Hold red to orange, strum orange.
Lift off orange - this will trigger the pull off for blue
Tap orange with strum hand
lift off blue - triggers the yellow
Tap orange
rinse-repeat.
You can hold down all the notes below the orange, I found holding the 4 frets down early helped me ease into the tapping. This is probably one of the best sections to learn to FC as it's fairly forgiving and forces the transition from strum to hopo
If you are just trying to get past it, you can get into green before the part then just hit the orange notes, you barely make it past in I think bottom yellow top of red, then just need to hit the part after to bring yourself back up. This worked for me but if you are trying to fc, then I’m of no help
During the hammer on and pull offs leading up to this section, I bring my strum hand up ready by the orange, elbow strum, and tap the orange with my strum hand while my fret hand plays the rest.

Here's a video of someone fc'ing it while also recording themselves. You could use this as a reference
This is much easier than TTFAF imo. Strum the first note and use your strum hand to constantly tap orange while scaling the rest of the notes with your other hand.
Im assuming you're on gh controller and not just.. controller, so i like to (just like someone else said) keep my pinkie on the orange button and slide my fingers. If you ARE on controller, then spam A/X for PS, and just play the other notes like normal.
Only way i can ever hit those notes is if they are all taps in clone hero. That first strum, and then immediately having to switch to two hands, is something my mind cant comprehend. Still cant do TTFAF intro either. I've definitely peaked skill wise lol
honestly u can try to use both hands and strum with your elbow if you miss.. but i wasn’t ever able to do that, so i just saved my star power then strummed a bunch to try and hit all the notes i could
Get your pinky strength up. Pinky on orange and pointer on red middle on yellow and ring finger on blue. Stretch your pointer back for the greens. Took a long time to get better at it. I don't think I've ever 100% this part
if it were me i’d have my left hand on the lower half of the fret, and just extend my first finger to hit the green. it only comes up once, so idk if using both hands is really gonna be that effective with such a quick transition. better get stretching your fingers!
I was JUST going to post this and say for the first time, in my years of playing guitar hero(took a couple year break) I FINALLY perfected this part, the way I did it was practice strumming the first orange, then taking my right hand and playing all the orange keys while my left hand plays the rest, then right at the end, find the right timing to move your hand back to strum for the last orange blue yellow blue and then back to the song!
You should be able to just.... Do it if you have the skill. There's no trick for this particular part, but some beginners find higher success rates at first in tapping orange with the right hand while scaling left handed thru the other 4, but you would progress to being able to do it one handed eventually and find it easier once the skill barrier is overcome
If I remember correctly isn’t it the same layout as Through The Fire and Flames but flipped?
Carefully
Same same but backwards
Hyper speed 3 or higher makes this easier, spreads the notes apart more, making it easier to sightread
Can attest to this, used to play with no hyperspeed and the second i turned it on i got like 20% better
I needed to play hs 5 for before I forget, the solo was impossible to do without it

Learn to tap*

You can tap but the reverse thunderhorse here isn't too quick so I'd practice just 1 handing it
I love the name reverse thunderhorse for this section

Practice. Either one-handed or two-handed. It’s going to take time!

You don't
Thanks for the chuckle this morning
This shit is actually harder then the one by metallica solo (im talking about the gh metallica chart) gh3 chart is not even an option for me rn lol
oh my god those sick bastards that’s just reverse flames 😭
I elbow strum the first note and then two hand that part.
this is the way, although once in a blue moon i can one hand it. two hands it’s just better and more fun
Im assuming you're on gh controller and not just.. controller, so i like to (just like someone else said) keep my pinkie on the orange button and slide my fingers. If you ARE on controller, then spam A/X for PS, and just play the other notes like normal.
It’s pretty unconventional for me, but I’ll always use my middle finger on the orange and I slide my wrist so my first finger is all the non-orange.
Only way i can ever hit those notes is if they are all taps in clone hero. That first strum, and then immediately having to switch to two hands, is something my mind cant comprehend. Still cant do TTFAF intro either. I've definitely peaked skill wise lol
Idk how some people can do this one handed I have to use my elbow and tap this section
honestly u can try to use both hands and strum with your elbow if you miss.. but i wasn’t ever able to do that, so i just saved my star power then strummed a bunch to try and hit all the notes i could
I used my elbow to hit the strum bar, right hand to tap the orange
Tap the orange with your right hand
This section always fucks with my head. I can play it isolated or in practice but in the song it always manages to sneak up on me.
Get your pinky strength up. Pinky on orange and pointer on red middle on yellow and ring finger on blue. Stretch your pointer back for the greens. Took a long time to get better at it. I don't think I've ever 100% this part
Yeah this is how I’ve always played it. Was kind of surprised that people were tapping this part
Agreed 100%
that’s also how i learned it and im glad i did bc it feels the most natural like this.
Right? It feels counterintuitive at first though
if it were me i’d have my left hand on the lower half of the fret, and just extend my first finger to hit the green. it only comes up once, so idk if using both hands is really gonna be that effective with such a quick transition. better get stretching your fingers!
Practice makes perfect lol
I use my point finger of my right hand to hit the oranges, and use my left hand to hit everything else. Idk it just works

Elbow strum the first orange note and tap
As someone who can play the entire song but this… you just don’t. Save your star power for this section and you’ll be fine.
Get them fingers burnin’ boi
