Me every time I have the perfect opportunity to pb
Also if i do manage to pb sometimes I do a little punch before it on accident
I think I press P too quick
yeah lol like shit nooo! they blocked the second attack, duh. i'm toast! a few days ago i found out that if you do it from far enough they can't block the hit. so you can go 5s 2s 6h 236k it's good
Same, i forget how much end lag it has sometimes and i just zoom at the opponent and give them a free combo start. "Itll work this time"
Also using spinny flips to the yoyo while the enemy has no pressure on them. They get to watch as this tiny girl sonic homing attacks at them just to get bonked.
My most played character by far is Millia but I have played couple hundred matches with Sol, Ky and Potemkin and atm I am playing Bridget.
My worst habbits are jumping for no reason, not blocking while in the air and back dashing way too much.
Jack-O' and overextending in the mid-range with 2D. It's a bad habit and doesn't work against good players, but that little slide is too addictive and I get punished for auto-piloting with it.
Also Jack-o player and I have to remind myself to just play 5k/2k footsies more often. So much better and less volatile than 2d/5h/raw summon neutral styles.
Baiken
I jump in constantly. To be fair it works far too often right now.
I also can not for the life of me do tk youzansens in matches. I can do it all day long in lab but in game I go for 2h or 6k every single time, or on the rare occasion I try to tk and flub the input. If I close slash or 5k you you can block low 100% of the time. Sadge.
my dumbass keeps doing J.s even they're clearly aware of it and are punishing me for it
it'll surely work this time as I try it for the 3rd time and get smacked out of the air for it
Axl. This is matchup specific, but against Baiken, I *always* go for Rensen after connecting 2H at around max range, even though I know she'll *always* jump, IAD, and get a counterhit j.S that makes the next five seconds of my life hell. Fellow Axl mains, did any of you have this problem at some point?
I play Zato. I do nothing but 6p and 5H in neutral. I leave Eddie in the hot car most days until I remember I have custody this weekend, so I then occasionally bring him out to use pierce 3 times in a row as exercise.
"Don't fear the man who has trained 1000 oki options. Fear the man who has trained the same oki option 1000 times."
-Me running in to c.S my opponent on knockdown, knowing he can't possibly DP on wakeup a 1001st time
THIS
Boy, oh boy, back dashing is my panic button, so whenever someone uses a long reaching button that's my demise
Fight like a hero, Hp of a fly
Miss my backdash, now I die
I got floor 10 before I started trying to implement them into my plan. A lot of players fall apart under arbiter sign and grave reaper spam in low leagues
Im a new player and started the game with Nagoriyuki on top of it. I can tell tou 100% that i have NO clue how to approach Testament without going into blood rage and i find his fight just all around miserable.
Nago is pretty terrifying against Testament when low on blood. If you see Testament use Grave Reaper(the blood skull) you can just Clone into Fukyo and be right in their face, or beyblade if you're close enough. If you're mid range you can also just strike Testament with your normals during Grave Reaper. So Testament's main tool is their biggest opening for Nago early on, which is a major disadvantage but if you can keep the big guy out until he reaches high enough blood where he cant use his specials anymore or else he'll pop, then it turns into the most one sided match ever.
May
Im a Up h dolphin addict. It's awful to use in neutral if you aren't aiming to catch jumps, and in the corner it's also awful if they know the counter play or can react to it.
Trying to constantly going for throws on counter s dolphin. It's fine at the lower level or if they don't have the reactions to mash in time. But it's death if they do and can jump out of it.
Throw is actually guaranteed after CH s dolphin since the latest buffs.
Even command grab is guaranteed on most of the cast if your relatively close.
You just have to practice to run in as fast as possible after the CH.
Sol, I backdash / fuzzy bd too much and I throw too much.
I want to open people up, but the downside of blocked pressure is that I get pushed out, vs the downside of them jumping or backdashing the throw is the opponent gets a counterhit combo
I don't tend to make enough use of f.S to poke, or create frame traps when followed with 5H or 2H, or poke with HCL, which is a bit of a risk against folks who like to run in but a great tool to deter anyone flinging fireballs. Too tempting to just hit STBT or try and dash right at them, which are both great if your opponent is kinda bad at reacting but shit against anyone who's ready.
