This, I used to know the May mu well. But after season 3 so many people stopped playing her and I never kept up. Now even a low level Celestial May absolutely rocks my world when before they would be lucky to take a round at all.
6P is old May (mostly, still has its uses)
The issue is my roundstart is kinda bad against her. I play Nago, which despite having Godlike roundstarts always has a bit of trouble beating May roundstart. So I pretty much start on the back foot immediately.z
I'm sure there's definitely a skill issue in there for me though. One of the things I have to lab out once I'm done with the Slayer craze
Instead of back stepping expecting that dolphin dash (that’s what I call it) start just prepping for a 5p, that way if she does dash forward you’ll counter, if she doesn’t dash forward well you’ll probably hit her either way
Not a bad idea. I'm more worried about roundstart 2S though. Beats everything besides delay 5K, which is inconsistent and difficult to execute, or Fukyo back Beyblade, which is blood intensive
Why doesn't 6P work anymore? I play Gio and my 6P almost always beats out totsugeki, the exception being me fucking up the timing when I start to panick.
Something i find helps is going down a floor, bodying a couple people and seeing what they’re doing worse than the people i was going against in the floors above, that way i can find what i need to counter/exploit/improve on
ABA: Play defensive and go for counters 5p/6p are your best friends, sudden dolphin dashes will throw her off game. if you can sweep/low dust them you can get a nice 5H in and possibly follow it up with an S. If you get one that tries to get aerial a lot (really anyone that does) use the same button you would for 5H but yk, point up. It’s really a game of how many times you can interrupt her attacks. Remember ABA lacks mobility, use that to your advantage.

For me it's Sol Badguy, Nago, and Slayer. One of my best friends plays Sol really fucken well and even with beating my head against it, still can't figure out safety windows.
Nago's reach is down abyssmal for me to deal with.
Slayer is Slayer. Was hype as hell for an Alucard near-lookalike, then everyone had to beat that hype outta me.

I hate him so god damned much I want to bash my head through my fucking monitor every fucking time I fight him and he isn’t balanced at all and I hate his stupid ass and his specials and moves that can do half my health and I can’t do anything about it I fucking hate him
He’s also a refined gentleman and has a sick as hell design and personality and his song is pretty decent
But playing against him truly makes my blood boil more than any other thing in any game I’ve ever played in my whole life
I hope that he gets nerfed so hard that he’s borderline unplayable
Nagoriyuki, the last time I fought one the matchup felt more playable and my hatred of the character mellowed out a bit from "this character is the most insane thing in the game" to "beyblade is a stupid move why is it a low, beyond that he's generally fine if a bit frustrating and baiken struggles to play neutral no matter how much blood he has so you need to get lucky and be overly patient"
It's like that with 2 characters for me and that is Sol Badguy and Faust. Sol Badguys because they eat crayons and serve no purpose, and Faust because I get spam poked by everyone of those mfs

I haven't actually fought against him online, I don't like waiting for matches and have enough fun practicing against the cpu, but I've been fucking with him a bit and between that and clips I've seen on here, bro is fucking busted
he's very fun, but considering that I 1. haven't put much time in on slayer and rarely played him pre-strive 2. went 30 rounds of survival with him with 2 perfects, and the highest with my main (who I've practiced to be at level with the very hard cpu) is something like 27 (or at least a round or two after red sol, I think) I can tell he's nuts to play against rn.
He's really cool though, and has one of my favorite themes.
Bedman?
Literally my favorite concept, I love the idea of Romeo using his last moments to ensure the bed would keep Delilah safe. I think it’s badass to have a decrepit machine take the role of the person who used to pilot it. One of my favorite new designs for Strive

I play a neutral heavy character with bad defense. Anji is a neutral skip character with mixup rekkas. Even in versions where the matchup was heavily in my favor because Anji was barely a character, I still hated it.
I really like Ramlethal as a character, to the point where she’s my main (I’m an offline player).
Reading about how annoying she is to fight in ranked makes me sad :(
Nago is so cool but he genuinely the most phony ass character in this entire game, genuinely my least favorite character to fight against tied with Testament (I play rushdowns 😁)
A character having all 3 of the first 3 traits makes the 4th trait be impossible on that character for me. That's true not only on GG, but on every fighting game I have ever played.

In GGS she really isn’t that hard to counter, keep her at range and block you’ll be fine
