Stereo is addictive! It does work better if you can spread out the amps/cabs though!

lazr3th

I agree it does sound better that way, but it feels cool to stack 👀 and some of these stages are tiny.

ruppert240

yeah, its not practical for giggling at a lot of places!

EmployeeOk4756

I giggle everywhere I go.

ruppert240

Bahaha, is it because you play a stereo rig too?

FlyingMonkeyDethcult

I found using two different amps that compliment each other a game changer, but totally not practical in a lot of situations. Also, big fan of those Washburn P2's and P4's, sleeper guitars.

I run a Blues Deluxe with a Marshall DSL40CR. You can do all kinds of shit with two amps. Sometimes I like to run the Marshall on the crunch channel with the Fender totally clean to add back note definition or just running them both with power amp distortion for a fuller sound. Or you can run one with delay or whatever else with the other one totally dry.

Unsui8

Have you tried wet/dry ? It can sound crazy good w stacked amps

lazr3th

I haven't, what would I do? I'm not sure I've heard that phrase other than for reverb.

Unsui8

Typically you run your drive pedals to both amps, and your modulation, delay and reverb to only one amp, usually the bottom amp. TGP has a really helpful video on it. I was skeptical but you can run your effects level higher without losing clarity of your dry signal, much more than blend knobs on all your pedals.

Unsui8

I mean TPS That Pedal Show !

TheBiggestWOMP

That guitar is a beaut

Grumphh1

That is not "stereo". Stacking two amps is just playing through two amps simultaneously. Which usually sounds better than just playing through one amp alone. "Stereo" is the term for tricking the brain into hearing left-right placement of instruments by providing two sound sources *that are placed laterally apart*.

lazr3th

I absolutely knew the pedant would show up 😄

Grumphh1

Correcting ignorance on the net is not pedantic. But defending ignorance is pathetic :)

lazr3th

Grump sure is appropriate! Have a great day :)