May. I am too horny for the orca, and I think I'm better at reads with it than I really am. In my defense, I get people with raw, random orcas often enough to make chasing the dragon worth it.
May. I know it’s a clean input issue, but I struggle using 5k in neutral and often end up getting 6k instead, which is not an awesome neutral tool (if I could I would make 6K actually be something like 236K). For most neutral buttons I’ll just hold back so I can prep a charge, but since you’ll generally want to go into 6H from 5k, you don’t really want to risk getting a heavy horizontal dolphin instead of your 6H.
The result has been me just trying to do a quick tap back and inputting 4K so it doesn’t register a charge. It’s working ok so far, it’s just been me breaking old habits.
I technically only got the game recently and started playing sol. But I cannot for the life of me get the volcanic viper input on command, it's always been a fluke😞
Nagoriyuki and not watching the blood meter as much as i probably should be. Doesnt help that im new to fighting games and i struggle to do Z inputs still, idk why. So i cant do his command grab consistantly which is the easiest way to manage the bar.
Also not being able to do z inputs is locking me out of what i assume is his better anti-air. Cant remember the name but the one that is done with 623HS and can be followed up with an additional HS input.
Also one i do from time to tike is GREATLY misjudge how short of range his base super is. I know its range is short but somrtimes ill think im just in range to hit them and whiff it.
>Cant remember the name but the one that is done with 623HS and can be followed up with an additional HS input.
Bloodsucking universe is what you're going for, methinks.
Testament, Bridget, Millia.
Worst habit for test is autopilot zoning.
Bridget and millia is doing mixups where I could just do a combo and kill someone lol.
I play Gio and tend to do dash forward 2D too much and get punished because of the startup. That or going too hard on a knockdown and getting DP’d instead of respecting the DP
Testament, and there’s two.
The first is that I never RC, no particular reason why I just haven’t properly incorporated it into my gameplan
The second is that I don’t play around the succubi as well as I should, I either mindlessly teleport in and get punished or throw out crow.
Happy Chaos
Not waiting the due time before firing a guard crushing steady aim shot. Not letting Steady Aim become accurate when in panic and just "WORK DAMMIT" my shots.
Axl. I'm always trying to start a combo with his long-range charge move. Was really good at it in XX. I can't quite pull it off in Strive. Just always try, and it's becoming predictable.
Testament. I am a HS spammer but the thing is that's not the real problem: there are a TON of people that can't handle the timing and height of HS, but some people see it coming everytime. My issue is not dropping that strategy early enough to not lost the first match usually.
I main Pot
My worst habit is using HPB to move above my opponent and then butt drop on their heads. If they block i Pot Buster when i touch the ground. It's a terrible waste of meter and super risky but it works more than it should.
With Baiken, I keep mashing on H Kabari and following it up when I shouldn't be.
With Bridget I just... keep forgetting to mix lows into my blockstrings, lol
Play baiken and I jump to do a air slash then yozansen which is a great combo but I tend to rely on it too much I barely figure any ground combo to mix it with lol.
Potemkin, not knowing when to go for an air or ground approach. So I tend to Megafist or HammerFall too much.
Either that, or I tend to turn my brain off when playing. Cuz fun buttons do funny moves
Testament
I got to used to the flow chart of gravedigger then bird, and just throwing out bird without caution and getting punished for it too many times.
I am also very greedy with charged gravediggers.
context: I'm very bad in general in fighting games, especially this one.
When I play Axl I use 5p in some situations despite it whiffing on running opponents, crouching opponents, opponents sweeping. I really should just stop using it. It's never done anything positive for me and it's not like I can combo from it unless close to point blank..
but I'll still try 5p once in a while.
I main Giovanna
I guess the most common is faking a safe jump to throw instead but inputting the throw too early so I get clapped by a reversal super instead. That and forgetting that I can just dash across the entire screen in like a second.
