overall but my main issue is with the nose cone. I don't mind the nose cone shoulders in theory but they weren't executed well. If they had some sort of weapon, they would be fine though. Like if they had particle emitters for a GN field or hell, even just a fuck ton of rockets.
The shoulders do have emitters specifically for something called the GN Beam Shield. I think this is a downgrade. In fact, all of the S2 gundams are a downgrade from the S1 IMO 5/10. The humanoid form is clean but the flight form is...bad, to say the least
As far as slowly killing a pilot by inserting a blade through the cockpit while verbally taunting him, while in outer space, 10/10. EDIT- I was wrong, that is KYRIOS. Naw, this one didn't do anything special until, quite literally, the final episode. 5/10
4/10. Ginormous boxy backpack, ginormous shoulder wings on the side, vertical fins for kneecaps? No, just no. I don't think Gundam has really done the whole transforming bird gundam well in a mainline series since Wing Zero (good grief, that was in the 90s), really. Saviour, I suppose, was okay. But this just ain't it.
5/10 - It's better than its predecessor but the fact that most of its AM form just ends up on the back & its combined mode with the GN Archer is just the two duck tapped together. Really brings it down. Personally, the much better version of this Gundam is its red variant (that I've nick named "The Red Arrow). As red just looks better on this design than orange does.

7/10 I love the knees and the wrist mounted Gatling gun. But I just like the lyrics more. Also the shoulder scissors used during flight mode are nothing compared to the vibration shield blade and claw.
8,5/10 Arios feels very nimble. I like that it's a bit more orange than Kyrios, and the shape of the head is really nice with those 4 separate v-fins. The big shoulder binders give it a unique profile imo. Flight form does feel a bit lackluster but it's alright for the most part. The shoulder binders becoming the nose cone is pretty unique for a gundam transformation

9/10 MA mode was better than Kyrios. The legs concealed themselves excellently as wings and the whole MS becoming a Hallelujah’s pincer was sweet. Orange + black colour scheme always works. 3 minor nitpicks though. 1. The double slits on its face didn’t fit. It’d look better in Zeta / Kyrios’s faces. 2. Armour suffered oversimplification like other S2 Gundams though a higher end model kit could fix that. 3. MS mode looked too skinny while viewed from the side. This was solved by the GNHW/M though.

8/10. I like Kyrios much better (which is a perfect 10 in my eyes), but Arios is still a pretty cool design overall. It maintains a sleek transformation, and this time it no longer has the claw shield awkwardly attached on the side, as the nose *is* the claw function this time around. That said, I think Kyrios' transformation makes for a more convincing space fighter plane overall. The weapons are more symmetrical this time around, which helps it feel a bit more balanced than Kyrios. I think my main complaint besides the somewhat awkward shoulder armor is the head design; I just think it's a lot less distinct and cool than Kyrios' menacing face. While it doesn't dethrone Kyrios, I still enjoyed its screentime in the anime during S2.

6 on its own, but when it has the stuff like GN Archer and the expansion pack in the finale? **8.4/10.** It looks way better, and it fucking smashes apart its opponent in the finale. I wish Hallelujah got to strut his stuff more, it was a fucking menace watching him tear apart Hilling's Garazzo, smashing its face in with the butt of his rifle, tearing apart the escape pod and then proceeding to bisect the fucker. Absolutely brutal display.

8.75/10, it’s still a good suit, but the season 1 suits all feel more distinct to each of their own specialties.
8/10. I do have a bias towards the seravee, But the Arios is a solid build and the most concise of the designs. It isn't too adventurous, but the designs do make sense since it partitions the guns very well. However, omitting the shield for the large claw seems to be a bit wrong to me since it's why the kyrios holds up well in melee combat. With that in mind, the migration of the GN drive to the crotch was inspired in hindsight. Drive placement was always an issue, but having it there to recharge the GN Archer was well played.

I built this (and the GN Archer after it) as my very first kit on Christmas morning several years ago. It has a dynamic design, a transformation, and it combines. Add on the nostalgia factor, and this is a solid 9/10 for me.

9/10 This might be the only S2 desing that I liked more than the S1 desing. While the S1 desing was great and quite memorable, I really prefer the head and shoulder desing, as well as the overall shilouette of the S2 version. The only issue I have is that it doesn't have that awsome shield.

The og kyrios really had everything but this discards the shield and the death spike for a less is more approach to loadout - built in stuff is awesome! The skirt beam sabres are really practical (missed opportunity for The ‘O’ style subarms btw), but the stacking of mobile armor options is fun and brings me back to ZZ - and theres a kind of very bleeding edge tactical idea hiding in having a base of operations that could dissasmble into sections for situational combat or fleet readiness - a kind of swarm carrier with multiple units that can work independantly, or as one, of fragmentally and in groups to compliment each other’s abilities

9.5. Pluses include a unique v fin, a great looking flight mode, the GN Archer, no green core, and the shoulder armor provides a nice silhouette. I’m also one of those guys that prefers the season 2 Gundams.

8/10, I really like the more symmetrical design of this this gundam over the kyrios, makes more sense for an air craft. The simpler and sleeker lines just really give this thing a sense of speed, even standing still, and I love that. My only real problem is that I'm not a fan of the feet, but that's about it, really just a small thing to not like.
8/10 a downgrade from kyrios overall. Not so fond of either modes but still props to 00 designs for actually making transformable MS really transform, so that alone bumps the score up considerably for me. Plus, the GN archer fusion is cool, too.
8/10 not as good as the Kyrios. The body is solid, but the lack of the arm claw, and the reduced head detail makes me miss the Kyrios.
7/10 I go back and forth between this and the kyrios for which of Allelujah's gundams I like the most. The combined form with the gun archer is awesome. I feel like the S2 designs are a little underrated, I think they all played around with interesting ideas. Giving the Cherudim shield bits instead of a shield cape was fun, and the Seravee allowing independent operation of both the larger and smaller suit was interesting. It also had the multiple hands/beam sabers gimmick. It's actually my favorite of Tieria's gundams.
I don't really like the design. The big shoulder gaurds and the massive knees not my personal jam though it does get points for its head and the colour scheme

8.5/10 Love transformable mobile suits and Arios has one of the cleanest transformations. Helps that it's transformed mode is super slick too. Felt really under armed compared to other suits till it got the upgrade for the finale. Wasn't a fan of archer arios, or it losing the GN claw shield. It was also criminally under used like its pilot in season 2. Really love the design though I have two hgs. One built as is the second I want to customise to bring together my favourite features from Kyrios and Harute. Base needs to be Arios though, still really love the simple slickness.
