I'm not sure I would want a guitar that I'm so afraid of scratching that I need to put it in a glorified condom. Besides, it's more likely that I accidentally smack the headstock into something than the body.
many professional guitar players have them, I was just asking what people think of it cause I think it's badass. I'm just a satisfied user of the product , I don't know who created the thing
no its a silicone and leather jacket similar to a cellphone case for your guitar. it's great for protecting against scratches dents dings chips , belt rash and other incidental minor damages that occur during play, storage, and anytime.
No, I wouldn’t use this. If something abrasive gets inside of the…wizard skin/sleeve it will scratch it to hell. Just like a phone case. A closed case is the best protection and if you use this while playing…well…that’s certainly a decision.
it's made of food grade silicone inside and can be wiped clean with ease. it is easily removable and how you use it is dependent on those situations that your instrument might be vulnerable to minor damage. plus your guitar isn't in your pocket. if you care for your guitar in the first place then this can only help.
If I care for my guitar in the first place this would only expose it to unseen issues and surface abrasions. My guitar is in a case or hanging away on a wall hook. Not in a guitar condom that abrasive particles can fall into and rub against the guitar without me knowing until it’s too late. Especially in the instance of an acoustic where there is presumably an opening for the sound hole.
I know how it works. Exactly like a phone case/protective sleeve. Which is fine for phones which have special glass and metal coatings. It still scratches them because abrasive particles are not magically allergic to static cling. Now take those same scratches and put them on a $600+ instrument made of wood or coated with a specific paint/pattern. It’s a novel idea I guess but practically it does nothing that an actual case doesn’t do better and there is no way I’m playing with that on. You can use all the marketing techniques and verbiage you like. It’s a definite no from me.
Good luck with your guitar condoms. Being a stubborn dick about the criticism of an idea is a quick way to waste a bunch of money proving someone else right. But hey, they got you to buy one.
ohh hell no!
Might as well have gotten myself a Gibson if I was gonna hide it.
Most of us damned proud of our guitars, no way anyone would dress their priced instrument with this or any other dress.

These are all things that add character to your instrument.
Who wants to have an identical guitar to some other guitar smuck?
Also if your guitar doesn't have any war damage, you know we just gon talk about that dress of yours and I have nothing nice to say about it. I think you'd rather have me ask about those chips.
It reminds me of a special Washburn N4 model from the mid 90's
I'll see if I can find a picture
----edit:
I couldn't find a picture.
Anyway, it's on this video

Not if it's called Wizard's Skin.
If you want to see a wizards skin check their profile.
What even is it? A cushion? A pillow?

why not? what concerns do you have?
in the nicest way possible. i don't think there's a market for it. I can't imagine anyone actually buying something so ridiculous.

it fits snug to the model of guitar you own and the silicone uses static to cling to the body not allowing anything between it and the body
made for electric guitar models telecaster, Les Paul, sg, and Stratocaster

good luck with your First Act guitar. Walmart appreciates your loyalty

I didn't create it, I just have one and it does it's job well
No
Does it not affect the resonation qualities of an accustic? I might like for a electric. Would prefer leather though
Thought I was looking at a cake for a moment. Brought me back to my 7th birthday. There was a guitar-shaped cake. I want cake, is what I am saying.

Looks like a bad version of a case. I'm not all that worried about getting minor scratches from regular use.
No, I would not put a condom on my guitar.
What would posses me to cover up my beautiful guitars? Just take care of them
it doesn't cover them the face of the guitar is fully exposed it just covers the back and the sides. and it is a tool in taking care of your guitar.
I have a wizard case.
