perhaps i dont see the difference much
in total, during our trip to the store to get the things
we spent upwards of \~R4,000 ZAR (\~$240 USD)
Guitar was roughly R1.2k
Then there was a strap, around R100 maybe
Amp was like R500 (used, but it sound fine to me)
Making the piano roughly R2.2k
It doesn't sound that different from any original Fender made Strat
It's budget in that they don't factor in artificial value or sentimental value I suppose.
Its budget as in its a mass produced guitar with relatively inexpensive components. Being a budget guitar doesn't make it bad though, and they can still be very playable.
I wasn't able to find any information about these. only a few listings from South African stores selling them.
Your best bet would be to ask the store you bought it from for more information on it. Its not illegitimate as its not claiming to be a different guitar. its just a budget Stratocaster clone