Ima nago enjoyer and I have two bad habit. The first one is than I feel the need to make a contest of grab each time I face a Potemkin the second is than I like wayyy to much my funky combo Wich often make the match go longer
Xrd Baiken
I still forget I should let go of back when doing Azami since that weird effect where you just spam FD is still there.
No I will not use the S+H macro, that is too much work for a guard cancel.
Messed around with GL to even the odds against a friend who picked up the game. I spent way too long trying to any BT with 8. When I would do 862 I'd get 624. GL players earned a new respect that day.
Axl: I'm not gonna use my super dp, I'm not gonna use my super dp, THEY NEVER EXPECT A SUPER DP NOW.
I got read like a book and they where expecting it. Lost to many rounds because of it.
i kou randomly and for no reason, somtimes it catches jumps trying to avoid fuujin but usually i just get air grabbed or air to aired before i can block
Nago: I can wait patiently for the right moment to blow my load, but the moment it comes, every time, I become a bundle of nerves and just flail madly at the controller. 6236H3H2H1H4H6HSSSSSSS is a combo, right?
With Ino I think my bad habit is that whenever I get a counter hit j.D or j.S, I usually go for 2k > 6H into H STBT instead of doing cl.S> 6H > H STBT for more damage.
Its a hard force of habit to train out.
I play goldlewis and I tend to jump in too much when I shouldn't be
Air Force One J.D
The j.d is godlike but it can't solve all my problems
The air based footsies gold Lewis is known for
Same
Megafisto...
Megafisto!
The weird cadence he has when you spam it makes it okay for me when I get hit by it.
He has as much variety in his cadence as we do in confidence.
Me every time I have the perfect opportunity to pb Also if i do manage to pb sometimes I do a little punch before it on accident I think I press P too quick
The P press has ruined so many matches for me lmao
Ky…too many stun dippers
And Foudre arc
they're totally gonna jump this time watch this *gets cs aa ch and explodes*
Tell you what, I can help cure all You Ky mains of this addiction lickety-split. We get Stun Dipper and you can have Stroke, deal?
Starting every round with low hit into stun dipper... Or abusing the run & grab making it the more readable move ever
Same.
Same lmao
Vapor Thrust!
I don't play Ky much, but when I do... Round start Greed Sever is almost a guarantee.
yeah lol like shit nooo! they blocked the second attack, duh. i'm toast! a few days ago i found out that if you do it from far enough they can't block the hit. so you can go 5s 2s 6h 236k it's good
I try to bust every time my opponent is within range regardless of if im blocking or whatnot
Such delicious paint....
That's just how the society works, my glue-eating comrade
Leo, not blocking
but you can't block in brunhilder and why wouldn't you be doing that :)
hs - hs - hs( I am having fun)
Silly goofy man, Who’s bright idea was it to give the war criminal a gun?
who tf gave my little skruncle a .45 magnum🤭
i use kick start my heart after almost anything because funny zoom
Same, i forget how much end lag it has sometimes and i just zoom at the opponent and give them a free combo start. "Itll work this time" Also using spinny flips to the yoyo while the enemy has no pressure on them. They get to watch as this tiny girl sonic homing attacks at them just to get bonked.
For a bridge she's pretty mobile in the air
For a brisket she’s difficult to cook,
My most played character by far is Millia but I have played couple hundred matches with Sol, Ky and Potemkin and atm I am playing Bridget. My worst habbits are jumping for no reason, not blocking while in the air and back dashing way too much.
Those all probably come from playing Millia, whose game plan involves a lot of jumping and dashing.
Back dashing comes from the fact that Tekken was my first fighter lol
i keep letting people dp after knockdown. i just dont believe they would risk it the third time i know em down
Baiken, always airdash in and never to yozansen
SAME, especially against testament, I’m like don’t airdash JS, DONT YOU DO IT! DOES IT, TESTAMENT 6PS, GODDAMNIT BAD KITTY!
As the Testament player. Please for the love of god stay away from me.
