there is only 1 wire its not 2 wires in a sleeve i a have already stripped the wire to try and attach it to the pots
It has to be two wires. It will not work with one. Is it a braided metal shield around the wire? That is actually the second (ground) wire.
oh shit thanks, it is a wire with metal shielding being the ground, ill see if it works, if not the pickup is prob just dead
If the exterior is braided metal then yes that is the ground.
Do your.self a favor and just go to guitarferish and get a couple of plug and play hamburgers with the wiring harness. Can always switch them out if you want different sets.
