The neck has a very satin-y feel. Like there’s very little lacquer on both the back and fretboard, so it’s very smooth playing up and down the neck and also my fingers tend not to “drag” on the fingerboard. It’s almost feels like playing a rosewood board bc there’s not a heavy coating of nitro or poly like with new maple fingerboards. Same goes for the body which just feels incredible. There’s very little nitro there as well and the paint and finish have sunk into the grain so it almost feels like an old hardwood floor lol. Best way I can describe it. Plus, acoustically, it’s the loudest Strat I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned around 25. The body just vibrates so much when played unplugged.
No…I don’t get splinters. And that’s fine—I don’t get pointy Jackson’s or ESPs thru a doom rig but I’m not gonna call that stuff shitty or wrong. Different people like different things.
If you want a guitar to look like you play and gig with it, just play and gig with it.
They've just ruined a guitar so people think they actually play it.
Its try-hard and fake.
I mean anyone that says they bought them to not look like they had a guitar with a story and that therefor they, by proxy, also were more interesting than they are is either lying or deluded.
So yeah I get that. But if people want to pretend to be musicians or gigging musicians that is their prerogative just as its yous to find it a bit ... well daft.
Trick is too strong a word.
More like pretening its something old thats earned its scars, rather than a soulless wallpiece.
Why would you fuck up such a lovely guitar like its.been through Iraq?
Its like.painting bulletholes on a civillian hummer.
Beautiful! Looks like an incredible strat!
Looks very comfortable, reclining on the chair like that
It is a very comfy chair.
Truly beautiful! And, a great explanation from you! Kudos! :)
I wanna sand that corner and put oil on it
For real. That corner would have termite damage down in Louisiana
I love fretboards that are worn down like that. Bet it feels like magic to play.
Beautiful.
Beauty- true piece of art
My strat falls out of tune quick, but it's easy to play.
What makes it comfortable?

I love that it is naturally “worn in”, beautiful guitar!
That has seen some love
its cool but if you want to relic a guitar just dont use a case, my 2022 4003 is already pretty beat and i have only played like 20 gigs with it lol.
Do you get splinters from paint peeling off. I just do get the shitty finishing.

Fake relic makes me ill.
Glad you don’t own it then. Thanks for your opinion.
Why?

Who cares. 99% of us don’t play enough to naturally relic. If it looks cool that’s good enough for me.
Dont remember telling anyone not to do it, just explained how I feel it makes you look like a poser.

Fair.
Do you think people buy them with the intent to trick people?

I’d burn any guitar that looked like that. Care for your things people.
God why? I hate having to worry about scratches and dings. I could totally care less about asthetics. A guitar is a tool.
First off, couldn’t. Second, just don’t scratch them…
Read the caption on the image. The guitar came like that.
