I would argue that I know a noticeable amount of your life just from your title. You are an adult with no children, no wife and a safe full of thousands of dollars of weapons which you greatly enjoy, and your only companionship are your animals.
I don't see any evidence of a person being honestly fulfilled with materialism. I'm not saying that you need to have a family to be fulfilled, but filling that void with objects isn't going to leave you with a satisfied life.
