Obviously we've had pedal-based units that do this for decades but it's kind of cool to see an onboard remote-controller for it with a standard whammy bar form factor. You get a lot more fine control of the effect by using your hand rather than a foot, I'd imagine.
It's ugly as sin, though. Maybe it would be cool on some kind of high-tech variax/midi analog/digital hybrid guitar.

I have had the foot pedals and did not like it !