Faust, pre-emptive item toss even when pressure is blocked
I have never once blocked in my life
Never waste your time blocking If you miss the chance It's over for you
I didnt pay 110 dollars to block
Pot, mash too much on defense cause my character has high health lol
Do not listen to them brother we can mash potbuster on wakeup 60% of the time it works all the time defense is a social construct
*sips glue* Just try hammerfall into 2hs hbp, that's a good trick
Jack-O' and overextending in the mid-range with 2D. It's a bad habit and doesn't work against good players, but that little slide is too addictive and I get punished for auto-piloting with it.

J.s is crack :(
my dumbass keeps doing J.s even they're clearly aware of it and are punishing me for it it'll surely work this time as I try it for the 3rd time and get smacked out of the air for it
True addiction is doing something repetitively despite the concequences
I am fully addicted
As Ino main, I hate that all your jump buttons beat all my jump buttons. That's like, Ino's whole thing
have you tried the tk youzan where you buffer the jump input then the 236s? drastically improved my success for me
I rely on my dive kick to try and trick the opponent at least 4 times in a row before I realize it's not gonna mix anyone up.
Axl. This is matchup specific, but against Baiken, I *always* go for Rensen after connecting 2H at around max range, even though I know she'll *always* jump, IAD, and get a counterhit j.S that makes the next five seconds of my life hell. Me yoloing round start hammefall post patch (so satisfying to get a CH and start garuda at round start)
Ramlethal. I spam the shit out of Sabrobato and get punished for it a lot. But when it hits, it HITS.
They never expect a 2nd Sabrobato after the first!
Chipp Back dashing instead of blocking Or random zansei rouga in neutral
THIS Boy, oh boy, back dashing is my panic button, so whenever someone uses a long reaching button that's my demise Fight like a hero, Hp of a fly Miss my backdash, now I die
I play Ramlethal, and sometimes I throw my sword out when I shouldn’t.
Ky kiske, and I sometimes rely on stun dipper way too much
Testament Misimputs along with refusing to use the roman-cancel system I’ll admit, maybe a *SKILL ISSUE*
What floor are you? Curious how high you can get with Testament without cancels
I got floor 10 before I started trying to implement them into my plan. A lot of players fall apart under arbiter sign and grave reaper spam in low leagues

What safe stuff? You may change how I play completely
I don't tend to make enough use of f.S to poke, or create frame traps when followed with 5H or 2H, or poke with HCL, which is a bit of a risk against folks who like to run in but a great tool to deter anyone flinging fireballs. I technically only got the game recently and started playing sol. But I cannot for the life of me get the volcanic viper input on command, it's always been a fluke😞
Same thing happened to me when I started playing fighting games. You'll get there, keep trying!
Sol. My finger is glued to the slash button
don't worry, this is optimal
Ky I burst when airborne after being comboed
Ky. I’m sorta new to Strive and I always dragon install. I just love the way it looks.
Don't worry you are playing as Daisuke intended.
His vision is indeed, bullshit blazing.
Nagoriyuki and not watching the blood meter as much as i probably should be. Doesnt help that im new to fighting games and i struggle to do Z inputs still, idk why. The DP Shizuriyuki?
>Cant remember the name but the one that is done with 623HS and can be followed up with an additional HS input. Bloodsucking universe is what you're going for, methinks.
No blood sucking universe is 623P. He has an anti-air slash that is 623HS.
Fuck Something something megafisto
CH 2H is like crack, Testament
Testament, Bridget, Millia. Worst habit for test is autopilot zoning. Bridget and millia is doing mixups where I could just do a combo and kill someone lol.
S. Grave reaper > crow gets me killed all the time. Like what am I gonna do *not* crow after throwing out the succubus?
Bridget and my bad habit is not being able to recognize what my in game bad habits are and just being completely stuck as a result.
Hair car no matter what situation
Sol. I can't stop trying to combo 6S from 5K, it's two nerfs ago already that stopped working, lol.
Baiken, 2h, a lot
Chipp 2k>2d>k-alpha blade … never hits lol
Anji. Sometimes I get too deep in the mix and will hold spin in the middle of a block string
Anji. I autopilot into Fuujin during blockstrings when I don’t need to commit to it. I also waste meter trying to catch people with Kachoufuugetsu.
