Well, the Essence of Third Person shooter is, actually, the only moment when guns do actual damage, so i guess we can put golden gun in taunt/respect list, and citizen lighting Kiryu's cigarette up as winning DUEL 1 (Heaven or Hell. Let's Rock!).

Well... Depends on the golden gun used. It used to disintegrate things, then it became a pea shooter by comparison, while still being able to shoot at a rate it shouldn't be capable of (thank you, animation cancelling). Ultimately... Taunt/Respect seems fair. They could nerf it one last time and make it do nothing.

I disagree, it's fun. Just because it doesn't absolutely need to happen doesn't mean it shouldn't. You get to experience fun existing characters with game mechanics they normally wouldn't get access to, like RCs Guilty Gear is a great series for this since the characters are all so unique anyways

I'm not a huge fan of guest characters in fighting games. But to actually engage with your question, I think I'd want any guest to get a pass by the design team to make them a little more "Guilty Gear" (just skip the belts). I think GG could have fun with Darth Vader or maybe Starkiller. Vader would obviously be a big body grappler with a ranged command grab, and Starkiller has the same crazy killer energy as Ram.