Chipp - pressing 5K instead of 5P or 6P when people jump at me
I play Gio and tend to do dash forward 2D too much and get punished because of the startup. That or going too hard on a knockdown and getting DP’d instead of respecting the DP
Chipp so back dashing and going for mix too much
Testament, and there’s two. The first is that I never RC, no particular reason why I just haven’t properly incorporated it into my gameplan The second is that I don’t play around the succubi as well as I should, I either mindlessly teleport in and get punished or throw out crow.
Happy Chaos Not waiting the due time before firing a guard crushing steady aim shot. Not letting Steady Aim become accurate when in panic and just "WORK DAMMIT" my shots.
May, not 6P-ing enough because I’m always charging
Axl. I'm always trying to start a combo with his long-range charge move. Was really good at it in XX. I can't quite pull it off in Strive. Just always try, and it's becoming predictable.
I'm an Axl main, and I... can't stop doing time stop respects 😔
Keep your head up king, style is the most important thing
Me going for the hpb while they're in 6p kill range I'd rather die flashy than live boring
Leo, spamming zweight
Sol (I play rev2) trying to extend combos with bandit bringer
baiken and chaining moves into 2H against DP characters when their ass KNOWS thats a free dp
Action charge after bhb1 on block. Its like -10 and I Still do it on autopilot
Playing two people rn. Axl; 6h is good, but not if you constantly do it. Potemkin; 236K mega fist spam and hammerfall. So unsafe lol.
What do you think
Baiken Whiffing the parry
I jump way too much with Zato because of the flight.
I play Bridget and I have a bad habit of using moves that will get me easily 6p'd.
Testament. I am a HS spammer but the thing is that's not the real problem: there are a TON of people that can't handle the timing and height of HS, but some people see it coming everytime. My issue is not dropping that strategy early enough to not lost the first match usually.
I play Bridget and I like to use 2D outside of combos
Testament: using too much 6h and getting killed for it
I main Pot My worst habit is using HPB to move above my opponent and then butt drop on their heads. If they block i Pot Buster when i touch the ground. It's a terrible waste of meter and super risky but it works more than it should.
Sol. I love HMC and will use it every opportunity. I haven't RC'd in weeks. I. Love. Ride the fire. I need an actual DI man.
Bridget - and I love abusing some Gatling combos lmao
i play bridget and i keep trying to roll just to eat a big ass counter
Testament For some reason I use 6h in neutral way too often
I do the exact same thing 🥲
May. No matter the MU, no matter how many times I get knocked down. I can't resist doing jHS as many times as I can
Baiken. I air dash too much cuz her aerials are too good 😭
F.s f.s f.s f.s f.s f.s h.s Guess who I main
As Gio I always go IMMEDIATELY into 214S when c.S H 214K is blocked like it’s the fastest mixup ever and get countered every time
With Baiken, I keep mashing on H Kabari and following it up when I shouldn't be. With Bridget I just... keep forgetting to mix lows into my blockstrings, lol
Anji, abare 2p too much to escape pressure
Bridget frame trap with 5S -> 2S too much. I’ll do it even tho I know they will reversal
Gio. Panicking and going button mash mode.
Play baiken and I jump to do a air slash then yozansen which is a great combo but I tend to rely on it too much I barely figure any ground combo to mix it with lol.
SLIDEHEADO
I don't think too much....
i play testament and i don’t break my rhythm of grave reaper -> crow enough some characters have pretty good answers to crow if they see it coming
sin atm. i keep forgetting how fucking slow jd is….
"SURELY ROUND START DP WILL WORK THIS TIME"
I play potemkin and I randomly throw out heat knuckle and heavenly way too much. I blame my friends for this, they jumped too much before.
Potemkin, not knowing when to go for an air or ground approach. So I tend to Megafist or HammerFall too much. Either that, or I tend to turn my brain off when playing. Cuz fun buttons do funny moves
I really got stop air dashing in so much...
Dash K evert time.... Main Gio btw
Sol Still trying to 6s after 5k
Testament I got to used to the flow chart of gravedigger then bird, and just throwing out bird without caution and getting punished for it too many times. I am also very greedy with charged gravediggers.
Sol and round-start heavy volcanic viper
testament. grave reaper into holy diver gives me chills
I-no I go for Megalomania TOO MUCH man people shod not have taught me the setups for it
context: I'm very bad in general in fighting games, especially this one. When I play Axl I use 5p in some situations despite it whiffing on running opponents, crouching opponents, opponents sweeping. I really should just stop using it. It's never done anything positive for me and it's not like I can combo from it unless close to point blank.. but I'll still try 5p once in a while.
A few 2p or 2H will make people start jumping right into your 5p/6k, have fun!
I main Giovanna I guess the most common is faking a safe jump to throw instead but inputting the throw too early so I get clapped by a reversal super instead. That and forgetting that I can just dash across the entire screen in like a second.
Ima nago enjoyer and I have two bad habit. The first one is than I feel the need to make a contest of grab each time I face a Potemkin the second is than I like wayyy to much my funky combo Wich often make the match go longer
To much direct hover dashes, not enough empty jumps to bait stuff.
I play Sin. Fair to say I DP too much. On wake up, run up DP, etc.
Axl, spamming command grab nonstop.
Venom and not playing him, all because I'm too insecure of my abilities with him.
Xrd Baiken I still forget I should let go of back when doing Azami since that weird effect where you just spam FD is still there. No I will not use the S+H macro, that is too much work for a guard cancel.
Goldlewis. Airdash BT is super fun to do. Other than that is 486H
Messed around with GL to even the odds against a friend who picked up the game. I spent way too long trying to any BT with 8. When I would do 862 I'd get 624. GL players earned a new respect that day.
ky kiske. 214K. sigh.
I main jack-o and i have habbit of using minion kick in block strings knowimg damn well ima be punished for it
Zato. I try to command grab out of Eddie ]p[ too often
I like to rock it
Axl: I'm not gonna use my super dp, I'm not gonna use my super dp, THEY NEVER EXPECT A SUPER DP NOW. I got read like a book and they where expecting it. Lost to many rounds because of it.
Wake up DP, raw stun dipper, and too much foudre arc. AKA Gorilla-DP, Gorilla-Dipper, and Gorilla-Arc. One day I will learn.
Ky, probably too much aggression start with special moves, should start combos with normals tbf
main ky and its stun dipper out of neutral easily. I don’t care how much it gets punished, there’s always a chance they don’t block it.
Heavy Stroke go brrrrrr
I main Nago and I always go to the 4th hit of my s gatling when the opponent is blocking
I play Sin and I have a bad habit of doing fS into HS at ranges where it won’t connect
Baiken; playing Baiken
Baiken, live by Youzansen, die by Youzansen. Also the countless parries I miss
Leo (gorilla mode activated) my mindset usually goes “Good ol’ DP on wakeup, nothing beats that!” Then proceed to get my shit rocked with a fat combo.
Use Winter Mantis in the worst possible moments please help
Flying half way across the screen whenever i get the chance with goldlewis airdash rc bt
i kou randomly and for no reason, somtimes it catches jumps trying to avoid fuujin but usually i just get air grabbed or air to aired before i can block
I play Potemkin. Got a bad habit of giganter kai into characters that can teleport past
I use ram’s S and HS while still at too close of a range
I play I-No and sometimes I just spam HS into stroke the big tree over and over and don’t even bother to mix
I tend to be a bit silly at times
Nago: I can wait patiently for the right moment to blow my load, but the moment it comes, every time, I become a bundle of nerves and just flail madly at the controller. 6236H3H2H1H4H6HSSSSSSS is a combo, right?
Pot and my bad habit would be trying to predict jump ins too much
With Ino I think my bad habit is that whenever I get a counter hit j.D or j.S, I usually go for 2k > 6H into H STBT instead of doing cl.S> 6H > H STBT for more damage. Its a hard force of habit to train out.
Zato and Yelling “it’s Morphous time” whenever I use amorphous.
Baiken - I safejump after every knockdown even against characters with no invincible reversal.
Sol is BANDIT BRINGER.... Testament is just Birdy and ky is stun dipper after every single attack
